Don't question Eckhart's existence. He might vanish. :( In all seriousness, I do agree that there needs to be a slight better lean towards seriousness. It's still a comedy, but it's certainly not slapstick, Cartoon Network comedy. I wanted to say South Park, but like... that's actually pretty smart, despite its blatant idiocy. Go for Hitchhiker's Guide bizarreness. It's bizarre, but Adams was very adept at keeping his audience very well grounded during the adventures of Arthur Dent and Crew. It especially helped that we had Arthur to very well relate too during every book in the series and the Hitchhiker's Guide excerpts to explain everything to us.
