Eh, always thought civil war storyline was the weak, half-finished bastard child thrown by Bethesda and adopted by Nexus/Workshop.

Indeed, so much potential wasted. As a Redguard who actively see's warfare as a means of growth and an art of necessity. The Civil war that took place in Skyrim is weak. Very weak sauce. :P

The good thing about Pyandonea is that since there's pretty much no info about it, you can what ever you want. Just don't make it too overpowered.

And another good point I forgot to make.

Game mechanics and engine limitations are not meant to be taken as accurate representations of TES Lore. Going along your logic, one would be inclined to believe that the Oblivion Crisis wasn't the single most shitty thing to happen to 3rd era Tamriel.

Obviously I was joking, the civil war is still my fav part in the game after all. Especially with the overhaul.

Now back to my question, what is High Rocks stance on Orsinium?

That would be yet another concern of mine, as I'm not sure how much I trust myself to make Pyandonea appropriately powered. Out of the very little lore one can find on them, only two things are really mentioned- the fact that they have an inarguably dominant navy and their ability to manipulate and even ride giant sea-serpents. Both of those attributes already seem to be overpowered, so I'd need to implement some serious balancing.

ROLEPLAYING. :D

You certainly have a point, though I generally try to pick nations/characters/ideologies that I identify/sympathize with to some extent. Anyway, if can't pull off Pyandonea well enough, I'll get over my dislike of the Thalmor and pick up Alinor.

And either way I'll get to fight the racist elves as I planned? There is a god! Death to the Nazi's... I mean, death to the Thalmor!

General consensus is "We have too many problems at our doorsteps to worry about the weird family the next street over. Unless they come and visit. Because we'll fuckin' scalp 'em all together like we used to."

Well in that case the road to Orsinium seems open. Which would mean obtaining the excellent smithing skills of the orcs as well as gaining Orichalcum. Which could very well heavily benefit Hammerfell. Then on to the next phase of my plans :K

This would be like the 5th time you guys attacked Orsinium.

Their superior navy and sea-serpents are perfectly fine, nothing canon will be rejected.

They should really move somehwere else, like, who's plan was it to make our new nation RIGHT next to the martial society of (if not fighting among themselves) warmongering conquers. If not for Talos bringing them into the empire they would have continued conquering all over Tamriel.

Edit: The real problem with Pyandonea, is introducing them into Tamriel's politics, reclusive as they are.

Haha, likely the plan of a race who thought themselves stronger xD

That's basically my biggest issue at the moment. I have no clue why a near-unreachable civilization on a completely separate continent (if you could call Pyandonea that) would exit their 5,000 year isolation and suddenly try to immerse themselves in the local politics. I have no lack of ideas for Pyandonea itself, but justifying their sudden interest in Tamriel in some believable manner is proving difficult.

Thinking on it, it kind of makes sense. After all what do the Orc's love more then a good fight?

It may not be as hard as we might think, perhaps they have silently been observing what has been taking place on the main continent, have seen the foolishness of men cause the Oblivion Crisis, perhaps they might share their bother Mer's concerns that the race of man will destroy itself and all of them with it if left unchecked and unguided. The Races of men are young after all and have much to learn.

It's kind of a bio copy of the Thalmor's goals sure, but it's not implausible and self preservation is a strong enough notion to make such a drastic change. Perhaps the Thalmor have been feeding them lies the entire time about the Empires plans to invade them, or maybe their over fishing, I don't know. But there are a few possibilities.

Wasn't it the foolishness of Eleves, since Mankar was Altmer?

If it's fine with the GM, you guys can go on without me. I'll get my Pyandonea sheet in soon enough, and it shouldn't really be an issue if I'm absent from the RP for a day or two.

I think we should start, since the Maormer have political reasons for delaying their appearance so it's not as if it's anything knew they're silent
