Jak pulled herself off the ground just in time to see Daisuke explode in a puff of pink smoke. Jak sat, open mouthed, as she contemplated how the whole thing had happened. Had Sonya done that? Her answer came quickly, as Daisuke -or maybe his older brother- rose out of the smoke. Flipping pancakes. Sonya quickly explained the Ten-Year Bazooka, but Jak was still dumbfounded. Daisuke wasn't dead, but older. Then Vector appeared from the shadows and Jak snapped back into reality. Her eyes had a hard light to them now, as if she were about to yell at the man. She didn't say anything, however. Didn't Sonya say that Vector had something to do with the fire the other day? Jak tried to remember, but she was currently keeping her rage in check. She bit the inside of her cheek and looked away from Vector. He'd destroyed the festival. Burned everything she she had known for years and years and years to the ground, and on top of that was berating his son. Jak didn't have anything to say to him. So she pulled out her popsicle stick and began chewing on it, trying to keep her mouth busy so she didn't make a scene. Let the anger wash away... let it wash away before I lose my temper Jak knew that she stood as good a chance against Vector as a snowball on asphalt during summer.
