Choose Wisely

Dragons and humans work together after many years of battling and fighting. This new generation was never a part of those battles and doesn't understand how people could have wanted to kill the beautiful creatures. Now these young adults get to try for the dragon riders school and possible check for their egg. If they touch one and it begins to crack then they know they've found their dragon, not all eggs crack when they're first touched. In fact some came take years to find the right rider and riders can be in training for quite a while before they get their dragon. Of course there are still some who believe only a few riders should be chosen and there shouldn't be a school set up for them to find their dragons. They like to intercept the eggs and try to steal them from the school. Which side would you choose?

This is loosely based off of Eragon and How to Train your Dragon. I'm honestly not an expert on either of those. I'm looking for someone to co-gm with me and help me come up with ideas for things to happen.

My guess would be the ooc gets noticed but if you want it small I would get a select few then post it in the ooc

This has piqued my interest. I used to watch HTTYD a lot as a kid, and ended up talking about dragons in my sleep. Never really got into Eragon, but I read the book.

So, yes, colour me interested.

@aeuternus Awesome! I've honestly never read Eragon which is why it will be seriously loosely based off that. I'll explain stuff better in the ooc when I know people are interested!

Also, does anyone have any better name ideas? Cause I'm not the biggest fan of this one, but I couldn't come up with anything different.

Well, a name could be based on the plot line, or even just the name of the Academy.

I kinda want to go with some of the major Eragon themes (I think that's where they've come from) including how the dragons choose riders and that characters have some limited magic. As long as everyone is in to that. I'm working on an OOC right now actually.

I don't even have a name for the academy yet.

Thank you a bunch! It was my understanding that they could do some magic once they found their dragons, right? Also, in the books was it common for them to carry any weapons while they were flying? You probably didn't expect me to ask you tons of questions right after you said you could help, but...

Glad to help!! Yes they could do magic but they had to do it a different language. I think of was elvish. I just rember the word for fire was Brisingr. Yes it was very common. Most of the riders made their own swords and used those because riders were taught how to help use the sword
