Tis fine. I'm behind on a couple myself, but I can't bring forth the will to post just yet. This is an interesting experience, had to do my homework on gladiators, never actually RPed one before.

It's an expression. I did some research so I wouldn't go into the RP with a dumb grin on my face. Nah, my history classes haven't even mentioned Rome. Not since the seventh grade.

Laughs... I'm so sorry. I'm tired and misread your last comment. You did your homework... ahh yes, I have to as well sometimes. Seeing that I'm simply a loving female in the IC, no homework needed, though I might step up as an NPC gladiator and try to whoop our boys arse.

I'd love to take a class on all this jazz, but I'm past all that now.

I've been past it for about two years now. Wasn't an option, simply couldn't do it, despite how much I really love all of the ancient civilizations. I was curious on that, if you'd actually control the warrior or if I would. And that NPC gladiator needs to get his ass kicked. Not killed though, that would be expensive. Our funds don't cover that.

Totally up to you. If you want to control the NPC warrior, feel free. If you want me to, I'm happy to. We can share NPCs throughout the story as well.

Killing him is smart - lifts your guy up to another level and don't worry about the funds. I think you forget to quickly who he belongs to...

Actually, that'd be historically inaccurate, to kill a gladiator. Untrained slaves were slaughtered by the masses. Gladiators though? Too much time and money goes into their training to have them killed. It was a VERY rare occurrence. I'd like you have you control the NPC warriors though, fighting myself isn't really... Fun, you know?

I'm happy to play them. So what did two gladiators do?? Just beat the shit outta each other and call it a draw?

Movies were false. They fought until one forced the other to surrender, and the fight itself was enough for the peasants. Usually it was them who decided whether or not he lived, and generally they let him live. IF they hated him, then it went up to the emperor or whoever else decided it, whether he died. Just because you didn't die doesn't mean you can't lose. If I throw the guy to the ground and point a sword at his neck and he can't fight back, I've won.

You will, if I get to fight legit slaves. Gladiator vs Slaves, the blood and gore was the attraction. Gladiator vs Gladiator, the fight itself was the attraction. Besides, we could do some changes, it's not like we're forced to be 100% accurate.

This is true. We can play it by ear. The fight tomorrow IC will be Gladiator to Gladiator, so play as you will.

We'll need to talk plot "next" plot point after the fight. I'd assume they will speak a bit more in this current scene and then rest. Tomorrow IC is the fight and perhaps her helping mend him after that, but we need to think through what else we'd each like to see before moving to the center of the stage where he is removed from her.

I want to post but I'm so fucking tired.
