I don't see any objections to Orchid's plan. You'll have to excuse an unfortunate situation however, for tomorrow has vanished from all my schedules but work. I've exams to check, so it will be until Friday that I'll provide you with what lays behind the path to the left.

Brannor will only offer the added suggestion that everyone cover their mouths with a cloth or material. In so doing, he we pour some water from his eaterskin on to his cloak and cover his face with it, @Hekazu. The hope is, is that if the mushrooms are poisonous from their spores, that it might help to protect them from it. We will of course see if that aids at all or if there was no threat at all but no, nothing else to add here.

I apologize for my complete absence and any inconvenience to the campaign that it caused, to the players or our beloved DM.

Last week was the first time in a long time, work and life has been more predictable and easier to bear.

For when we progress through, Brannor's inexperience of being in a cave and dealing with bats probably does not go well, as he makes a 7 for his Stealth (Dexterity) check, 10 on the Disadvantage roll. That in mind, unless anyone posts by Christmas Day, I will have a post up and likely annoying said bats with our huntsman, @Hekazu.

Failure noted. Bats are bothered, but not immediately on the move.

Ugh, for a huntress Kyra didn't do too well at being stealthy. 11. Also sorry for the long absence, the holidays have been hell for me.

Torus scores an 8 for his roll. I'll leave the end result to the reveal of the results of Parum and Orchid.

... I think at this point we should just prepare for combat. I got an 8.

Sorry for a lack of replies, my past few days have been spent celebrating the holidays with my family. I’ll try to have a post up tonight for Parum and her stealth check.

Stirges? Winged kobolds were bad enough but these are just unpleasant. Interesting to see them in action this edition however, now on to making sure they do not stay relevant for long!

Does there appear to be any risk of accidentally striking an ally when targeting a stirge and potentially failing, @Hekazu? Or does it seem safe enough to attack them without invoking any danger to the would-be aided companion?

There is no sort of damage transfer effect on the stirges. We shall assume attacks are made cautiously enough to rather go wide than hit an ally @The Harbinger of Ferocity. If the designers had intended there to be a significant risk, I reckon they would have mentioned that in the monster stat block.

I am half tempted to say that a critical failure might cause such an effect, but my common sense disagrees. Thus, nothing special apart from their automatic hit on survival to next turn.

Brannor misses @The Harbinger of Ferocity.

It is now Parum's turn @Ryonara.

I had assumed as much although it is always worth asking if it did hit, @Hekazu. At least now we know their Armor Class is above 9, revolutionary, I know. I am just more thankful that failed hits and fumbled attacks will not inadvertently strike allies. Now that would really have made them a pain.

Parum manages to slay her target, freeing her of the threat of continual damage @Ryonara.

It is now the enemies turn, which I will get to in a few hours.
