Team Celes: Ranulf the Dragonite, Mist the Dratini Team Olivier: Libra the Ralts
@Sketcher@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord Flushing a bit, Olivier looked down at his own Ralts. "Oh dear... it seems I forgot to introduce Libra." At the boy's words, the small Ralts waved at everyone, <It's good to meet everyone! So... you're a Cyndaquil... and you're a Chikorita? Hehe! I think I've maybe seen your species around school maybe once, but... you're both super cute! I'm a Ralts!>
The Zoroark's Trainer pointed out how common the reaction was, and Olivier wilted somewhat, "O-Oh, I see. Yes, he's awesome, but I'm really quite sorry... I'm certain that reaction grows old... quickly."
After giving the two Johto starters a polite bow, Libra waddled over to Devon, <Oh, you've never seen one of my kind before! You can pick me up if you want, I don't mind!>
With furrowed brows, the black translator spoke up, "Libra says that if you want to pick him up, you're more than welcome to."
Now with the attention on Celes, she angrily blew a strand of hair that had fallen in her face before looking to Devon, and then Michael. "...I'm Celes Elwyn." Her gaze now piercing Devon, she continued, "I can pout if I wanna, okay? I know you're fine, but you could've been not fine, and it would've been all my fault." Pulling out a small capsule from her bag, she popped it open, revealing a small Dratini. "That's Mist. Go play with the others... or something..."
The materialized Dratini looked over at Celes, a confused expression across her visage, <Um... are you okay, Celes? You don't really... look good. Are all these people your friends? I can't believe you made friends so quickly! You should be happy about that!>
"That's not why I'm mad. Mist just.. go play with someone, okay?"
<Erm... okay.> Awkwardly, the Dratini hopped off the girl's bench, slithering her way over towards the other Trainers and their Pokémon. <Anyone know why Celes is... um... so angry? It's not really like her.>
Nasir looked down at the Dratini, letting out a soft sigh before speaking, <Ranulf hastily removed her from a dangerous situation, leaving the rest of the group behind. This was not a problem, as Missy here had everything handled, but it's something that still greatly upsets her.>
@Ninian@Light Lord@Sketcher It seemed the topic had quickly grown off of their ordeal from earlier, but was now onto more simple matters. Nasir was still somewhat in the spotlight, but now it seemed Celes was simply not having anything at the moment. Michael quickly noticed that she seemed to converse with the Dratini she had as easily as Devon talked with his Zoroark, but the Dratini couldn't speak human. It was odd, but he'd note it down for later. For the moment, he focused on Celes herself and her sour mood, he could help but try and cheer someone up like that.
"Hey Celes, maybe you're just not seeing the whole picture... I don't even completely know what happened, but I can tell everyone else had a plan that you probably weren't in on..." He said. Probably not the best word choice there, but he told her what he truly thought. He didn't know what else to say.
"You know he's right about that."
The voice emerged from behind them, and in would walk the same denim-clad trainer whom had passed by them earlier. "Sorry to intrude on the conversation, but I saw pretty much everything. Your Dragonite knew what was going on, and he did what he thought was right. It's not something to be mad about, learn from it, just as you learn from everything else in the world." He said. Then he turned to the rest of the group. "Shaymin, did it make it here okay?" He asked.
Lily nodded. "Nurse Joy should be taking care of it right now... who are you anyways?" She asked. "Oh yeah, sorry, didn't have time for introductions back there. My name's Brooks, I'm a trainer from New Amber. I was out in the woods when I heard the battle, I knew something was up." He said. It wasn't the whole truth, but the less they knew right now the better. "Who were those guys? I know I've heard something about them before, but I can't remember..." Brent asked.
"They call themselves Team Royal Skies, some kind of organization working here in Viore. I don't know for what, but I'll tell you this. The guys you got mixed up with, they were just the grunts, pawns if you will." Lily and Brent were a little shocked at this revelation. "They... they were just the grunts?! And they were that strong?!" Said Lily. Brooks nodded. Brent looked at the blue-clad trainer. "How do you know so much about them, anyways?" He asked. "I've had a few run ins with their group before." He answered simply.
While all this was going on, the Pokemon were starting to chat again. <So, Johto Region?> Asked Turtwig. Chikorita nodded, but Cyndaquil shook his head. <I was born here in Viore.> Soon the conversation centered around Mist. <Yeah, I'd be mad too if one of my friends grabbed me and got me out of a probably deadly situation but left my other friends behind...> Said Glameow. <That's almost exactly the situation Michael pulled you out of when he first met you, except you had no friends back then...> A swift scratch to the small grass type's shell got her point across quickly.
Cyndaquil moved over to Mist. <Hey, I bet by morning she'll be her usual happy self, don't worry! I'm Cyndaquil by the way.> Chikorita walked over as well. <Chikorita, nice to finally meet you!> She said.
Wye looked at the returning young man with surprise. As he listened further he got a flustered look on his face. "That sounds like quite the exciting battle down on the route," he muttered to himself. He turned to Brooks and spoke. "How many of these clowns are there anyway? 16? That'd be rich..." He chuckled at the thought of there being eight pawns and eight admins on a board.
He looked over at Blu, who seemed equally frustrated, clinging on to the young trainer's shoulder.

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo@Sketcher The experienced Trainer gave a dismissive wave to Olivier's apology. "Ah it's ok. Not everyday you meet a talking Pokémon right?" A small delicate voice turned Devon's head downwards as he looked upon what appeared to be a waddling white cloth with a spiked green cap. A curious smile came over his face as Nasir's translated the Ralts' tiny words. "Oh, ok. Sure. I've never really seen a Ralts up close."
Crouching down to the ground, the Sinnoh native reached out and put his hands on Libra's waist. Lifting the short Psychic upwards as he stood up and pulled him close to somewhat cradle the mon. "Ok, one thing I always wondered....Where are your eyes man?" The brown haired boy questioned as he peered down at the Ralts. Soon spotting the bottom of the small creatures eyes he grinned. "Oh, there they are. Under your little cap thing. That's really cool little dude. I always thought that Pokémon with natural kinda clothing were neat."
Celes' continued pouting did nothing to raise Devon's spirits, and the teen frowned as she released her snake-like dragon and proceeded to remain angry. Even after the Dratini tried to convince her as well. Aw man, Celes....
Missy looked between both Mist and Nasir, crossing her wispy arms as she looked over at the tiny blonde with a disturbed frown. <I'm certain she'll be in higher spirits in the morning. That encounter was alot to take in for such a young child, and It seems that Ranulf's hasty actions intensified her distress...>
Still cradling Libra while petting the Ralts' green cap lightly, Devon's head turned towards the door when a vaguely familiar voice. It's that guy from earlier!....Damn, I guess he drove them off..... Listening intently to the older Trainer who he now knew was named Brooks, the scarred teenager placed Libra back on the ground near his feet and snorted. Crossing his arms with an annoyed glare. "Great, so they really are another stupid terrorist team....What I don't get is why they keep trying. If it didn't work in one region, it isn't gonna work in any of the other ones."
Sighing, he directed his gaze towards the denim clad man. "How did those other encounters with them play out? They try the same shit? Stealing rare Pokémon?"
The other Pokémon down on the floor appeared to be engaging in a conversation of their own. Missy looked away for a moment, seemingly paused in thought before she lowered herself to the floor and bowed to the other mon. <Hello. Turtwig and Glameow correct? I am Missy. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance>
Team Celes: Ranulf the Dragonite, Mist the Dratini Team Olivier: Libra the Ralts
@Sketcher@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord A melodramatic sigh escaped the small girl's lips as everyone kept trying to cheer her up, even if she didn't want to be cheered up. Actually making eye contact with Michael, she let out a grumbling reply, "Sheesh... you don't know when to quit, huh? I mean... sure, maybe they had a plan, but I had a plan too, and that plan wasn't ditching my friends..." Ignoring the newcomer's words at first, she finally turned towards the man she had seen before. "Just because he knew what was going on, didn't mean he had to... ugh..."
Rubbing her arm against her nose, she made a sniffling noise before continuing, "Whelp, no one's going to let me be miserable so I guess I'll just. I dunno. Stop sulking I guess."
Picking herself up, Celes reluctantly put on a smile. However, instead of socializing, she just stood there awkwardly. Seeing this, her Dratini made her way over, coiling around her leg. <Celes...>
Devon picked up the small Ralts, and Libra let out a happy chirp. <Oh yeah... it's a little hard to see with my eyes like this. When I evolve it's supposed to get better.>
At Brook's introduction, Nasir gave the man a bow, "It's a pleasure, Brooks. You must be quite a skilled Trainer if you were able to deal with our assailants. Which, by the way, I am quite thankful you were able to assist with that."
Olivier would casually chime in, "His Feraligatr is quite strong. Actually, I recorded the entire fight from earlier, if anyone's interested..." After a moment's pause, he asked a question, "So this Team Royal Skies... They sound rather dangerous. I'll avoid any armored men, I suppose. Not that they'd want anything to do with me I'm sure..."
The Pokémon spoke to one another, and at Glameow's words, Mist let out a small sigh, <Ranulf's... kinda just like that. He basically raised Celes, so he's very, very protective of her. In a fatherly way, you know? Anyway, I understand why she's mad. I'd be upset too.> Looking over to the Cyndaquil, and then the Chikorita, she smiled, <Nice to meet you too! I'm Mist. And uh... yeah I know she'll get over it soon enough. She's not usually mad for long, but I guess this' never happened before.>

[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]
@Ninian@Light Lord@Sketcher Brooks scoffed when Wye made a joke about Team Royal Skies. "I wish there were only that many... would make things a lot easier..." He said. Devon immediately considered them a "Terrorist Group". Brooks shook his head. "Terrorists... that's about as wrong as you can actually label them... to be honest, they haven't actually really done anything... well... illegal, so to speak. They've been battling against random trainers, and they've been searching for something... damn if I know. This is the first I've seen them hunting rare Pokemon though..." He said, the hint of worry slightly noticeable in his voice.
"My other encounters with them, eh? No matter what they always pull out, whether I tangle with them or not. I just don't get these guys..." He said, scratching the back of his head. "At this point, I don't think anyone in Viore is safe..." He finished, pulling up a chair from a nearby table and sitting down.
Lily was greatly concerned. "So... do you think they'll come back for Shaymin?" Brooks shook his head. "Surprisingly no. If they stick to their usual patterns, they're probably on to some other kind of operation or whatever. I think you'll be good, unless Shaymin is that high priority of a target for them. Which... considering how quickly they took off earlier, isn't that important to them." Lily breathed a sigh of relief at this news.
Brent had remained rather calm the whole time. This Brooks guy seemed to know a lot about the goings on here in Viore, maybe even as much as Professor Maple. He leaned over to Lily and whispered. "Maybe you could ask him about that thing you saw on your hand, he might know something..." Lily gave him an "Are You Crazy" look. "With... all them here?" She replied in a hushed voice, pointing to the three trainers who had joined them. Brent merely shrugged.
Michael realized he may have been poking around with something that shouldn't be poked. Celes, as she named herself, was a very odd girl. He suddenly had a slight look of remorse on his face. "S-sorry if I kept poking... I just wanted to help a little that's all..." He said, looking down to his feet.
Turtwig kept looking back at the now faint scratch marks on his back, talking back. <Nice to meet you too...> He said. Glameow slightly bowed, staying silent. She still wasn't sure about these new people and Pokemon yet.
Shock the Ampharos, Cyan the Marill, Quill the Monferno, Missy the Mismagius, Nasir the Zoroark [Route 701 - Pokémon Center]
@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo@Sketcher Devon narrowed his eyes at Brooks when he explained the trends of 'Team Royal Skies' activities, the brunet teen's face scrunching a bit. "I don't think so either. They're bad news alright. And 'haven't done anything illegal' huh? What do you call them assaulting a group of Trainers and then commanding their Pokémon to have 'no mercy' then? What happened to us wasn't a battle dude. It was freaking self defence. If we didn't fight back or get out when we did, we might not have made it."
Raising his arms in the air and stretching out, Devon yawned. "Well, whatever those creeps are up to, I hope the cops bust down their doors and toss them in the slammer soon. I came to Viore to have fun, not tango with some crappy cosplayers and their crazy Pokémon. But if it comes down to it, and we gotta fight these guys, we won't back down."
The teen's bark colored gaze shifted over to Brooks once again. "Oh, yeah, I never got to ask this Brooks. You were looking for someone to battle outside of the Center back in New Amber. I kinda noped out of there cause of some bad vibes I got from this one guy I was talking to, but if you're still up for one I'm game. Maybe we can do that tomorrow?"
Team Celes: Ranulf the Dragonite, Mist the Dratini Team Olivier: Libra the Ralts
@Sketcher@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord Brooks' words worried Nasir quite a bit. His Trainer essentially said what was also on his mind, but he felt he should clarify, "I agree with Devon. It was not a Pokémon Battle, it was an all out fight to the death. I am certain they would have not batted an eye if they killed myself or one of my companions. Or even every last one of us." Crossing his arms, he growled softly, "You have my most sincerest apologies, Brook, but if that is not illegal, then I cannot say I know what is."
Hearing the words from both Devon and Nasir, Olivier simply stared at the Zoroark before questioning, "W-Wait... They... Team Royal Skies attempted to kill you?"
Frowning, Celes spoke up in an aggravated tone, "Of course they did, why do you think I'm so upset!?"
Snaking around the girl's leg, the small Dratini began to climb her Trainer. <W-What, they tried to kill you?!>
"That's what I just said!"
Finally, the large Zoroark let out a drawn-out sigh, "They were not trying to kill us. That said, I do not think our deaths would have bothered them, had they been able to carry out their goal."

[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]
@Ninian@Light Lord@Sketcher Brooks looked over to the Zoroark. "Your Zoroark is correct. They wouldn't kill you, even bad guys have codes that they live by. Plus... I'd love to see one of them try and sleep at night knowing they just flat up murdered a bunch of kids." He looked back to Devon. "You say this like you've encountered other organizations before. Then you should know it's all about the fear, the intimidation factor. If they can scare you into doing what they want instead of fighting, or even by fighting, it's an easy tactic to use. And by the sounds of you all, it worked... to an extent."
Lily and Brent nodded. "What Devon said, though. They better get what's coming to them!" Said Lily, quite furious about the whole event now. Brent pulled her shoulder back down into her seat. "Seriously, just ask him. It won't hurt if a few people know." He said, Lily looking down unsuredly. Michael looked over after hearing this. "Know what?" He asked.
While Lily thought about whether or not to ask, Brooks kept talking with Devon. "Battle, huh. Hmm..." He looked at the Zoroark standing with him. Just at first looks he could tell the Zoroark was quite skilled. The look in his eyes, his stature, his composure, impressive. However... still not a match for Feraligatr, but then again, it had been a while since he'd fought with one of his other Pokemon in a casual battle, he would have to think on this. "Sure, I'll battle ya. Let's save that till morning, though." He said.
Nurse Joy finally emerged from the back rooms. "Nurse Joy? How's Shaymin doing?" Asked Lily as she turned to look at the Pink Clad Nurse. "Shaymin will easily recover, a couple of bruises left, but after a good nights sleep she'll be fine." She responded. Lily smiled, turning to her friends for a moment, then stood up. "Would it be okay if I... saw Shaymin?" She asked. "Of course. I'd be quiet though, she's fast asleep now." Lily nodded. "I'll be back." She said, heading towards the back rooms with Chikorita on her heels. Brooks kept his eye on her for a bit, he had a feeling there was something up about the situation, something he didn't know yet.

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo@Sketcher The teenager nodded putting his hands behind his head as he gave Brooks a stupid smirk. "Cool, I'll be looking forward to it man." With Lily departing, and a sort of off tone hanging in the room due to the talk of the threatening organization of Team Royal Skies, Devon looked around at everyone gathered as he attempted to think of something else to talk about. His gaze soon landed on the mostly quiet Trainer of group. The black haired young adult of the group had a Totodile on his shoulder, a Pokémon that Devon was all too familiar with. Grinning the teen slightly turned towards Wye. "So, Wye right? What's your story? Did you blow in from Johto too? I'm probably totally wrong, but your Totodile's just giving me clues. I always thought they were the coolest Johto starter."
Wye looked at Devon's Zoroark with glimmering eyes, wondering how the battle would go down between the young trainer and Brooks.
"Hm? Oh! I'm actually from Viore - from Dracotia Village," he said. "Though I spent a good part of the last decade abroad." He scratched under Blu's chin, looking over to the Totodile. "She's my dad's Feraligatr's child. He put her under my care so that I could help "help them with some research" - though at first, I suspect it was just so I could get a chance to go on a journey." He looked over at Brooks. "That's actually why I try to find strong trainers and pokemon to battle," he said, pulling out the recorder he had earlier, the keystone covered and out of sight. "I battled Brooks earlier too, so that was quite helpful. That's actually why I'm doing the Pokemon League challenge, even though I'm starting half-fresh for this journey. Most of my pokemon are back home with my parents, but I didn't want to leave some of them behind. Like little Blu over here."
Team Celes: Ranulf the Dragonite, Mist the Dratini Team Olivier: Libra the Ralts
@Sketcher@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord Celes was the first to reply to Wye when he mentioned coming from Dracotia Village. "From the name, it sounds like it's a city of Dragon-type Pokémon..." With those distant words said, she went back to just simply standing around and existing.
Olivier looked over Wye with slightly furrowed brows. "Ah, that makes perfect sense. So... is that device something you use to analyze battles, then? Fascinating..." Trailing off, a smile crossed his lips, "Well, anyway, Blu is quite cute, wouldn't you say Libra?"
The small Ralts near Devon's feet chirped happily, <Blu, was it? We should be friends!> Looking at all the gathered Pokémon, a smile crossed Libra's lips, <We should all be friends!>
Wye turned to Celes and nodded. "It is," he said. "That's actually where the Dragon Type gym is. And...." He took one of the pokeballs from his belt and tossed it. "Walden here is actually from there. I met him when I returned to my home recently."
Blu looked down at the other pokemon with a bit of skepticism. After a few moments of thought, she decided to jump down. <Are your trainers going to go for Viore's League as well?>
<It'll be my first time battling a gym once we find one. I can't wait!>
Looking over at the two pokemon making their usual noises, Wye gave a light sigh, smiling. "Blu has been with me for quite some time. Even though she hasn't evolved yet, she can give many evolved pokemon a run for their money. I'd want to see her grow up but she seems persistent not to."
Jinx almost jumped into the air at the question-he clearly hadn’t been expecting it. “Oh. Uh. No. Grew up in Goldenrod. Learned uh.”
The thief waved his hand at his body, and then at the airport far behind him. “Well. All of this there.”
Then there was a pause. That seemed to drag on for awhile. “So. A professor. That’s…” Jinx paused. “I actually have no idea what they do actually.” Even to him, this small talk turning painfully awkward.
Jinx sucked in a breathe. “Right. I’ll just cut to it then. I’m new to the region….and uh, right now, I don’t have much to do. And I’ve sorta filled my ‘flip the bird to authority’ quota for the day-thanks for that by the way!” Cue flirty wink number forty-six. “....but you’re currently high as a kite, there’s a pretty good chance that-even if there isn’t any long term trouble like you said, that the mooks here won’t get that memo for awhile.”
“...So.” Jinx paused again. “I could probably move faster alone.” For some reason though, the notion seemed singularly unattractive. “But I figure you didn’t have to help me out in the airport. You pretty much coulda just left the door alone and waited for security. Not like it was you they wanted.”
Pause.
“...It’s been awhile since someone stuck their neck out for me. And I’m in the habit of encouraging **** like that. If you’ll have me, I’d be fine staying with you on the road until you’re all healed up. Just think of me as your lab assistant. Except fun. And illegal. Which is to say fun.”

@Ophidian Even with all of the pauses, everything Jinx had been saying seemed like it was said lightning fast to the enfeebled professor. That said, it took a while for his brain to process everything, but he did somehow manage to do so. Finally, the important pieces of information solidified in his mind. This was something he could actually reply to.
"Goldenrod..." He'd trail off, "...yes, I'd... like... assistant. Have you... seen... Harrison... Jones?" And no, this is totally not a bad Indiana Jones reference—wait. "...um... archaeology..." Furrowing his brows, it was clear the dark-haired professor was getting frustrated with his inability to string together proper sentences, or piece together his thoughts. "D-Damn..." An unusually colorful word for him, in an unusually colorful situation. "How... sober? Can't... think..."
@Ninian@Light Lord@Sketcher Brooks smiled when he heard of the Dracotia Gym. "Ah, that takes me back... I remember when I took on the Dracotia Gym Leader, now he... he was a man who really understood his Pokemon. I heard that he stepped down as Gym Leader, though, and I'm not actually sure who's taken over as leader yet..." He said, scratching his chin.
Brent looked over at Wye. "Well, my brother said it's not unnatural for Pokemon to want to get stronger as themselves, it's just Pokemon preference I guess." He said. Michael nodded. "Right, but a lot of times they pick up their feelings from their trainers too. That's what they said in Trainers School at least."
Brooks looked back towards the back room where Lily had gone, honestly he wanted to see how Shaymin was doing himself, and he also wanted to know what Lily might be hiding from everyone. "I'm gonna go see how Shaymin is doing too, I'll be back." He said, dismissing himself as he headed back.
The Pokemon continued their chatting. <Well... even though we just met... sure, why not? It's good to have friends, at least that's what everyone says.> Said Cyndaquil. Glameow looked over to the Gabite. <First Gym Battle? Forgive me for judging a book by its cover, but you seem to have quite a few battles under your belt, I would have expected at least one to be an official Gym Match.> She responded, Turtwig rolling his eyes. <In english, you sure look like you've been in gym battles before...> Another swift strike from the Glameow and the Turtwig quickly shut his mouth.

[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]
She sat in the recovery room that Shaymin was in, looking over at the small Pokemon. "What really happened though..." She said out loud as she sat, thinking over and over the events that played out. "Now that is the real question, isn't it?" Asked Brooks as he entered the room and sat next to her. "Brooks... I was just... oh, I don't even know anymore, today has just been so weird for me in so many ways..." Brooks nodded. "So, what did happen? I'd like to know, If you'd want to tell me."
Lily thought for a minute. "Maybe... I guess it wouldn't hurt for someone else to know..." She said, and then would recount her tale from before. Brooks took in every detail, never a look of skepticism on his face. As she concluded, he nodded. "I think I know what happened to you, and I believe you when you say that happened." He said, opening his bag and bringing out a large book. "These are some of Viore's Ancient Legends, the only ones so far to have been translated from the ancient script. This is the one I want you to look at, it's called 'The Dragon King and the Ten Heroes'." He opened the book to where the story started.
The Dragon King and the Ten Heroes
Translated from Viore's Ancient Script by Professor Edward Maple
It was a time of conflict. Warring kingdoms battled for absolute control of the land. The magical creatures we once referred to as gods were now used to fight battles for the ones that now control them. One King refused to fight, knowing that war would destroy everyone and everything. He desperately sought for a way to end the conflict once and for all.
He consulted a Wise Man, who told him of the powerful Dragon that held the power to end the strife and conflict. The King, unknowing of what truly awaited him, set off on a quest to find this Dragon. After many weeks, he stood at the base of a massive mountain. With great determination he climbed the mountain to its peak, where he met the great Dragon. He begged the Dragon to aid him, to end the war once and for all.
The dragon granted his request, and in a single day, every war raging across the land was ended. The King, who had summoned the great Dragon, now stood as the most powerful king in the land, the true ruler of the land. He asked the great Dragon once more if he would help him keep peace and security in the land, and the Dragon agreed.
Many seasons passed, and the King grew old and gray. Soon the time came for him to pass on into a new life. Before this, he left control of his kingdom to his Son, and the Dragon pledged to help him achieve what his father had. However, the Son held great darkness in his heart. After taking power, the power he now held quickly corrupted him. He became cruel, harsh, and unjust. He turned the Dragon into his slave, and forced him to punish any who stood in his way.
No one could stand against such power, they thought. And for many seasons, this was the case. Soon though, the Wise Man who had told the King about the Dragon, gathered a group of seemingly random people, and imbued them with the marks of magical creatures. He then sent them out on a quest to find the magical creature that would respond to their mark.
And so they did. After a season had passed, all had returned with the creature the mark responded to. Now, the Wise Man told them they must fight the new King, and free the great Dragon from his control. Many thought they were crazy, but soon they came into battle against him. The castle he resided in was almost completely destroyed in the battle. When the dust cleared and the last of the rubble fell, the new King was at his knees. Revoked of his power and stripped of his title, he was banished to the unknown reaches of the world as punishment for his crimes.
After this, the ones who defeated him became known as the Guardians. They eventually disappeared, leaving but one word for all of history. "Should this power be needed again, a new generation of Guardians will be chosen by powers barely fathomable to us. They will carry on the legacy, the hope, and future of this land!"
Lily read in amazement and awe as the tale recounted a past long forgotten. "So... I'm like... one of these new guardians?" She asked, looking over to Brooks, who would somewhat nod. "Most likely. It's been hundreds of years since those events transpired, and never before have new guardians been chosen. Most forgot about the truth of the legend, and it turned into bedtime stories for kids." Lily looked over to him. "And how do you know it's true?" Brooks just closed his eyes and smiled. "When you've traveled around as long as I have, you pick up a thing or two..." He replied simply.
Jinx nodded, taking in the sight of the, evidently, drugged to the gills professor. He didn’t *think* he’d used that much of a dose. He’d been able to hobble out of the caper he’d...last used them in... (were there really that many? Wow.) just fine. So.
Some of it had to be mental.
Being an educated sort, he knew a shock to the system miiiiight just shake the good professor out of it.
Plus it might be fun.
It should be mentioned at this point that Jinx did not have a medical degree was not be trusted around medical equipment more advanced than first-aid kit.
Slowly, Jinx leaned forwards, just a bit. “Well. I might know a way to clear your head. If you’re interested.”

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo@Sketcher The crimson hoodied teen crossed his arms and pursed his lips and nodded as Wye explained the goal of his journey. "So you record battles for your parents research. That's cool. Sometimes I record some of my Monferno's battles and send em to my buddy Louis to help him with doing Fire moves."
The seasoned older Trainer then began to answer Celes' question about his home town, and proved it's affinity for Dragon-type's by tossing out a Pokémon that caused Devon to freeze up for a few seconds. Staring at Walden for a few awkward moments, the scarred Trainer's gaze travelled down to his sleeved right forearm. Gripping it in his left hand and rubbing it. "Oh, uh, hi Walden. I haven't seen a Gabite in a super long time..."
Brooks' off handed comment of having battled the apparent Dragon-type Gym caused Devon's gaze to shift over for a moment to rest on him. No surprise there...He's got a Feraligatr, so he must be pretty experienced already....Plus he fought off those freaky knights....Brooks kinda reminds me of Jake....I wonder what a battle between both of their Feraligatrs would be like....Probably awesome.
Wye's observations on his Totodile and both Brent and Michael's comments caused Devon to raise a hand and add his two cents. "I'm actually friends with Professor Rowan, from Sinnoh. According to him, evolution isn't a tell tale sign of a Pokémon's age or power. I'm sure Blu is probably a great ass kicker even though she's still a Totodile. My Marill Cyan is only second stage and she's pretty tough." A smile washed over the brown eyed boy's face as he put his arms behind his head. "I like what your brother said Brent. It's their choice for what way they wanna get stronger. Evolution, training, I'm cool with whatever the Pokémon wants."
The Pokémon in the room took to their own conversation. And although she was a bit hesitant at first, Missy soon floated down near the floor to join the smaller Pokémon with a somewhat wondering stare. <I don't know about him going for the Pokémon League Tournament of this region, but to answer your question Blu, yes. Devon and our team will be attempting to clear as many of Viore's Gym's as we can in our short few weeks that we will be staying here.>
The Mismagius clasped her arm ribbons near her 'stomach' and gave a polite bow to the small crocodile. <I wish you luck in your own future Gym challenges. Both you and Walden.> Raising herself back up straight, she smiled at the shark-like mon. <I don't think it's impossible for this to be his first Gym challenge. It was quite sometime before I ever found myself inside one for the first time.>
Team Celes: Ranulf the Dragonite, Mist the Dratini Team Olivier: Libra the Ralts
@Sketcher@Shiny Keldeo@Light Lord While all the humans spoke to each other, Libra and Mist decided to answer Blu's question. First, the small Ralts replied. <I... don't think we're going to take on the League. Usually those journeys take longer, right? We're just here for credit hours.> Mist chirped up as well, <If I get strong, I'm telling Celes we have to challenge the League! We're not on any time restrictions, just um... our goal is for me to become strong enough to evolve into a Dragonite!>
Finally, Libra, tilted his head, looking over the Gabite, <So... you've never challenged a Gym before? Well... you look so strong, I bet it'll be easy for you!> The Ralts was also happy to hear that everyone seemingly agreed to be his friend.
At Brent's words regarding a Pokémon's will to grow stronger, the Zoroark felt he should give the gathered Trainers his opinion. "You are correct... Michael correct? As are you, Brent. It... obviously varies from each individual, but if you share a deep bond with your Pokémon, it is very likely your feelings mirror theirs. I suppose the... best example would be myself." Flashing a small smile to Devon he continued, "For example, Devon is not my original Trainer. With that said, my thoughts and feelings do not often mirror his, instead they align with my former Trainer. Thankfully, this has not caused... too many conflicts. That said, I am beginning to understand Devon much better, and I do believe we share similar goals. Does that sum that up...?"
With that said, the Zoroark noted his Trainer's feelings regarding the Gabite in the room. A soft sigh escaped his maw. I apologize that I met you so late...
Walden smiled with pride as he listened to the other pokemon. <Hehe. Thanks for the support,> he said to the Mismagius before turning to the Zoroark. <It's a pleasure to meet you!>
"We'll see how Blu develops," Wye said, rubbing the back of his head. He turned to his pokemon and yawned. "Hm... It's best if we get an early start tomorrow. Come on guys," he said. Walden made a sound enthusiastically and Blu climbed up Wye's shoulder. "See you guys tomorrow," he said to the group. "Good night!" He left the scene to one of the rooms reserved for travelling trainers.
