Well, that took an hour to do, but I'm caught up. Frettzo, did you happen to have plans for anyone to come along and help Liam, or is that spot still open? Ssarak, Meirin, and a few guards could happen along them on their way to the dining hall. Or perhaps Dirssi? I still need to put her somewhere.

Now, Alaira defeated the abomination without taking significant damage because I felt one solid blow would likely kill her. To compensate, she only really has enough energy to cast one more spell.

Alright, just need to decide on Ssarak and Meirin, or Dirssi. I suppose I'll wait until Ryonara gets online. In the event that doesn't happen today, I'll write one for Dirssi.

You know, as I learn more about who Khan's demons are, I have to wonder if one is literally Hitler.

Lol, nope, he was a demon in the last one before guildfall. I think most their histories predate Hitler. Though it was a good guess, I will give you a hint for them. Though tbh, some of Upsah's slang can give you a hint of his origins, but I tried to only put a bit or else no one would've been able to understand him. XD

Upsah: He's a famous killer who's identify has never been discovered.
Olreah: Thousands of young, beautiful women died all to fill a bath and fed her vanity to stay young.
Heus: Myths say he was strong enough to have strangled two snakes when he was a baby.
Rathel: A famous Greek philosopher.

Upsah and Zaad are easy. However I really don't think any greek philosophers ever committed genocide. I mean, there was one whose teachings led to many deaths via a poor understanding of medicine, but still. Not direct genocide.

Naturally not, after his first life he was put back through the life cycle and reborn. However it was his last life which created the genocide and consumed his soul. That life happened in Tiien, a few decades after the nukes hit.

I still know so little of Tien's past, like how long it has been since then, or how common it is for people to know the extent of the world's past.

Each God measures time by different way, each unique to their own, so telling you exact dates won’t be easy Elite. Mainly cause it doesn’t leave much of a cushion for us to play around with and the fact rarely anyone have lived from the nukes event to the present. About the only one that would be able to access that knowledge would be the Archmage himself, though it’s unlikely he would survive the effort and tell the tale. So it’s easier to list key events even if your PC will never know them. Hopefully this will satisfy some curiosity until you learn it IC from a few special guests in Act 3. *hushes* Though Lucius might’ve changed Kudd’s part in history but that’s my explanation for why he hates the Gods and tends to be more powerful than any living Demonomancer on Tiien. >_> I also took out most the spoilers in concerns with the plotline. :P

Interesting. That does give me more insight into the lore. So there has been quite a bit of time pass since then. How common would the knowledge be that there was even a world before Tien. I mean, if there are demons whose souls were around then, and they remember it, then it seems like Demonmancers would be able to learn about it.

Of course, this is all give-or-take when it comes to exact timing. The world as a whole doesn't have a universal calander, with each nation leasuing time differently. An elf may never notice twenty years passing by while a human would just be beginning to live on their own. Combined with different cultures and idealology, getting an accurate measure of the before time is an exercise in fruition. But youre free to do the math as it pleases you.

Many of the more powerful demons would remember life before, if they have been keeping records. Their memory isn't perfect, what with the constant dying that usually goes on in the Inferno. That being said, there is a sect of demons who have isolated themselves from the inhabitants of the Inferno solely for the purpose of record keeping. While most of their records are very specialized, finding them often allows the person access to ancient knowledge. Or something. You'd be surprised how many demons of this type would cling onto meaningless things, like how to make soda.

Hmm, so would students at the college learn about the past? Not all the details or anything, but general knowledge?

Some things, perhaps, but it really depends on what you want to know. Things like technology will, eventually, be recreated under the new influence of magic. One day a crossbow will become repeating, eventually it won't even need the bow, and suddenly you have something a lot like a gun. If you want to know things like people of the past, events from our history, that would be difficult to discover without finding the right demon or someone who's bothered to delve that far into the past. It's on a "Need to know" basis really, but if you want to go on an adventure to find out, that's on you. That said, the coming events may be difficult for students of the college to partake in scholarly pursuits, what with war going on.

Unlikely as it main function is to teach students about their magic and usually Ren interferes some times when too much of the past is discovered. The thing about Demons, other then special ones like Khan's, they aren't souls at all but rather Evlis/Sins of them which are separated at time of death. Which the Demon might have echoing memories of their past lives, as Lucius said it's not reliable including the way they keep stuff and most don't even remember their lives before the Inferno. That's the way I understood it when he explained it. So it's unlikely Demonomancers would learn of the history and objects of the past were destroyed by the nukes and Gods.

Keep in mind, the past is repeating itself again. If humans and other races discover modern tech too fast, magic fades and disappears. Look at what has happened to the Ancient magic... In the last 200 years it was as common as the others but with the rediscovery of the book, a few tech advantages and so, the magic is pushed out as a result. That's why the man in the prologue hadn't heard of the College... At that point, the magic has faded enough because people no longer depend on it. :P
