Eh, I don't imagine it'd be that farfetched. Without the faction leaders, I think some Angels and demons and Grafdakka would still go at it, but most people would just go and do their own thing.

Dropping a post here to inform you guys of an IRL update.

Getting wisdom teeth removed on Thursday, so don't expect me to post for a few days after tomorrow. I'll likely be drunk off of medicine and all I'd want to do is sleep for the next few days after.

You really think that wars would stop just because a nation's leader isn't there? As far as history goes, it's quite the contrary. A nation without leaders tends to fall into chaos and civil war quite fast as no one agrees with no one.

In fact I should have Grafdakka go on a conquest. Surely if he claims territory for the queen she would reward him with more than just power, but also fiefdom? Wot Happened Endian being the more logical mind I feel this could work. Now I just need cohorts.

I retract my earlier statement and I say that Bonesword is definitely down.

Edit: Just realized that this would mean he can't garden with Luci. I'm not too distraught, though, as the cross-faction business wouldn't be as punishing if he didn't actually do it.

Sweet. I could see Grafdakka highjacking Miyu's ship when she tries to leave orbit in vengeance for her shinanigans back at Alt Signia, but may have a place for a traitor like her. Alexis is also good if she remembers how to get to battle.

He's just recruiting the likes of angels and demons to the Machina forces with the promise of power, fortune, and freedom. Just as Bastion was brainwashed to fight for the demons or how Shizuka is an angel fighting for the Machina, Grafdakka or rather Endian will be going out of her way to convince her enemies to switch sides.

You could probably count Henry in if he meets with Grafdakka. He's pretty dissatisfied with the Demons right now and he would love some of that sweet sweet Machina tech.

Excellent. I imagine it ought to be fairly easy to meet up with Wolf and Bonesword since they're both Machina Soldiers. Try to see if the both of y'all could head back to that karaoke bar from the last downtime, I'll have Endian come over and recruit the both of y'all into her conquest army.

See, this is why you need Fran: she'd totes hook you up with ideas to seek out power Hungary individuals at the other factions and nurture their hunger. Like taking care of a peach tree, protect and feed it until it bares ripe fruit. After that, you can keep taking care of it or chop it down into lumber. Fran could be your go-between for the Machina and Demons so Gebry doesn't have to "switch sides" but still get a cut from it, if he helps Graf's little mission.

To put it in another perspective: should Graf happen to obtain materials to create powerful robot suits, he'd attack Henry's territory where they happen to get "captured" during battle, though the pilots managed to escape with their lives. Though if Henry wants to just straight up join the Machina, I won't object either.

Oooh, might be fun to get the Henry/Miyu dynamic going on post Henry loyalty to the demons and post Miyu loyalty to the angels.

Yes, always good to have wacky hijinx of two characters who are suppose to be allies, but their bitter history makes it difficult for the two to work alongside each other. But could they put aside their difference in order to make the best of their situation and possibly win the battle?

I suspect not.

If by cross faction meetings you mean a hotbed of ultra vioence where Grafdakka could live, die, and live again eternal and chrome against all comers.

It'll be like Valhalla except you have to fight your way inside, to the bar, and out of the door.
