Lion Lion looked at the girl as she slumped over his back, his tail swished behind him and he looked up at Kathy stress lines appearing either side of his muzzle as he looked at the door. He grumbled low in his throat at Kathy, his ears flattening as she spoke to the girl and tapped her cheeks. He looked from one to the other, utter confusion apparent in his face as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. He blinked up at Kathy a low whine rattling through his throat as the girl slumped over him. Lion watched with his head cocked to the side as Kathy shouted out for help, his eyes drifting around the library ears flickering. He braced himself as Kathy tried to carry the girl, his tail swishing unhappily behind him. He grumbled at Kathy, agitation entering his face when he realized she couldn’t understand him. He nodded her head as she leant on him, moving slowly with her as she struggled forward. His ears flicked forward as he peered through the library doors, seeing the clumsy red haired man from before leaning back against the wall opposite the library doors, book in hand. He wrinkled his nose at the idea of going to him for help, he looked over his shoulder in the direction he had seen the other male go. When he looked back he realized Crash was looking back into the library with a most peculiar expression. Lion flailed his left paw in the air trying to get the red haired boys attention. Crash Crash had decided to hang around for a while longer, he’d even brought himself to begin reading through Romeo and Juliet, he was leaning back against the wall book in hand flicking through the pages with meager interest his mind was elsewhere So much tragedy, can’t there just be love? Why can’t it be simple He chewed the inside of his cheek as he remembered something a friend of his had said. Because love is something you have to really work at, its amazing the lengths people will go to, to be together. Hardship either makes love stronger or it reveals it to be false Crash sighed audibly I can’t believe I’m thinking about this, I need to go bench press something to restore my masculinity As if on cue he looked back up at library door that was when he saw them, Kathy seemed to be giving someone a piggy back...his brow creased as she leant against Lion. “What on earth...” He murmured, standing up and tucking the small paperback into his back pocket. His eyes narrowed as the lion looked at him and started waving its paw around like it had stood in an undesirable substance. Despite his hesitation to enter the library again so soon he moved over to the doors, they slid open and he saw things much more clearly, Kathy was trying to carry a girl who from first glance looked unconscious. Without hesitation Crash jumped forward, closing the gap between them in a few strides, he sunk down in front of Kathy, looping his arm underneath her in case she fell. “Get your butt here” He ordered the Lion, who slid in front of Kathy in case she fell whilst Crash moved around her, crouching behind her, he pulled the girl back gently, an arm looping around her shoulders. He eased her backwards. “Let go, I got her” Crash murmured to Kathy. Providing she let go he was able to pull the unconscious girl back onto his knees looping an arm under her knees and pulling her against his chest. The muscles in his arms became more apparent as he stood straight slowly, tilting her so her head fell against his shoulder. He was surprised at how light she was, he turned to Kathy with a curious expression. “You ok?” He asked, already moving to the doors, looking down at the unconscious girl in his arms. “What exactly happened?” Was his next question, as he stepped through the library doors stopping momentarily. “I can’t remember where the infirmary is...” He mumbled looking at Kathy with an apologetic look. Lion followed him his ears flickering uncertainly as he watched the commotion.
