Elle wandered and paced back and forth behind the counter, waiting for people to walk in. Usually with her luck, there would be a rush of people coming in in about ten minutes, about five minutes before the end of her shift. Staring mindlessly at the clock every other second, she sighed. Another shift another hour of coffee, another end to 5 hours on her feet. Then to go home and study for her classes. Nothing new, nothing interesting, but always busy and absorbed. Which was good, she thought. The bell rang, and she looked up with a smile, pushing her glasses up and flipping her loose blonde strands back. "Hi there, what can I get for you today?"
