If Tauros made a literal supernova, we need to have some explanation as to why PCs exist. Like.. Seriously.

I chalked it up to more purple prose writing. Only KoL can really explain that with science or something.

Didn't Artoria somehow find that super secret combat armor thing that the Machina were developing? I'm still trying to figure out how she managed to find it so fast. you'd think that such a thing would be more heavily protected or at least kept a secret. I could understand Shizuka and Hibiki finding it because they're commanders of the Machina forces, but as far as I can tell Artoria just knew where it was instinctively. I think stealing it was the first thing she did after she poofed into the factory in the first place.

@Lucius Cypher Ah yeah, you're right. I forgot about that one. I was going to have Machina infiltrators spot for me originally, but then I thought Eos killed them all, and forgot that would change Artoria knowing about it. But then the machina infiltrators weren't all killed off for reals. So.. I'm really not sure how it should have gone down.

@Lucius Cypher@TheWindel

It was a supernova but it wasn't one at the same time. The problem with that attack is that too don't get the reference.

It's a move from Taurus Aldebaran of Saint Seya the Lost Canvas. You probably can chalk it to purple prose, which is why I tell you to avoid too much real life physics on the RP. It just ruins the sense of wonderment that comes from this being an overpowered anime fantasy where gods, demons and OP mecha go into melee throwing stars and black holes at each other.

Don't take anything I write as being literal unless told so, since I'm really one of the free people here trying to get the best out of the OP anime genre this RP is supposed to be.

Now I'm really off. It's almost 1am here. So... see y'all.

So if it's just purple prose then....how are you nuking almost the entire outside of the city sized factory without destroying the factory too? It clearly doesn't have a protective shield after all

@KoL And yet, every time I come up with the wrong conclusions by not drawing out the realistic physical consequences (aka, how big is a steel factory?) I'm also wrong. As I said earlier, I always seem to aim too high or too low when interpreting what you say. Which is why I'm glad we had this discussion this time without getting at each other's throats for me to clear up all my errors. Thanks again.

Mephila: Pretty rough and tumble high class demon, which is why he's able to stand fight against someone on Shizuka's class for awhile. But he's not exactly winning that fight.

As regular ole' Mephilius, he's basically more of a defensive type, with some offensive strategies considering he's a lnace user with a shield. Then again, he has abilities that's outside them, such as his blade and pyrokenetics so there's that offensively.

@Lmpkio In my opinion, Mephila has a pretty good set of powerful well rounded abilities. Compared to Henry who has a pretty good set of absurdly powerful but focused abilities, I'd say Henry slightly edges you out due to having Silver Eyes. But it's close enough that I'd put Mephila in my high overall tier of power for characters.

Which is "High for PCs" because GM characters mostly deserve their own category.

I'm all up for using anime physics to get shit done, and far be it from me to play hard about real life stuff, but there's a certain suspension of disbelief about this sort of stuff. Grafdakka is suppose to be one of the toughest motherfuckers on the board, made specifically to survive everyone's instant kill attacks and do harm to them too, but trying to pull that off has put me through the wringer for stuff like "Ignoring" attacks, whether they come from one of KoL's characters or someone else. Or even right now where I'd like to use anime logic to think that Endian could somehow survive a ground zero self-destruct from Grafdakka, but I'm hesitant to do that because I know if I can pull that off, than surely anyone else could too.

Call it meta gaming if you'd like, but Endian isn't a power house on her own. Certainly doesn't have the same level of deadliness or durability as Grafdakka does. But if she could survive Grafdakka's self-destruct explosion, even if she did prepare before hand, what's to say that Anata couldn't also make all the correct split second decisions to also nullify any harm from the self-destruct and somehow survive? Then I'd be up shit creek without a paddle because I basically had to sacrifice my ultimate armor and weapon in a glorious explosion miles underground, and because of anime logic that might not actually kill anyone. And if that happens with Grafdakka, what's the chances that Endian could preform any better?

Granted it's not like I have any other options. But the point is that this battle isn't any different from the previous ones at all. No real balance, no real purpose, and no real motive to go all out or try to have fun knowing that you're just going to get one-upped and the GM's have to decide who wins in the end because everyone is trying very hard not to die.

It's already happened so there isn't anything to do about it. But again, it's just another case of a failure in communication destroying an opportunity to enjoy something. I thought it would've been interesting to see the demons and machina fight for the suits and maybe some of the machina coordinating to use the suits, but only Ryo bothered to utilize them and you stole the other easy easily as stealing candy from a baby. Maybe they were suppose to be better protected, but if so no one bothered to do that. Which in this RP basically means it's free game for anyone to just waltz in and take it.

Posted. Sorry for any delays. Hibiki's plan to assassinate Ceil finally went off and Shizuka used a desperate attack to try to take out Mephilia and Henrietta at once. I'm no sure if Shizuka's arm survived her gauntlet exploding, but even with Eos's defensive buff Shizuka basically sacrificed her arm.

And I'd rather not get into the discussion about power level and fairness. I've never liked taking part of things like that. But I will say that regardless who my opponents will be my Mecha Maids will give it their all even if it's not enough. I know it sucks to always loose and never feel like you've earned your victory. But you'll never win if you don't fight. So do whatever it takes, even if all you can do is point your gun at the enemy and pull the trigger or grab tight and blow yourself up. I'd rather lose knowing I took the shot than to give up because I know I'd miss.

Once is coincidence, twice is happenstance, but three times is enemy action, and suffice it to say I am compelled to speak up when my sense for pattern recognition kicks in.

You two know full well this has been as War of the Three has for some time. GMs need to both meet the RPers expectations of a swift posting speed while having enough detail to work with in the process, and the faster they need it, the less detail that gets packed in. Adding to this issue is past attempts to provide ultra detailed posts only for them to ignored outright. A lot of effort went into trying to detail the Elicitor and Sea of Ruthria battles but all those efforts were by and large wasted, and let's not even get into Alt Signia for that matter.

Lucius, you claim Grafdakka is a tank meant to endure all sorts of punishment and shrug them off without a care only to be bludgeoned with a nerf bat for ignoring other people's posts. You can be a tank who no sells attacks, but much like your recurring issues in DGO, you struggled to acknowledge attacks of any value were even happening in the first place.

Flame, I do admit the details you desire would be helpful if there was even the slightest inkling left that people would acknowledge it in an equivalent fashion, but as we've all seen this battle didn't have the most organized start- What with Greg teleporting straight to Eos, Artoria portalling to the reactor room, etc- and it's been a hell of a time keeping things running as is. You're passive aggressive attitude isn't going to help things here, and even more so considering recent history.

This RP has frequent issues, and those issues are addressed as often as possible by people who have lives outside of RPing, and it's with the best intentions we amend what doesn't work and add on what we hope will work. Will this RP ever run perfectly? No. But it can grow given time, and every new challenge overcome leads to new balances that will hopefully improve the RP as a whole just as the RPers all work to benefit their characters by exploiting the paradigm. Just from this battle alone we'll be establishing firm counters to portalling/teleports and probably making the starting placemenet of PCs more orderly in the future battles.

I'm not telling either of you to just 'Sit down and shut up', but if all you have to your names is a track record of burning RPs to the ground, then I suggest you kindly refrain from trying to bang your rocks together inside our ramshackle tree house just to make yourselves heard.

Well I was trying to keep most of my genuine criticisms for after the battle ended, but fortunately for me it seems like I don't have to do so now. I genuinely believe that Eos is actively trying to not win this fight, but if we have reached a point where every time I poke up to make a criticism it is either seen as sarcasm that doesn't matter or a passive-aggressive attempt to self destruct an RP I don't care about (which is untrue) then clearly our relationship has degraded to the point where things ar untenable.

As a result I will save you the trouble of having to ban me again and voluntarily withdraw from this RP. Have fun the rest of you, and I'll make sure not to join another of your games until I've run a successful RP of my own.

Well, the intention wasn't for you to quit anything. However, you seem to be unable to do anything but point out the flaws of everything we do without proposing any sort of solution at all.

Seriously, what are you even complaining about Eos and what do you suppose she could do that she's not already doing? She's a superpowered robot, but I'm not. Instead of hitting the same key over and over again to accuse us, you could easily have said what I'm doing wrong and I could either find a solution for it or explain the situation (since it's likely to be a misunderstanding like the one that put the last nail on DGO's coffin), just as I did regarding the problem of KC-00032's size.

You are free to go as you see fit but know that this is the same as on the other RPs before. You complain but you don't try to help or at least understand our side.

We are only human, we ask for some feedback but rarely ever get any. Then, when we do a mistake based on assuming that people would follow/get our ideas the world falls on our shoulders because no one wants to take responsibility for being mute. And you are aways there to fan the flames without ever proposing anything constructive.

This kind of behavior gets grating over time. I hope you know that and that you never come across a player as complicated to GM for as you are.

I'm not sure what's going on at the moment or what we're even discussing right now. I will say I somewhat understand your criticisms since I will agree Eos is a lackluster leader, though I'm not sure if KoL understands that. As for everything else, it's a cluster to think about.

As for the issue of being passive aggressive, you probably don't see yourself as that. But look at some of your posts from a GM perspective. I mean really, some of them just look like they're begging to gain a negative response from us. Some of them; whether or not they are is only known by you but it sure looks that way sometimes.

As KoL said we're not trying to drive you away. But I'm sure that's never going to be enough to convince you anyway so farewell for now.

Hey uh, just a heads up but Henrietta isn't actually attacking yet. She's kinda just standing off to the side and waiting to see how the Eos clones did before she attacks. Just sayin.

And wow guys, holy shit did I miss a lot. I'm flattered you guys think of Henry as being the strongest character despite the fact he has won a grand total of one battle lol.

Also for Mephilius, technically the wire hit his shield while in his regular form, not his armor. However, I will let that slide for today.

Well, I know that Eos isn't the best leader by a long shot. That's why I'm trying to work with her to change that. However, if all I have are complaints and negative comments no matter what direction I go with her, I'll keep walking in circles.

It just seems that asking for people's opinion ends up being pointless 9/10 times, since either I don't get any feedback or I fix a problem and three more come to take its place.

I try my best to make this a good experience for everyone. Pleasing others is just too hard.

I give my pass to Henry on this matter (at least at that time). A battle against a faction comprised of almost nothing but snipers trying to one shot people from stealthy positions is unfunny for all sides involved.

If you are gonna play a sniper archetype in a game such as this one, at least make it interesting to people to interact with them, like say, EMIYA and Archer of Red from the Fate franchise or Sinon from SAO.
