Mygeeto, 19 BBY, Clone Wars

Six watched as Jedi Master Kid Adi Mundi finished off the remaining B2 Battle Droids with sheer ease. He was an amazing warrior and Six admired his ability. The rest of the Clone Troopers surveyed the area and decided the battle was over. Mundi looked over at Six and walked over to him. "Thank you Six for the support. Fortunately, the 501st will be here within the hour to help me finish the rest. If you have other matters to attend to, then I relieve you of your position."

Six nodded, "Thank you sir." Six turned and began walking in the direction of a command center. He and a small group of other Clones had helped Kid Adi Mundi secure a landing pad for the 501st, an elite legion of Clone Troopers who were coming to help him take out a Separatist base. Little did Mundi know, the 501st were secretly seeking a power source for unknown reasons, but Six was not classified for that objective. Six didn't know any of the Clones at this particular base, as many had been called in from local squads for a temporary joint effort. Six didn't much care for these Clones, but fighting alongside Mundi in the little time he did was something to admire.

When he reached the command center a clone approached him. "A-6, there was a transmission sent for you." Six nodded and moved past the messenger before activating a nearby terminal. He selected the most recent transmission and set it to play.

"A-6, you are to report back to Jason Renkin. The Jedi Knight is leading an assault on one of the last remaining Separatist strongholds in the region and we need your support. CT-6354 out."

Jason Renkin was a Jedi Knight who had been assigned to Mygeeto for the past few weeks. Mygeeto was on the verge of Republic control, but the resisting Separatists were dug in deep. Six himself had served along Jason for a good while and grew to admire the Jedi although he was much different than the typical Jedi. Six pointed at one of the Clone Troopers assigned to a landing pad, "are you in charge of this landing pad?"

"Yes sir," the clone replied.

"I need an LAAT as soon as you can get one."

"Yes sir." The Clone Trooper activated a transmitter on his arm and asked for an LAAT. An LAAT was a Low Altitude Assault Transport used by the Clone Troopers.

As Six awaited its arrival he asked the clone "Any idea why the 501st are making their way here?"

"I am not classified to answer that question commander."

Six nodded his head and sighed. "Wish you were somewhere else," he asked, trying to spark a conversation.

"My duty is to Republic, nothing more, sir."

Six didn't even reply. This was a standard Clone Trooper. He had almost no feelings, not like Six anyway. Six had not been altered nearly as much as this trooper and was able to think independently. This... this 'clone trooper' was barely more than a droid. But that was the goal: to make a flesh and blood equivalent to a droid. That was the bulk of the Republic's Grand Army: what Six though of as 'mindless drones'. He thought himself above these Clones and dismissed them as a disgrace to Jango Fett, Six's own trainer before the Clone Wars had begun. Fett had been the template to the Clone Army, but the not many Clones could match Fett's ability. Six admired Fett and was deeply pained when he learned of his death.

Finally, the LAAT arrived. Landing on the platform, Six climbed in with a few other Clone Troopers. "I need to get to Jedi Knight Jason Renkin's forward command center as fast as possible pilot."

"Yes sir," the pilot responded before taking off again and heading off to Leto-77, the command center where Jason and the rest of his clones would be waiting.

CT-3519, or Doc as the clone preferred to be called, wasn't awaiting transport on some landing pad. He was ducked behind a piece of debris, patching up a downed Clone before droids opened fire on his specific position again, instead of in his general direction. The fighting was thick, which was none too surprising considering it was one of the last Separatist outposts on the planet that was still holding out against the Republic forces, in all their glory. Or so many believed of the tin soldiers wound up and marched off to ever so glorious deaths. He shunted off the bitterness in that thought, he focused on the task at hand. The trooper had been grazed by blaster fire, but the main damage came from a thermal detonator taking out a chunk of his other arm. No way this one was going to be fighting without some serious work back at the medical center proper. But he needed stabilized first, and that was something he was more than equipped and trained to do. Several larger bacta patches over the worst of the injured areas, and bandages over the other parts, forming an impromptu sling to prevent unnecessary movement, and to support the injury until he could be evacuated from the firefight.

There was no way Doc could run the injured clone back, not with the fighting that was going on now. Instead, he braced the trooper on the rubble so he would be least likely to take a blaster bolt that would probably push the likely lethal into certainly lethal when it came to the injuries sustained. Making sure he was clear to the clone that yes, he was done with the fight and was to keep his head down and no, he was not to try and prop himself up to open fire on the droids unless it was life or death, he grabbed his compact DC-15S and opened fire from his point of cover, ducking down as several droids returned fire. The attempted flanking maneuver on the outpost had failed, and now it was a bogged down distraction, forcing the separatists to fire in multiple directions now instead of just being able to focus fire in one direction. Granted, that was little consolation to Doc as the Sergeant in charge of this flanking maneuver went down, helmet rolling away in a different direction of the rest of the Clone. Well, that cut off the official leadership for this flank group, but the Clones kept firing and keeping at least some of the Separatist forces distracted. It worked, sure as sure, which would no doubt make Doc's job none too easy before too long, as this kind of firefight begged for another clone to get hit.

The jedi in charge, Renkin, would probably need to know of the development on their situation, so Doc took de facto control, since none of the other Clones had the time or thought to do so, considering the Sergeant or another specialist would take care of that normally. He had to respect the Jedi, the man had proven adept at patching people up from what he had seen, which was always welcome. It was simple to just blast someone or cut them down, but taking those injures and preventing them from proving deadly was not quite as simple. So the man had his respect in that regard, but it was moot, he had a report to make. "Sir, Doc here. The sergeant of the flanking force is down, casualties are starting to mount and the uninjured are too pinned down to advance as originally planned. Fair amount of fire is being drawn though, might create an opening for the main force." That would be all he got off for now, as another fiercer volley of blaster fire forced him to duck down low, dragging another Clone down before he lost his head, literally. Another one went down, and when the worst of the current fusillade of fire ended, he bolted for that piece of cover, a bacta patch in one hand, blaster rifle in the other, firing shots at the Separatists before ducking down, starting his grim work again, taking pot shots when he needed to protect the Clone under his care.

Rayux knew he had to stop the droids from advancing any further so the LZ wouldn't be lost for the incoming reinforcements. He saw clones drop left and right trying to stop the advance. One of the clones that had fallen was the sergeant who was in charge of the op. The losses were quickly amounting to a number that would put the whole operation in jeopardy, not having a commander now didn't help either. If no one stepped up and took charge there wouldn't be any clones here to greet the reinforcements. Rayux quickly looked around at his fellow troopers who were exchanging blows with the Separatists. Waiting to see if anyone was going to take charge, to his surprise no one took the responsibility. He watched as a clone who had just been assigned to Mygeeto take a blast to the face. A medical clone quickly rush to him to check to see if he was still breathing He'd see this happen to many good men and knew he was gone. Under his breath the sergeant cursed.

It was at that moment Rayux knew if no one was going to take charge and stop the advance he'd have to be the one. Checking his minigun to make sue it was still loaded he looked to clone next to him and nodded. And it went down the line until everyone knew what was about to happen. Before the charge he looked up at the sky, knowing this might be the last thing he does. If dying help take this outpost and help the Republic win this damn war he was fine with it and had no regrets. Looking down the line at the troops they all looked back at the sergeant waiting for the signal. "On three we charge these tin cans and take back what is ours! Fight to your last breath and don't let your brothers sacrifice go unneeded! One! Two! Three!" They all moved from their cover charging forward firing while many took blaster shots but kept firing despite being wounded. Rayux saw a medic with a couple wounded clones and decided he'd move to them to help move to wounded soldiers to safety.

Phoenix was hanging further back, he didn't go to far from Jason, but he was far enough to snipe the enemy. He pulled out the sniper enhancement for his DC-17m and quickly put it on as he looked down the scope he saw the charging team, and one who pulled off towards the medic. "Drawing more fire to already dying men, abandoning a line trying to hold off, abandoning his given duty," Phoenix growled tempted to shoot the man as he ran, but he held back, no point killing a man whose likely to die anyway. Even then it's Jason's choice not his. Phoenix began picking off some of the droids, focusing especially on the B2 Super Battle Droids.

Phoenix eventually began moving towards the men, until eventually he couldn't snipe anymore and he had to go back to the base blaster mode on his DC-17m. Once linked back up with the rest of the men his priority became defending the medic, the more men we can get who can fight the more likely we'll all survive.

IC: A figure stood behind the clones, seemingly unperturbed by the blaster bolts flying around him and the droid armies arranged against his men, seemingly waiting-

And he moved, reaching up to his in-ear communicator and pressing the send button, speaking slightly more angrily than most Jedi would have done under the circumstances. Jason was letting his anger build, his Force aura growing stronger but greyer. "I read you, Doc. Support is coming your way."

He turned to the three squads behind him, letting up on the earpiece. Taurus squad was heavily armored, Gryphon's armor was built for speed while not sacrificing protection, and the members of Roc squad were his jetpack specialists, who had been grounded for the majority of the battle. The Separatists were well aware of them.

"Gryphon Squad, support Phoenix. Try to cover the Sergeant's charge while you're there, but your primary priority is to prevent Doc from being overrun. Taurus, you're with me. We're going the frontal assault route. Roc, while the Separatists are distracted with Rayux's men, I want you to try something just the slightest bit crazy. Swap suits with Gryphon, then go to the armory and request a Z-6 for each of you, a few detonators, and your jetpacks."

Each of the squad commanders nodded and turned away, going off toward his men as Jason clicked into the comm channels once more. "All able soldiers, cover Taurus and Roc squads! Let's crack this nut open!"

***

"Go, go, go!"

Jason and Taurus ran forward, the Jedi deflecting blaster bolts directed at him with ease. The clones quickly fell into cover, destroying the targets that the Jedi's furious assault didn't. But as much as they were doing, they were only a distraction. Meanwhile, a squad wearing the distinctive insignia of a giant eagle joined Phoenix behind cover, taking careful shots. The Separatist comm chatter changed, focusing fire on those soldiers, trying to eliminate them as quickly as possible, as they marched ever closer to Doc's position, sheer numbers overcoming the skill of the clones-

And then the onslaught began. Six lights appeared on the Republic lines, six shooting stars flying into the sky. And as the disguised members of Roc squad rained explosives and blaster fire down on the Separatists, the droids realized their mistake. The march toward the clones had put them solidly in the middle of no-man's land, and there was no cover to protect the majority of the assault force. If it had been an organic force, the battle would have been won there and then as panic spread through the ranks of the assembled droids. As it was, however, the ground troops had to finish the job.

One order broke through the static and chatter:

"Advance!"

"Advance!"

Phoenix heard it, he heard it loud and clear, he immediately began his advance shouting at the droids, he was ready to kick their tin hides after he'd been only able to cover till then. He got in killing first with the blaster till it became to close ranged so he began to just kill them off with the vibro-blades in his wrists. This was going well, until a Super shot him in the side. "GAHH," he shouted falling to the ground, he new he'd be ok but God did it hurt, he pulled out his DC-17 Hand Blaster dispatching the B2 with several shots. Not wanting to get up, he stayed down still taking shots at the droids running, and those still fighting.

"Sir, we're coming up on Leto-77, but there's a problem."

Six looked up from his rifle. He had been inspecting it for the inevitable battle. "What's the problem, pilot?" Six stood up and walked to the front of the cockpit. Behind him were about five other Clone Troopers serving as back-up.

"Jason and his forces are under heavy fire at Leto-77. If I get try to land to close the droids will blast this LAAT out of the sky. I'll need to hang back and drop you off on one of the lower levels."

Six thought for a moment. If they landed to far away Jason's forces would culminate more casualties, but if they flew in to close they'd surely be shot down. Six sighed and sat down in the empty seat beside the pilot, turning on a transmitter. "This is A-6 to Leto-77 Command, give me a status update." The transmitter received nothing but static for a few moments before finally emitting a high-pitched noise and quietening down. Someone had patched through.

"This is CT-3628. Jedi Knight Renkin and his forces are managing to turn the battle around. Jet Troopers are in the skies but we don't know how long they'll hold out. There's lots of wounded and they need immediate support - now."

Six responded: "This is A-6, I have an LAAT and Five Clone Troopers and I am en route to Jason's position. Support is on its way." Six stood up and grabbed the pilot's shoulder, "head Leto-77, but don't slow down, I need to examine the battlefield." The pilot nodded and Six walked back to the side of the LAAT. A minute passed by and he could oversee the devastating battle blow. Renkin was on the ground leading a force of Clones, and he could see the Jet Troopers in the air taking out the droids. Other clones were located all around the area, many of them wounded. Renkin was holding out, but for how long? He was a damn good Jedi, but Six wasn't about to let some automated droids surround him.

As soon as the droids saw the LAAT they immediately began firing on it. The gunship began to rock and tumble and wouldn't last long against the BS droids rockets. "Pilot," yelled Six, "try circling around and land quickly - don't worry about making a soft landing, we can't afford to slow down and stay in the air for to long!"

The pilot did his duty and circled around the battlefield. The clones inside alternated firing their blasters at the Seps below, giving Jason and his troopers much needed support. "Hold on," the pilot said as the LAAT began to descend. It wasn't meant for this kind of landing but if the LAAT sat idle in the air for to long it was a prime target. It hit the ground and began sliding, unleashing a hideous screeching noise on the metallic surface below. It slid to a halt behind some rubble. Not to far away was a clone named Doc. Six immediately ran over to him and the wounded he was patching up.

"Doc? It's me Six." Six then motioned for his clones to make their way over to the rubble. "Give this trooper some cover fire while he gets the wounded to the LAAT." The clones nodded and took up positions along the wall. "Doc, I need to get to Jason, these clones are under your command now, do what you will with them." When the clones opened fire to cover Doc, Six took it as an opportunity to make a run for Jason's position. "Jason," he yelled, but was cut off by a nearby explosion, sending him stumbling behind cover. "Son of a..." He managed to get his aching body up and make his way to some cover near Jason. "Jason, it's Six, I'm here. Just tell me what to do."

Doc heard the Jedi Knight sound off, that support was inbound. And indeed it was, with jet pack troopers and their decoys moving to act. That inevitable droid march they so loved backfired, leaving them in the open with no cover. The advance order was not for him, however, not yet, as he was still working on injured troops. Besides that, having a medic charging alongside the assault troops wouldn't be as helpful as having him follow and grab the wounded and pull them to cover, providing fire support where able. Of course, the assault had some injured going down, and he heard the familiar sound of a LAAT incoming. All sorts of help all at once, it seemed.

Doc was analyzing the situation when he heard all manner of things going right, and wrong, at the same time. He heard the LAAT make a hard landing, courtesy of Six, an ARC trooper that had been rather helpful this entire time, when it came to a war perspective. He responded to Six's orders as well, wrapping up on the Clone that he was working on, making sure he was stabilized to prevent him from being injured further. Looking at the clones he was placed in command of, he nodded briefly before snapping off orders. "Roger that Six, thanks for the help. Alright men, going to keep it simple, continued suppression pattern onto the Sep forces. I need to start moving the wounded and grab those that are injured. Let's work fast, men."

The clones that were placed under his command opened fire, a heavy volley of blaster bolts flied towards the Sep forces, giving Doc time to get the first of the wounded men safely back to the LAAT, and he spotted where a downed clone on his path back. That one was still firing, and had ended up in close quarters combat before being hit, it seemed. He would have to grab him when he had the chance, but there was still several more wounded to retrieve as he continued to dispatch simple orders, focusing fire on certain positions, distracting fire from the medic and his patients as he sprinted back and forth, dragging wounded men back to the LAAT, which was both a safer position now that it was on the ground and could transport the wounded once the anti air was dealt with. Finished with the wounded currently, he ducked down behind some rubble, breathing hard and firing several blaster rounds at the Sep forces, dispatching new orders.

"We still got wounded ahead of us, cover and advance, I need to grab them and start patching them up before relocating them back to the LAAT." Half the clones opened fire while Doc and the other half raced forward, blaster fire whizzing over their heads, and hitting the ground around them. Reaching cover, they opened fire to allow the other half to move up as well. The extra bodies, coupled with the Jedi's brazen assault was pushing against the Sep fortress steadily now. He was close enough to reach the wounded trooper, the markings on his armor making him stand out as Pheonix, a commando that had followed the Jedi in and was injured now. "Cover me, grabbing more wounded!" Short, and to the point, he made his dash out towards the injured clone, the clone forces behind him putting out an impressive amount of fire. A quick glance confirmed that it was a shot to the side, and he grabbed the trooper, speaking at the same time. "Keep your head down, going to have you patched up in no time."

Doc would pull the commando to the nearest piece of cover, yelling back towards the clone forces to fire and advance, in line with the orders that the Jedi gave, while he broke out some bacta patches. "Got lucky, doesn't look too bad. I'd wager you'll be back into it without need for the medivac. At least that should be able to wait until after this nut is cracked." With that, Doc would set to work patching up the commando and getting him back into the fighting as fast as he could manage safely.

Rayux saw the jetpack troopers started raining explosives and firing down onto the droids. They then landed behind them catching them between the men Rayux took under his command and the men who took up the job flank the Seps from above. This maneuver sealed the droids fate as nothing more than walking scrap metal waiting for the end to come. "Let's get rid of these tin cans and take this outpost!" A wave of battle cries flooded the air as the immense blaster fire that had been going on had almost doubled. It was pretty much target practice now, but the Sergeant didn't mind.

Taking a knee he began firing his Z-6 minigun sweeping left to right taking out any droids who stood in it's path. Rayux heard comm chatter but couldn't make out anything with the thunder of battle going on in the background. He could however make out the distinct sound of a LAAT somewhere back behind him. Softly saying to himself"Reinforcements, finally. Th will make it much easier."

"Good cause I didn't plan on leaving Jason anytime soon. How's it all looking over there?" Phoenix spoke nodding his head towards the LAAT and the wounded soldiers, "How many are you estimating to make it?"
His questions weren't done in true care for his soldiers but for his report to Jason later.

The shots kept whizzing by, it slowed down as many of the droids were dying but they still flew in masses. "Am I able to get back out there now?" He asked as Doc finished his patching.

Doc sighed quietly after being asked the inevitable question on how many would actually make it, and gave his honest opinion. "With the amount of time its going to take to secure the hold out well enough for the LAAT to medivac those clones, coupled with their injuries taxing them and being balanced against other casualties inbound for the nearest field hospital? Half, at best. At worse, maybe a quarter of them. A lot of their injuries didn't look bad superficially, but caused some serious complications under the skin, as it were. More than I'm equipped to handle here." If he had the tools and means to actually do some serious surgery beyond cutting off things with scalpels, he could have done some more than just a momentary stabilization. The commando's injuries were not bad, superficial mainly, and nothing the bacta patch couldn't put back together. He should consider himself lucky, really.

When asked about if he was good to go, Doc nodded, grabbing his own blaster rifle and slinging the medical supplies back onto his back. "Your good to go, the patch won't be falling off easy, so don't worry about that. Try not to get a blaster bolt to the head though, that is a bit harder to patch back together. Not impossible though." He joined in a volley of return fire, ducking down to scan for additional casualties. Thankfully, they were not as thick now since the help had arrived, but should anyone fall, Doc would be sprinting between volleys to get to them. That was his job, after all, and he had to keep to it until this bloody war was finally done with.
