Raising an eyebrow at him as he said she was the only girl that would talk to him. Okay, so it was kind of true, she and he could hold a conversation for hours without any interruptions except for the desperate need to go to the bathroom. “Well,” She said to his comment about people losing interested at the punch in the face, “You never know.” Her small shoulders rose and fell in a shrug as she buried herself in her sandwich keeping every thought she could off of him, not wanting to mention her feelings towards him and hoping he would ask her. When he mentioned about the home videos and that she was going to become an adult, she gave him a cheeky smile. “That sounds like a wonderful way to spend my Saturday. Though… I have one request.” She leaned forward a bit, whispering to him, “Seeing as though I’m not going to prom, I did buy a dress. It would be a waste to never wear it. Do you mind if I wear it to your house? I’d feel bad that I purchased the dress and never got to wear it.” And the person I’d want to wear it for is who’s house I’m going to… either that or out fighting crime. When he agreed to it she beamed and the day of school began. -------------- The week was slow, so slow, Rick had begun to act weird. Somewhat withdrawn and reserved, even form his own friends. But there was that twinkle of arrogance in his eyes whenever he looked at her. Either that he was excited he thought she was his date or he had some kind of secret compared to everyone else. This just made her roll her eyes and ignore him at school. He was leaving Peter alone and even Flash left him alone. Though he did get a good lecture from her when they walked back inside from school that day that defending yourself doesn’t make you a bad person; she even referenced Spider-Man and that if the criminals gave him the choice he wouldn’t go out of his way to hurt them, he just subdues them. Then she had to explain about her encounter with him on Sunday night but left out the kiss, she’d be in the doghouse enough as is. Saturday finally showed up and her parents thought she was going to prom since she spent all day prepping like any happy teen would but little did they know she wasn’t going. And they weren’t too happy when she told them that her date was meeting her there. They called it ungentleman-like and everything but refusing to let her walk to the school they gave her her mom’s jeep and sent her on her way with loving speeches and reminders to be safe. She gave them a small wave, grabbed her bag with a change of clothes so when she called them from Peter’s and said she was staying the night, she wouldn’t have to come home. Soon the raven haired girl knocked on his door, her pink and black dress her long black hair pulled back into a bun and clipped, her signature perfume aligning her neck and shoulders. She pushed down the ruffles of the black dress as she climbed out of the jeep and locked it. Feeling to make sure everything was in place properly and her flower perfectly rested against her upper left hip, she raised her hand up and knocked on the door, her small bag in her right hand with her clothes for the morning, she listened patiently for Peter to come get the door. She wasn’t sure what the situation was with Aunt May tonight but it shouldn’t be an issue. Could…. Could she tell him tonight?
