The Faunus--> Grimm is farfetched according to the show's logic. It dawned on me when I rematched the show.

Grimm are creatures of darkness, thus have no soul.

Aura is the manifestation of the siul., and is required for both the use of semblence and when using weapons, which are a manifestation of aura.

Blake, a Faunus both possesses a semblence and uses a transforming wrapon.: sure signs of an aura.

Sorry to say, but ERode's theory can't work

I already explained it by going on about the Grimm being able to eventually 'get' a soul after they consume enough humans. Something along the lines of 'becoming' what they eat. That's why Grimm have animal-like forms, and why Faunus ALSO have many different animalistic features, which can't simply be explained through loldifferent tribes. We've literally have not seen ANY two faunus that had the same animal-features.

Essentially, 'ancient' Grimm evolved into Faunus, and eventually began to reproduce amongst themselves due to that. That's why faunus weren't involved in the ep 1 mythology creation myth. They gained their soul through the consumption of lots of humans, which is why they sought to eat humans the first place, as eating humans for food is stupid, seeing how Grimm don't have souls, and thus, aren't even 'allive' the first place.

Basically, an instinct to get something that they don't have.

People in the roleplay can theorize however they want, but until that stuff's canon, we're so far not having a direct link between Grimm to Faunus. While we'll prolly discuss possibilities and hammer down a definite thing during a Storm of Brains, I'm not in the boat of Grimm having become regular humans. And, I'm also in the boat that Fauna were mentioned in the Creation myth, in that they're also human and part of mankind. So, funny ears aside...yeah, also regular people. :P

That's not to say that ancient Grimm won't have some relation to mankind, they just may not have turned into a race is all. :P
