The boy fumbled with his slipping glasses then focused on the person who had helped him out. "T-Thanks," he stated through chattering teeth. He soaked to the bone and he had water in his boots as well. "I'm fine," he refused to stand back and watch as his friends dealt with some giant mushroom monster. He ran a hand through his wet hair and caught his breath, the boy had mumbled another thank you, but by the time he had said it, Inadi had run off. Everything happened so fast and soon a battle cry echoed throughout the cave. The giant mushroom monster had half a spear sticking out of it's stomach. Had they actually managed to put it down? A smile made its way to the boy's face, but before he could congratulate everyone that mushroom creature simply regenerated. Inadi attempted to shock it with a bolt of electricity, but wound up yelling out in pain, then things took a turn for the worse and Harper was running towards the creature, his hands clenched around his sword's hilt. More screams filled the room...if he didn't hurry, they'd be witnessing another death. His amulet began to glow and Harper flung his sword at the creature. It sliced through the air like a Frisbee and caught the creature right above it's knee. The sword sliced through then clattered against one of the many blue Crystals. The mushroom fell to the ground with Inadi but raised both hands to shield its eyes, giving the older boy just enough time to get out of the thing's reach. "Electricity..." Harper mumbled. "Ace, Inadi, Leila, what if we get it to fall in the pond!" He yelled before dashing towards his fallen sword. The liquid in his amulet had fallen a little below half now. Meanwhile, the fallen mushroom grabbed at a rock with it's clawed hands, its missing leg regenerating as quickly as its hand had. Harper grabbed his sword's hilt before something grabbed onto his other wrist. The boy was yanked back and flung towards the other side of the chamber. He let out a loud yelp then rolled across the damp floor, skinning a knee and an elbow in the process. The boy screwed his eyes shut, pressed his cheek against the cool mud, and waited for the pain to subside. "Shhhheeeeeeeeeessssss! Krackkkkkshh!" Several vines swung at the Lost Souls as yellow eyes grew even brighter. The mushroom man decided to pick them off one by one instead and for now, he rushed towards the archer with maddening speed.
