Inadi gave a questionable look to Ace while letting out a sigh. Tame a dragon? How was the the first thing on her mind. For as peppy as she acted she definitely seemed to be a little insane. Albeit in a cutesy way, but insane nonetheless. Last thing Inadi wanted to do was tame a bloody dragon. He would just as soon want to brave the labyrinth and face the Minotaur with a straw before he did that. Usually dragons had a desire for two things in all the stories he had read. Gold was one. Inadi never understood why since there was no place for the dragon's to spend it. Things that big and vicious didn't need to pay taxes either he thought with a chuckle. The other thing was flesh. Albeit sometimes it was livestock more than anything, but some dragons did eat people and other humanoid creatures. Dwarves, elves, man. Didn't really matter. So long as they were filling. The thought of swimming in the belly of such a large creature made Inadi cringe as he continued to pull himself up onto the slippery rocks. Ace, though she was a bit on the odd side, seemed to be genuinely kind enough that she never seemed perturbed by his questions or curiosity. He at least could commend her for that. He wouldn't mind digging into her mind a little more later on, just to see what exactly made her such a cheery person. The boy just prayed that she was not like this early in the morning. If there was one thing Inadi hated dealing with it was morning people. Luckily for him when he first arrived in Nowhere, Mr. Cuddles turned out to be just like him. Slow to start but fast once woken up. Definitely more so an afternoon kind of person....or bear in this case. Watching the sun begin to set he began bringing his hand up to his arm that held his spear, which at this point may as well have become a crutch. The air was suddenly much colder now, which he assumed was because of the wet surroundings of the forest. The worst thing that could happen now was if there was a storm that suddenly began bursting above them. Inadi quickly leaned next to a nearby tree and tapped it with his knuckles, praying that his thought wouldn't cause bad luck to head their way. After he did so one of the guides suddenly began yelling back at him and the rest of the humans. Inadi's eyes shot up, worried that it was a dragon coming. Quickly, he grabbed his spear and began running with it. He had the idea at one point to try and pole vault his way towards everyone but decided against it. He was definitely not athletic enough to try that, let alone think he could do it. A sudden flash of light blinded Inadi due to his glasses and he grew nervous. As the light died out he looked and say the outlines of the elemental wolves. Through sheer reflexes along, Inadi flashed the tipped edge of his spear towards the wolves. He backed off slowly, monitoring the small subtle movements of the wolves as they seemed to just stand there snarling. Inadi felt a new chill climb up his back as he began following the rest of the group. For whatever reason he seemed to be moving just fast enough so he would be close enough to the group that if any other wolves appeared he would be there to fight them off. Yet he kept facing the wolves that they did see with his spear still stretched out. Somehow he got the worst job out of the group by default it seemed. Last line of defense. Seeing Riley and Harper now beginning to struggle as well as the guides, Inadi decided that it was best to just start moving on and followed some others into the cave they were mentioning. He felt badly that he wasn't really caring who was in front or behind him, but he desperately wanted to save his own hide before there was nothing left to say. Some rocks hit him in the back, but the rush of adrenaline made him almost unaware of the damage. Leaping his way into the cave he was able to enter just before the cave closed the only entry way in. Inadi picked himself up and started feeling the effects of the escape. His chest was on fire and his back suddenly felt like a heavyweight boxer had just wailed on him for eight rounds. He thought eight because he knew wouldn't last ten. Hearing the small call of Marco from a familiar voice, Inadi decided to respond. “Polo. Ugh. Talk about a rough hike.” He said with a groan as he picked himself up and walked towards where he heard the voice. It was dark, but there was just enough light coming from the caved in section of the wall due to the slivers of space between the rocks. “So this thing looks like it would be a pain to get through. Best thing is to keep going down the tunnel like you said. For once, I think adventure is the best option here.” Inadi said as he felt the wall of rocks behind them. It was heavy, wet and most of all too big for any of them to handle. Inadi let out a sigh as he sat down with his back resting on the caved in entrance. Resting his spear up on his shoulder he looked up at Ace with an agitated look. “This all seems like a bad fantasy novel. Almost like J.R.R. Tolkien's book when that giant squid thing traps his heroes in a mine. I just pray this place doesn't have any nasty goblins.” He thought out loud. Resting his head on the rocks behind him, he waited for others to announce themselves. That is if there was anyone else alive in the cave. Thinking about it though, Inadi realized he got his wish. He was probably going to get to know Ace a lot better it seemed, as well as whoever else was in this cave. A chuckle escaped his throat as he looked up at Ace with a half smile, trying to relax his muscles after the death defying escape they just did.
