[IC] The Orphanage for the Unusual

Ashur had finished fixing the heater he was working on earlier. Even had a chance to peek at some of the test results. He contemplated taking the test himself to see what his results would have been but he was sure here was something else in the house that needed to be fixed. He started walking his round, mostly to make a sure everyone was doing alight, and to see if anything else was broken. As he walked the halls he came across Kyo. everything was....wonky. Ashur usually remembered the kids powers but he had spoken with kyo earlier today. well not really spoken but what ever. Ashur closed his eyes and emitted his tk sonar. it acted as a sixth sense in a way that allowed him to reach kyo without accidentally walking out a window. "kyo?" Ashur spoke gently "can you hear me?"

"Up stairs.. Would you like help?" Said Julius with increasing confidence, for Katherin was being freindly unlike other girls he has met.

"That would be great. Without a cane stairs can be a bit if a challenge." Katherin smiled reassuringly.

Katherin smiled a odd smile at Julius, so he obeyed her, held her hand and made his way to the stairs "Ok, left, right, left, right..."

Katherin giggle. " sounds like dance moves more then walking instructions."

Julius chuckled for the first time in a long time, it felt good. "There you go, the stairs are finished."

Julius looked around him then said "We are in a corridor, a long one the floors and walls are wood as well as the doors to the bedrooms, which span the entire length"

Kyo turned toward where he though Ashur was, which could have been in any direction for all he knew. He actually managed to face just a little to the side of where he actually was this time, though. Everything was dark and what seemed to be living shapes seemed to surround him in his vision, but those around him would only see the <still menacing> shadows rather than the full shapes. Clutching at his head, he turned his now-silver irises toward Ashur.

"How many doors on each side. The more information I have the less likely I am to bump into something." Katherin chuckled at his unhelpful description.

Ashurs eyes were closed so he couldnt see, but he could sense the movement. "hey there" He put his hand on the boys shoulder again. "It's going to be all right. its just me and you" to keep it that way Ashur erected teleketic barriers at both ends of the hall. last thing either of them need was a crowd or someone else getting messed up by the illusions. "breath easy, its your power, a part of you. deep breaths"

"8 on each side" he said simply "And be careful the door knobs are pointy"

"No offense but as a guide your not the best. How far apart the doors are?" Katherin asked. She was going to have to ask for a cane. The students her didn't seem to know how to help a blind person any more then her foster parents had. "Are there breakables along the walls?"

"Each door is about a metre apart I suppose" Julius was making a guess he never went to school so he had to make do with 30year old books "Amd no.. No breakable are not on the walls

"Julius, your a sweetheart. I'll find my own way. after all its not like I'll see anything if I walk in on someone. I think I will need a cane to get around." Katherin kisses Julius cheek. She lets go of his hand and places one hand on each wall.

Jason walked up to Liz's room and knocked on the door. "Liz? Are you in there?"

Kyo squeezed his eyes shut, taking a deep, if shaky, breath. He could hear odd, quiet sounds around him, like murmurs, but they began to fade as he started to calm down. After a minute or two, he opened his eyes. His irises switched color with the rest of his eyes, turning back to their normal color slowly. Ashur's figure eventually came into focus and Kyo sat up normally.

Cenhelm was outside in the brisk cold. "Well, here goes nothing" he muttered as he knocked on the door.

There is no sound from within Liz's room other than light snoring.
