Here I am! Not really quite sure.....is this thing on? Testing, testing.....ah, good....Not quite sure what to say here, greetings? I suppose I'm somewhere between a (Filthy) casual and advanced in terms of role-play. I've had several long-running RPs (the longest still going, with 3 participants spanning approximately 13 years and over 10 characters for each participant now) but I tend towards world-building more than actually taking part in new ones nowadays. Figured I couldn't find a harm in joining on the off-chance I find something that truly caught my attention.
I'm pretty knowledgeable in many fields of history, military history especially. I'm no gun guru but having served in the US armed forces (and being an avid shooter) I know my way around quite a wide range of firearms and weapons of war and violence. If you have any questions on any of those things (whether ideas for a weapon or ideas for a campaign) feel free to drop me a PM and ill see what I can to work something out
I like to fancy myself a bit of a writer, nothing published...despite probably enough notepads and ideas for books to fill half of fort Knox's vaults. I'm an avid reader, prefer science fiction and fantasy, but I've been known to read other genres from time to time when the mood hits me. I'm an avid fan of Warhammer (40K in particular), with a particular interest in the Imperial Guard in said setting.
Above all this though, I'm a joker, and I have enough sarcasm to choke 10 people once I get comfortable with a crowd. I do my best to be polite and tactful, but if I feel the situation calls for it, I will also be brutally....brutally honest....you'll also probably notice, as you can tell from all this, once I get going I tend to rant.
