Wait, so it allows her to know everything that was ever written down, ever? Wouldn't that make her omniscient, pretty much?
No, it's more like if they look at something and invock the authority they know the "truth" about it. So it's less knowing everything, and more like knowing the "truth". It's conceptually better than Detectives Authority, but I would say Detectives Authority is better, since it gives you Knox. It's a really weird concept because Umineko is really meta with its mechanics. It's the same with the nasu verse; it's half why this discussion has been going on so long. Weird universes can get. . .weird. Well, if Fragarch hit Stein should be alive if Darkside gets him out of there and works on getting him stable and healed up The scenario's are as follows; Fragarch works. Darkside does not help Stein. Stein bleeds out. Fragarch works. Darkside helps Stein. Stein recovers. Fragarch hits wrong heart. Darkside helps stein. Stein recovers. Fragarch hits wrong heart. Darkside does not help Stein. Stein bleeds out. There are three layers of argument to get Fragarch not to work, so I'd say it's likely one of the first two. And it ought to be the second, as long as Darkside gets him out of there. Gilgamesh doesn't seem to want to hurt Stein anymore. I think he originally just wanted him to go make sure Mia was safe, so I doubt he'd attack Darkside and Stein on their way out. --- Also, in regards to the Stein helping Lily, I think Carmilla would've likely let him help her if he directly participated in the game by "betting" on Lily. However sending an ambassador was seen as an insult because it's as if he's insulting Carmilla, the three players, and her game by saying "This isn't even important enough for me to show up for." Of course he was sort of preoccupied fighting Gilgamesh, so he had a reason. But alias, that's that as they say.
