It's a common sight to see people go about their daily lives, going through the same motions day by day all for the pursuit of some goal, dream or simply responsibility. Written and unwritten laws guide the actions of people for better or worse as they work to squeeze together of living or hold onto their way of life. This monotonous ritual has existed for centuries, continues today and will for the foreseeable future. At least that’s what most believed would be the case that is until the ‘Event’ transpired destroying what many considered to be the very fabric society. Your character is one of these people going through the daily motions when they’re lives are suddenly thrown into a whirlwind of chaos created by a fiend that seems to enjoy the suffering of all humankind. The whole world turns against you as you’re forced into a sick fight for survival, it seems certain that you’ll meet your end in a matter of seconds, however in what you assume to be your last moment someone reaches out to you and others in your position offering the slightest bit of hope when all seems lost. This story is about the trials faced by a group of people in the city of Naveria wishing to free themselves of a forced fate and the suffering they will both have to endure and give to endure the ‘Event’ and its twisted purpose. --- I decided to put up this roleplay after sitting on it for a bit, I mentioned it earlier but the roleplay is about a group that has to fight for their lives and survive against near impossible odds. This roleplay has many situations where your character can die and powerful NPC’s divided into Tiers that require teamwork to overcome. A large point of the roleplay is the decisions your characters will have to make, the main purpose is character development and though the story is linear there are plenty of opportunities presented. --- [hider=notes]Decision making is a large part of the roleplay, if for whatever reason you can’t make the decision I will make one or if the time limit expires(5 to7 days) I’ll do that, however in such a case I may choose the one that will hurt the group later so I wouldn’t advise doing this often. Decisions are a large part of the roleplay, your actions will either help or hurt the group possibly both, work together when the decisions come to play, think hard when the decision is yours alone as you’ll effect those around you. I update as new information comes available, I’ll always inform when I add things and where I add it to. You’re not required to check it out but if it’s a character I’d recommended taking a look. “Routes” exist in the roleplay, depending on decisions your character may be exposed to something different than the others, dying even has a personal road so be prepared for that possibility. Magic is active in this roleplay but until the ‘event’ your characters won’t be able to use it. Your character can die so keep that in mind, I have all kinds of tricks and traps hidden in the story so be prepared for that, however do keep in mind there’s nothing wrong with getting killed often, I set this up so there are multiple chances of it happening. I will always give a warning when your character has a chance of dying. I’m already trying to kill you so I want to give you the possibility of surviving. The warning will look like this at the top of my post [b]“ID- John Mcshould dodge”[/b] The ID stands for imminent death and your characters name will follow after it which means one of your decisions may get you killed. At times it may say Everyone which means every character is at risk and that includes my own. I’ll always put it at the top of the post where it can happen so keep a close eye on events or situations when that happens, sometimes I’ll give a subtle hint to what might end your life unless it’s painstakingly obvious then I won’t do anything, this isn’t final destination and there aren’t any death flags (Points for understand the reference) so don’t expect it every time…but if you catch it feel free act accordingly. If you do die I’ll add this in at the end of the following post. [b]Death- John Mcdidn’t dodge[/b] just so there’s no confusion. I am your best friend and worst enemy in this roleplay, as GM I already know the story and what each decision will bring. Sometimes I may lead you down the easy path…other times I’ll lead you down a bad path, I’ll offer my advice (In character of course) but understand that I intended to help and hurt so take it with a spoonful of salt. Death is not the end of your character, should you die I can bring your character back from the dead easily within my next post so keep that in mind, they’ll retain all memories of everything including their death, they’ll be the same person without any changes. Just let me know if you don’t want me to bring them back and I will wait. Just to be clear my character will never make any decisions unless for the reason listed above that would be cheating but they will be involved in the discussion. They also aren’t immortal either; if we fight together and you die then my character can die as well if the enemy is really that strong. I put the possibility of death down with each decision made; they suffer the same chance of death they won’t magically dodge. I take liberties to make sure the information is properly given to you thus I can’t let them die in every situational circumstance but know that my characters lives are also in your hands. When it says [b]ID-Everyone[/b] mine are included in the equation, heck it wouldn't be surprising to see. [b]ID-GM’s awesome character, roleplayers equally awesome character[/b] so keep an eye out as there are ‘routes’ if mine die as well and some are pretty nasty. Respect the tiers, enemies have tiers it’ll be further explained in the ‘Event’ section below but I can’t stress that enough. You are going to encounter some freakishly strong people that will require teamwork to take down. I don’t like Godmodding and I always give a warning what the tier of the person is before hand, if someone hurls something the size of the sun at you I gave fair warning, again I will always warn of death and I won’t make them so overpowered they can’t be beat. The more people you have help take them down the easier it is so use teamwork. Seriously use.your.friends/shields. Leaking is meant to strengthen you character but it last half of a post, the remainder should be the kickback or it fading. This will be described in more detail via the ‘Event’ section below. [/hider] [hider=Rules] Follow the rules, this should go without saying but there in place for a reason. No Godmodding- the characters are mortal in every sense of the word keep this in mind, let them have flaws and faults, takes all kinds to make a person after all. No Metagaming- with the way the roleplay works this can be pretty difficult but I ask that you avoid it as much as possible, especially when it comes to information use. I’d like you to look through your characters eyes at decisions. I’m fine with you recognizing the OOC warning signs, that’s absolutely permitted but it’s meant as just that a warning. Romance is fine but let’s keep things PG-13 in terms of relations between characters, the drill is fade to black or continue it somewhere else the same holds true here. I’m alright with swearing but avoid going overboard. Every other sentence is an example of overboard. Two paragraphs minimum- I ask this so that everyone has something to respond too and to understand your character more, in interactions if it’s a paragraph I’m alright with that and I understand writers block hits occasionally just avoid doing it repetitiously. If this is a problem contact me and we’ll talk about it. Be considerate of your other roleplayers both in the IC and OOC as well, it would be a huge bother if arguments start in the OOC so just be cool. Discussions are fine arguments not so much. Time limit- There is a time limit on this role-play; I’ll wait five days to a week before I move things along. I understand that responsibilities and the such will keep you from posting it’s the same for me but I would like to keep things moving as much as possible. Keep in mind that doesn’t mean you can’t come back in if I move along I’ll even help just know that without informing me of an absence (anything simple is fine, “I can’t post today, got stuff to do etc.”) I’ll move along to keep flow. If for whatever reason you have trouble with posting or have to leave just PM me and let me know. There is a good chance your character will die, an extremely good chance at least once. Because of this I’ll have to autohit your character should that time come, by joining you’re giving me permission to do so in that situation. I will not do it in any other situation but I want that knowledge known to avoid any misunderstanding. If you are easily offended I would recommend not joining, some of the ‘routes’ are dark and I will touch on multiple things in the story. Take note it’s nothing that couldn’t’ be shown on tv in late afternoon when kids are home so dark may be a strong word. Come in with an open mind is what I mean. She has a strong will and prefers actions to words. There seems to be a hint of sadness behind her gaze and her irritability seems to hide another decent side of her. Tier-1 Power/Magic- Power enchantment- Aria builds magic in her body and channels the magic into her fists which she uses to enhance her attacks for extra force. She’s able to enchant any part on her body but due to her power she doesn’t have that much range when it comes to her attacks, she’s able to send out a bursts of energy which gives her a bit more range but she can’t go any further than low-mid. She fights with hand to hand and can’t summon any weapons Bio: Aria moved to Naveria roughly a year ago having lived on her own for the past couple years after losing her aunt to unfortunate circumstances. She decided not to pursue a college degree and went right to work after leaving high school working odd jobs until she found steady employment. She has a personal objective of moving out of the city and into the countryside away from the city and people in general. Aria hasn’t and doesn’t intend to make any friends during her time in Naveria depending only on her own efforts to reach her goal. Personal: Solitude- Aria is intently focused on remaining alone and seeks to get as far away from all human life as possible, she seems to have a problem being near other people thus having her take on the objective of getting as far away from people as possible.
