I'm using my most recent post as an opportunity to set up Ares as a massive threat to Lost Haven. If the world's heroes wish to defeat this menace, they may need to ASSEMBLE a LEAGUE to AVENGE those Ares has wrong, and bring JUSTICE back to Lost Haven.

Hm...well, Diomedes and Athena were able to beat Ares in the Iliad. And Athena has been pretty active in this RP. ;)

Also, did you discuss this with NMS first? While I bet it is okay, it is usually better to consult with people before you do stuff like this to their characters.

...
Why didn't I think about that? Err. Sorry about that, boss man. I can totally change it if you're not completely cool with a forced vacation to China.
I'm gonna have to take an official leave for now. I just have too much of a workload to continue, I'm just drained right now. If things do clam down I'll be back but it doesn't look like that will be anytime soon.

It happens. You'll have a spot when you have the time
I'll try to get my post up tomorrow. I started it, but I just a little tired right now. Threw up a little teaser (although its more like how at the end of the recent Marvel movies it says "X hero will be back").
Currently been looked over by NMS and Dedonus, which there was no or a few suggestions, but I figured putting Racheli up might give folks ideas and more which might allow her to get tied into other arc/stories if possible. Besides just her origin arc. I really would like her to meet as many PCs as she can while she's in the rp, even if its not in conflict. Also, double checking with a fellow friend over a few things before I enter her IC officially.
@Dedonus, checked with NMS over the bartender job at the Hub, and it was a green light for that.
Now for the PC...
Character you have created: Racheli Lorna Desdemona
Alias: Rach, nick by her friends
Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): indianred
Character Alignment: Walking the Line
Identity: N/A, future- Unknown
Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations):
Racheli is an independent and strong individual, mainly in personality. To those who have managed to get by her defenses and befriend her, she's a deeply loyal and protective friend who will risk life and limb for their safety. Though helping them achieve their goals is another matter altogether because if she doesn't like something, she won't hesitate to let you know in a blunt and often thickly sarcastic way. Rarely does she ever pull punches to spare someone's feelings when it comes to something completely stupid. Most believe she is a short tempered woman, who hates receiving charity. Often she'll reply to these with sour looks and scoffing off the attempts as they are given. Granted when it comes to solid logic she can't argue with, Racheli is known to yield some times but it doesn't mean she's happy about. So expect her sore loser to show.
To strangers and acquaintances, she some times comes off as cold and closed to becoming friends at first. While she will act like a human being and interact when talked to, don't expect to gain any personal information about her situation or thoughts. Trust is difficult to earn though just words.
Just like with many of her habits, she acts first and thinks about the consequences later. This traits worsens when her temper is flared. She never thinks about what comes out of her mouth save that it might end up hurting the one they are targeted at. Once it is all said and done, she some times realizes too late she had crossed a line. Despite her flaws, she does have some positive aspects to her personality besides her protective nature to her friends. Though she tries to hide it, Racheli does have strong sense of justice which is why she tries not to think too hard about others problems. The more she knows, the easier it is to get personally involved and that can cause problems for her.
Motivation/Fear
She is driven to never to become like her father, fearing that once she finally takes a life then the desire would become addictive and impossible to stop. Like a drug addict hooked on the strongest drugs. She lacks trust she will never fall that far and is continually on alert, holding back her aggression until it can be released in a better way. Some times, if it's bottled up too long, she becomes irritable. It doesn't help she's plagued by nightmares and every time she manages to draw blood, her heart races and cries for more. The high it causes is rather difficult to ignore though she stubbornly refuses to yield to it...
Uniform/costume:
Ends up with this at some point after her original Arc, haven't figured out quite how but I'm open for ideas and more.
The unseen part is black, tight fitting pants and combat boots with a steel toe end and bottom to give her kicks some punch. Rach's costume is based and chosen more for function rather than being flashy, attention seeking or intimidating to those who notice her. In fact she rather they forget she encountered them at all as too much news could result in trouble with the wrong people. Primary colors are black and silver gray, the latter from her ability to influence metals and change their properties. Her mask isn't completely solid as it's made from metal taken from the two bike chain bracelets on her wrist, which thanks to using her metal manipulation prevents its removal or destruction, always hiding her identity.
Equipment:
Bust
Head/face: Metal from her necklace and formed into a mask;
Neck: Choke studded necklace, nothing but leather after applying mask, thicker than an inch;
Shoulders: Black, hooded small jacket with long sleeves;
Chest: Thin metal sheets, a centimeter in thickness that covers her chest and navel.
Arms
Upper arms: None
Forearms: None
Wrists: R & L- two bike chain bracelets on each wrist.
Lower Half
Waist/Hips: BR Pocket- bunch of change ranging from pennies to quarters, including a pocket knife.
Legs: Thin, black pants made from abrasion resistant material made to prevent slices from knives and other bladed weapons.
Slice,
Feet: R&L- metal plating on bottom and steel toe boots
Origin Info/Details: Racheli's Medical and Back ground
Medical Profile Overview
Race-Caucasian Sex- female Age- 28 years Eye color- Green Blood type- AB+ Built- Lean and muscular. Height- 5'9” Weight- 159 lbs. Status: Unknowingly she's infected by some alien microscopic organism which is slowly altering her DNA. Earlier in the arc, it's killing her like others but at some point her brain pattern shifts and reverses the process. Racheli is currently, unknown to those who first discovered it, is the only survivor who has properly adapted as a host.
Symptoms
Stage one~ 5 hours after activation.
Slight hue change in her blood coloring making it a darker red but other than that, nothing different.
Minor, brief and sporadic headaches followed by muscle soreness during too much movement.
Slight discomfort in overly warm temperatures above 60 degrees and the higher the difference, the greater the discomfort. At temperatures ranging above the 100s, she is at risk of passing out if she spends longer than half an hour within the area.
Mucus has built up in her chest, causing her to make rattling coughs and have trouble breathing clear as if she has a chest cold. Drugs are only mildly effective and quickly are pushed through her immune system within an hour to two, despite the label claimed relief time.
Stage Two~ 8 hours after activation
In addition to the more extreme color change, her body temperature has dropped and is now several degrees colder.
The headaches are now constant and longer, feeling like a hammer is striking her between the eyes. Pain shifted and seem to needle her joints, bones and tendons relentlessly even when she is completely still. This makes movements difficult but not impossible.
She can no longer tolerate any temperature above 40 degrees and anything above 50 will put her into a sweat then pass out, as if she had heat stroke. This usually occurs after less than half an hour within it.
Her coughs are rougher and currently been hacking up blood as well each time. A little bit at first but it becomes progressively worse, staining her lips and chin toward the ending stages.
Stage Three (Final)~ 9 hours after activation- This stage is often fatal for the victim as no one has survived it.
Almost half her normal temperature, her blood, once a crimson red, has quickly turned completely black. In addition to the discoloration, it's also thicker and cold to the touch, like touching ice. The longer it is in contact with flesh, the warmer it becomes yet it will not change its color.
The pain has spread, setting every nerve and part of her on fire. It feels like every molecular inside her body is breaking apart at the lowest, most basis level which in truth... it is.
Black blood starts to leak from her eyes, mouth, and ears.
Unable to hold any liquids or food within her body for long periods of time.
Skin has become pale and voided of any color, shaking and stiff.
Exposure to heat or warm temperatures above freezing will cause her body to burn, patches of flesh darkening and appearing to be burning away from the inside out.
After surviving these symptoms, Racheli's vital signs will return to normal but some traits will remain.
~ Black blood which is cold to the touch and slightly thicker than normal ~Lower body temperature of 75F/24C (estimated up) ~Sensitive to temperatures above 98F/37C (estimated up)
Bio
Birthplace- Spring Hill, IN Residence/Current Location- View Heights Apartment in Lost Haven, Maine Occupation- Bartender (currently looking for new employment)/part time artist Father- Micheal Garth (arrested and supposedly put to death) Mother- Jackie Desdemona (deceased, murdered) Aunt- Ruth Garth (deceased recently)
Racheli is a fighter when it comes to misfortune, her past reflects her struggles and the trial she's had to overcome. Born in Spring Hill, IN, to a teenage mother by the name of Jackie Desdemona, her father was unknown even among the tightly knit community they lived in during her first few months of life. Shortly afterwards they moved to Mannis, New York, a suburban area ideal to raise children and provided more opportunities for both of them. Things seemed to have been going well up until Racheli turned two. A mysterious man had came knocking at their door, engaging into a heated argument which escalated, resulted in Ms. Desdemona's murder and Rach's abduction. Despite months spent in searching for her, no one could find hair or trace of the daughter. In a few months all attempts were ceased, turning the murder and kidnapping case into a cold file.
Little did anyone know, Racheli's own abductor and mother's killer was none other than her own father, Micheal Garth. For the next six years, Racheli grew up in complete, blissful ignorance to what the man raising her had done. Her life was uneventful during the period her father used to wait out the heat caused by Jackie's death, interrupted only by continual moving, and to most he seemed like an ideal single father. In most ways he was. Images were deceiving and always will be in her mind when she discovered a dark truth about both her father and herself, deep within the Oregon wilderness. It was a yearly cabin trip, purely isolated save for a single road running straight through and stationed only a mile from their location. A few weeks in, she learned her father had been murdering women in the basement, specially designed for the grim task. Unable to escape fast enough, Rach was quickly pulled into the bloody event leaving her scarred and forever in conflict with herself. It was here she learned something twisted about herself: the enjoyment of inflicting pain and suffering.
Driven by selfish desire not to become him, she made her way down into the basement the next night and freed the woman. It was little surprise the victim was terrified of Racheli which only angered the little girl more as on the way out, they encountered Rach's father's furious figure. Thinking quickly, the child tugged the weakened woman toward the front door then to the upstairs with the man in their wake. Locking them inside her room, the girl helped the victim climb out of the window and down to the ground. From there, they made their way to the highway. Only Racheli made it as the woman died due to infection and blood loss in the girl's arms.
It was dawn the next morning when Racheli attracted a truck driver's attention when she nearly got herself ran over. Calling the police, the authorities found proof of her claims and a man hunt was issued for Micheal Garth. She learned he was arrested days later while using a faked credit card, placing him on trial and finally found guilt. He was placed up for the death penalty in a few weeks. Meanwhile Racheli was placed into a temporary foster home before a relative, her grandmother, retrieved her. Once again she was moved over state lines into Maine, where she would stay for several years.
In her teenage years, Racheli grew up in the suburban area in a small town just on the outer limits where she had gotten a rough reputation. For most people, they associated her with trouble because she tended to come off as aggressive and often used physical action to solve her problems. At thirteen she and a couple of kids broke into the local gym, but she was the only one caught. The police asked if the gym owner wanted to press charges, her mouth shut while she refused to rat out those with her, and had to take a double take when the old guy shook his head. Instead she received an ultimatum, either work to pay off the damages or go to jail. It was a losing battle so she chose the prior since it was the least restricting of the choices. Being around the gym while the boxers trained sparked her interest in the sport so when the guy offered to train her, on strict conditions, well, it was too good to pass up. Racheli trained to become a contender for the city tournament in the following years, becoming eighteen and reaching for the top thanks to her competitive drive. Like most turns in her life, things got in the way. Her grandmother became ill and forced Racheli to give up on her dream, taking two full time jobs while working off and on at the gym. Between working at the local grill and bar, Eden's Garden, and factory work, Racheli managed to prevent them being tossed out on the streets.
Over a three days ago, her grandmother mysteriously passed away in her sleep. Arranging the cremation and funeral, the last task left was to end the rental contract and dump her grandmother Ruth's ashes into the sea. It felt like it was best to make a new start and that was something Racheli intended to do. She's arrived in Lost Haven, Maine, just over an hour ago with her grandmother ashes. During the flight, it seemed she had caught something because she's been feeling weak and coughing sparingly.
Dr. Marcus Twaine, a bacterial and rock specialist, discovered the organism on asteroid rock samples taking by NASA's space probe Hermes after returning home. Microscopic and viral like, the government delivered the creature to a disclosed location. Though the place wasn't officially named, many folks knew it as Building 51. It was here where it was studied, experimented with and attempted to be better understood but known to the scientists, they had altered the Alien's original DNA in their ignorance. It became more of a living, intelligent virus which could now exist in humans. It was discovered when a scientist was exposed and infected, displaying unusual symptoms within minutes. Quarantining the host, they were able to extract the Alien for further study.
Hoping to weaponize it, several humans, from criminals to volunteers, were exposed to the Alien. Most the civilians were dead within minutes as they died in stage three. Surprisingly it was the criminals who lasted the longest during the trials, ranging in hours before their bodies finally wore down and died. It was one of these death sentenced killers who allowed the Alien to escape when it synced with the man's brain pattern causing a chain reaction and slaughtered the staff, leaving corpses ripped apart in its wake. Using a car, it drove out of the smoldering building's ruins. For months, it passed through several hosts and infected often by direct touch, staying in dormant state until it was activated. All it took was a stressful event to trigger it which was easy as it was impossible to avoid it. Its last victim was a elderly woman named Ruth Desdemona, Racheli's own grandmother who died within stage one. Currently its within the woman's granddaughter, inactivated, but it won't stay that way forever.
Hero Type (Select one): Other-Host to an Alien Parasite/Virus (didn't quite fit Alien sadly...)
Power Level (Select one below):
Mentality: Street level (Her selfishness and fears force her to remain on the smaller scale of things) Physical: Between Street and City Level (She has the potential to grow to the Cosmic level, but events, connections, and even character development in the IC can influence when/how/in what manner her mind will be in when that happens) Emotionally: Street Level (Anymore, she’ll have a mental break down and kick someone’s ass...or the wall)
Powers (Be Specific):
~Note~ As the Alien grows and developments, key mile stones will alter Racheli's DNA. This means her current abilities will develop into more advance forms and even developing new ones as she grows in the IC. I'll be running any new ability, which I'm still debating on what to give her for future arcs, by current Gms before implying it IC and adding it to the CS when it has made an appearance. For now, she only has a few to start off after with in her origin arc. These abilities below will gradually show up after her near death experience.
Racheli
Powers
~Metal manipulation: Racheli has the ability to control all metal, currently limited to metals she's came into contact with and those known on the Periodic Table on Earth. She's able to manipulate the metal into any shape or direction, even altering its strength, make it shift from solid to liquid, and change its original metal into another type like copper to steel. There's little she can do if she sets her mind and imagination to it which will be tested in the years to come. Though its strength still depends on her basic knowledge and experiences, she can be rather flexible when it comes to switching from offense to defense. Bullets that impact can mold and change, instantly breaking their shape apart as she adds them to her arsenal and turn it upon her attacker.
One of her most common tactics is shifting any metal she has access to into something like a liquid quick sliver which she can easily change at will and within seconds for a fast reaction to a threat. This liquid can be used like a whip to grip and ensnare, or have the sharpness of a katana and able to slice flesh, clothing and more. It can also detach into sharpen projectiles though used too often without replenishing will deplete the quick silver's volume over the battle's course. For defense, she can extend into a shield to protect herself should her foe attempt to counter her efforts.
Type-Combative and Non-combative Range- Four meters within her position and eye sight Duration- As long as she's awake and focusing on said metal Other- For Alien or more complicated based metals beyond the basic Periodic Table elements, Racheli can't manipulate until she's tapped into its essence (sort of speak) and acquired its knowledge into her DNA. To achieve this she has to have touched it for an extended period without interruption and focused full on it, leaving her unable to use her metal manipulation or other abilities until the process is completed. When in affect, her pupils extend to engulf her whole eyes turning them completely black. Once completed, she can manipulate it like any other metal with one exception. If the metal is magical or has living essence within it, then non-stop manipulation will end up draining her energy which can lead to extreme pain. Enough of it can cause her to pass out or kill her if she's too reckless. When either of those happens, the mentioned item reverts back to its original state before she influenced it.
While Racheli can change the the shape, size and composition, she can't alter its total volume without additional metal. So for example, she can't make a wall size shield with something as small as a coin but she can spread the material to about palm size by making it extremely thin. Sadly it wouldn't be strong or useful for defending against a weapon's strike. She can also lighten or weigh down metals, as long as she has manipulated them more than once, adding to her flexibility. Any metal she is actively affecting changes color to pure black, without any shine or metallic qualities, which often makes her wonder if her ability hadn't completely altered the material beyond its original state.
~Magnetism: Unlike Metal Manipulation, this power focuses on magnetism and magnetic fields allowing Racheli to create, manipulate, and focus magnetism of certain forms. A few examples are sources like magnetoshere, magnetic materials, planetary, etc. This allows her to attract or repulse metal objects, enabling things from flipping metal trucks to walking up skyscrapers sides at ease and even creating force fields for bullets or other metal objects. In addition Racheli can create and sense magnetic field, everything from their flow, anything disrupting them (as in moving inside or influencing) and even shifts in power. To farther her influence over the fields, she can alter the ions changing between positive and negative enabling her attacks to have a little extra shock to them.
Type- Combative Range- 6 meters all around Duration-Varies, though continual use will drain her Other- Racheli is unable to influence living things or the metal within them, at least without risking her own life. This mainly due to the natural resistance found in living creatures compered to inanimate objects which have no will at all. The best she can do is track an individual using the iron in their blood, farther influence is impossible. (AKA folks, powers that risk PC instant death or mind manipulate isn't something I'm a fan which according to Wikipedia for super-powers is possible with this...)
The electrical field is a small area, about 3 meters in diameter and she has to have touched the spot, creating a magnetic tag of sorts, once before she can converse it into a electrical field. Usually Racheli will prefer to create smaller fields about the size of her hands and than shift the magnetic charge, 'Tazer' her foe into submission with a snap of her fingers. If prevented snapping her fingers, then It can't activate and even if does, there's no guarantee this will work on everyone. With the growing number of supers, meta humans and more in Lost Haven, their anatomy is a lot harder to predict their tolerance to compared to normal humans.
Combative Skills
~Boxing: At a young age, Racheli learned the basics about the art of boxing. To say she mastered it is impossible as that would imply she can't improve, a fact which isn't true, so her levels haven't peaked fully. Before she was forced to give it all up, her experience level lie within what her gym classed as a Prospect and a Journeymen in the sport. She had the talent, footwork and drive, but her experience lacked heavily and that was a factor which hurt her more then the rest. Even a poor athlete could be a decent boxer if they had the experience of a champ. Her skill level now resides in Tomato Cans level though it wouldn't take her long to raise to the level of Prospect or beyond with a reason and hard training, her body fully able to recall the rhythms, strikes, and more instinctively.
Type- Combative Range- CQC Duration-As long as her stamina lasts, which currently is human. Other-
Alien
Telepathy: Due to inhabiting Racheli's body, the Alien is able to share its thoughts and mentally communicate with her as well as others. It can project itself in the real world-so long as Racheli is conscious- in the form of a projection, the image currently taken is her father's last known image. It's choice seemed to be to influence her into a desired path as it reminds her of what she is and could become, something she's not exactly pleased with. Beyond that, the organism hasn't shown any ability to affect the outside other than chose who it shares its image and conversation with. So it wanted to make her seem crazy, it is well within the being's ability to do so.
Type- Non-combative Range- Namely the farther away from Racheli, the weaker the power is. Duration-N/A Other- Note to Telepathic PCs, either magic, meta or other means, any attempt to read or influence Racheli's mind will be met with resistance by the Alien. Mainly defensive, it only protects her and is far beyond her skills to willingly control. The best description when it comes to trying to push pass is that it is like hitting a solid, living wall where you've little idea what its defenses or reactions will be against you. Usually the harder the opposing force tries to enter her mind, the worse the counter measures and higher the risk the invading mind could be heavily damaged.
Attributes (Select one at each category):
Strength Level: Normal Human-10 tons
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human- 20 MPH.
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours.
Agility: Normal Human- 5x
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Untrained
Resources: Minimal
Considering she just got into town a few hours ago, there's much much she can really do or say beyond having a place to stay for the moment.
Weaknesses:
Slow Progression
At the rp's start, Rach starts off as a normal, average human in the arc and will progress over IC. From her average status to her height and curvy figure, though it has its drawbacks, namely her rather small bust size. It will take months to progress if she rarely uses her abilities, but it will only take days to weeks after constantly using them. Her only notable traits that seems inhuman is her ability to take a serious beating and still get up against the odds, though the recover would be rather difficult. It doesn't mean she is superhuman or unable to be killed, but rather she has a strong will to force herself past her human limits. A factor that has served her well in her life time and made her ideal host for the Alien, at least besides her natural taste for violence and death.
Ashes to Ashes
Without the host, the Alien's structure and DNA has a weakness to light and heat which helped the scientists contain it so any blood samples will be destroyed when exposed to either of these two elements. By bonding with Racheli, the parasite/viral organism has eliminated its weakness to light due to her body creating a barrier against it but it is still susceptible to extreme temperatures of heat. Usually at this earliest stage, what is considered feverish would be enough to reset it and can place the Alien organism into temporary hibernation, making Racheli completely human as a result. Most times one would see immediate results but should her and the Alien's brain patterns sync, which will only occurs when Racheli gives into her killer instinct, that makes things slightly more complicated. Depending on syncing progresses' length, the effect can be immediate or range into minutes, rarely hours, before signs are showing the reset is taking hold. In this state her mind is confused and is under the deep influences of the Alien, risking her attacking others from civilians to more powerful beings in her weakness.
After being 'reset' and her body returns to its normal temperatures, then the Alien parasite will once more begin its growth again. Though it will take some time for it reach its prior levels, unless syncing brain patterns which would shorten the process.
Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):
Will add as the RP goes on, though here's a few.
~Garret Shepherd: A friend from the other side of Maine and he was the one that set up Racheli's living arrangements, suggested this crazy idea as he contacted his cousin. Though Racheli was bitter about the help yet seeing no other option, she was forced to agree and keep an eye on her future roommate for him. She's currently on a plane to Lost Haven where said cousin is located and supposed to meet her at a local cafe called 'The Cozy Spot'.
Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?:
Yes, do I get a treat now?!? :P
Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue. As this is an Advanced Level game, Sample must also meet the RPG forum's minimum requirement of 12 lines):
“Hello? Anyone there?”
Racheli felt her voice echo back, the words filled with caution and uncertainty, before she opened the door farther. It made a loud, protesting creak at her push and heightened her awareness to full blown paranoia. Something wasn't right. She could easily tell that much when she edged farther in, instinctively keeping her hand still on the door while she moved deeper into the room. It took seconds to sense something or someone watching her enter while her eyes jerked upright. The green irises scanned the shadows, struggling to locate them and causing her to glare back, peeved who ever stood silently in the darkness didn't bother to make its presence known. Turning from corner to the next, nothing moved to her human eyes.
Seconds turned into minutes, and shortly the stillness of the place was making the fine hairs along her neck back rise in alarm. Like a frighten, her breath becoming shallower as died down in volume, a faint hope it would be enough to hide her presence. It was a ridiculous thought she realize when noting the only light source came from the door right behind her. The light spotlighted her and drowned her in its pure, cold light. In her mind's assumption, it seemed to scream for her to stay within the colorless patch. It kept her calm and safe. However it also felt...wrong, almost pure cold. No warmth or heat, nothing to make it anything else but ice. Deep in her core, it was a fact that disturbed her. The reason why though escaped Racheli, her eyes fixed by the instinct to darkness, desperate to identify what frightened her. What was there? Her mind screamed at her, blaming her for her short comings as cursed the thing's existence.
“Show yourself, damn it.” She mumbled under her breath. Already her hands tightened into fists and body hunched into a defensive posture, her eyes glared about at where the lurker might've been. The light's chill sent frozen razors into her flesh and seemed to pierce her insides, almost completely freezing inside her. This wasn't right. Her mind seemed to scream again and demanding, in an impossible way, for her to make it right somehow.
A child like giggle shattered the silence.
Immediately Racheli's body twisted, facing one side toward the direction and braced with her opposite. Her feet balanced on her balls, immediately giving her more mobility while she tried to balance. It was like clockwork because the moment her body lifted, her fists had came up in a familiar boxing stance ready to jab the living daylights out the thing fucking with her. Ba-bump..ba-bump...her heart leaped into her throat, settling there, as her eyes flickered back and forth. The darkness still again. She knew it was out there, sitting and waiting, unable to convince herself there was nothing there. Something, her instinct or whatever, told her something was there and no force in heaven or hell could convince her otherwise. Seconds seemed to turn into minutes, drifting into what felt like hours while her body stayed ridged in her stance. It didn't take long for her muscle to start aching and her figure to loosen a bit, unable to take it much longer.
“This is getting ridiculous...”Racheli muttered under her breath, cursing her twitchy nerves when slowly released her ready stance.
“You shouldn't be so quick to relax.”
Racheli's head whipped around late when the color silver flashed, darting at her middle. Her body tensed when a sharp pain erupted, her lips trickled blood causing her to look down. A knife, sharp and deadly, had nailed her between the ribs. The handle lightened by the light still pouring through the open door and seemed to dull all her senses, killing her off with its numbness. Racheli's fear clawed within her when she realized her couldn't feel anything. Her eyes pulled up and peered at her attacker, her right hand clasped over the embedded weapon while the other rested on the assailant's shoulder. All color drained from her face on seeing herself looking back. The eyes dark and crazed, tainted with a greed she knew well.
The woman's words were spoken in a male voice, very ones that haunted her since she was a child. “You're daddy's little girl after, aren't you?”
Racheli's eyes snapped open.
Her skin was drenched in sweat and head throbbing, her flesh the color of curled milk, from the nightmare. A shaky hand reached up to touch her temple while trying to cease the trembling. Hazily, her mind tried to recall her surroundings rapidly before she did something uncalled for. The first thing that came to mind was jumping out of her seat and bolting for the nearest exit, forgetting in an instant why she was here originally. Her heart jabbed her rib cage with each rapid beat and for a moment, she thought it was going to tear right out her chest and never calm down. The dream had been so vivid and real, her mind rattled just thinking about it. It had been a few years since she had that dream, explaining why it had scared the shit out of her. Her heart seemed ready to make a break for after the shock to her system and made her chest throb. Between her chest and head, something was bound to give as her fingers rubbing her temple for a bit. It took several minutes before the ache started to fade from her focus though, after finally realizing she was on a plane to Lost Haven, it didn't help the passenger in the side seemed to chainsawing down trees with deafening snores. She hoped this trip was going to be a freaking short one.
Unless @nitemare shape has anything objections, the character sheet looks fine. Just one thing before I would accept it: did you ever resolve the whole NPC geneticist yet?

Yes we did, NMS said my options were either Midas corp or Gene Co. The later was my best option which I'm working, with help from Tearstone as he's more detailed talented then me, to fleshing it more. Though I intend to have Racheli end up contacting Midas Industries or something, I'm still waiting on NMS to answer some things, I aim to have her Alien's history stem from Gene Co. where it escaped from. Namely as that could create some friction between both companies. Mostly Midas discovering Gene Co.'s finger prints and could, (I said could as I don't own or control NMS' company) attempts to learn about what happened while possibly making a profit from. Meanwhile, Gene Co. will both trying to recover its property, which includes Racheli now, and possibly messing with Meta humans, Aliens, etc. (AKA main PCs) off and on in small clashes in the future.
Hey, sorry that I vanished on you. My mother had a bit of an accident and I've been spending a lot of time taking her to the hospital/doctor's appointments plus my own job, so I haven't really been online. I'm just checking in now, I have no objections to the sheet, and I will get back to you tonight when I get home from work regarding the additional questions you had.

No problem, no worries and thanks. Seems RL is hitting you hard with a string of bad luck from what I've seen in the OoC so I hope some good luck comes your way soon.
