– Kathy Sighing in relief, Kathy let the girl ease away from her and into Crash’s arms. “Whew, thank you.” Looking at Lion she gave him a quick pat on the head. “And thank you as well.” Taking a moment to catch her breath, she shook her arms in an attempt to relieve the tension in them. As tiring as it was, she hadn’t been moving for too long so she was quick to regain her normal breathing. ”You ok?” Crash asked. “What exactly happened?” “…” Feeling rather undignified at how easily he was lifting the girl, she furrowed her brows in discontent and frowned. Following Crash through the doors she answered, “I’m fine. To be honest, I have no idea what happened either. She seemed fine a while ago, but then she started burning up and lost consciousness.” Hearing Crash admit that he forgot where the infirmary was, she gave him a few reassuring taps on the shoulder and moved ahead of him. “This way.” Glad they were already in the main building, she led the way through the halls with a few glances back to check up on Crash and the girl. Looking down at Lion following them, she told him, “I promise. We’ll just drop her off, then look for Little Feather. Don’t worry about her, I’m sure she’s fine.” With the infirmary door coming into sight she looked at Crash and joked, “By the way, remind me to challenge you to a race or something later this week. I need to earn some of my self-esteem back.” Finally in front of the infirmary door, Kathy decided not to knock and instead chose to open the door just a crack to peer inside. After making sure the coast was clear, she held the door open for them and waved them in with a sheepish look. “Er, I’ll wait here. If I go inside with this hand, I’m going to be jumped by Kiwi.”
