Ari watched as Malik and Archie got out of the car and Malik started to put gas in the car. Archie was sniffing around and he began to snarl. "Malik hurry!" Ari said starting to panic. Archie dashed around the side of the station. Ari jumped out of the car and followed the dog with her gun out. As she moved over to the building she kept her eyes open and leaned against the building listening. Not hearing anything but Archie she turned the corner to hear Malik telling her to get back there. She ran after the wolf. She smiled and came back around the corner to see Malik finishing up the gas and two people across the street woking their way towards the car.

"Stop right there. Malik get into the car now!" As soon as he realized what was going on he did and started the car. The two people had stopped but looked like they were gonna make a break for it. "Archie! Come on boy!" She whistled and Archie came out of the woods behind her with a large rabbit. The two people looked like they were starving to death and the woman at least was sick. "Archie, get in the car." She saw him about to jump in with the rabbit. "Archie no! Put it down." Archie didn't want to. She walked over there and reached down and took the rabbit from him and tossed it to the people. Archie grumbled at her and she said. "I know but it will make a mess in the car now get in." Still grumbling the wolf got in and pouted. Ari got in gun still pointed at the other people and Malik hit the gas.

WHile Malik was pumping and watched as Archie and Ari was checking out what was around the building and was asked to huryy, Malik heard the pump click as they were filled with gas now but Malik noticed people coming as He got in the car and Archie was grumbling from Ari telling him not to bring the bloody rabbit with them.

Malik smirked We still have some food left boy. he said reaching for his back pack, pulling out a piece of cooked steak and gave it to him. While driving Malik looked over at Ari Wonder if those people back there we saw were infected or not. he said driving for a few more hours until it got dark. While they were driving, they had to slow own because of all the broke down cars and other things in the road which Malik needed to swerve around but Archie started snarling and whining a little from something it must've hear or smelled in the air.

What's up man? he asked Archie as Archie stared in the direction that it noticed something. I think Archie may have caught on to something.... It sounded like crying from a child in the direction Archie was looking as they drove slow enough to hear it. Babe.....do you hear that? he asked.

Ari listened and she nodded. "Drive in that direction." She listened more intently and when they were essentially stuck and couldn't move the car any longer she opened the door and followed Archie. She heard Malik approaching her and she put her finger to her mouth to keep him silent. She moved silently towards the side door of the house in front of them. She could see through the window and what she saw horrified her more than any other thing up til then. The house was being used as a 'science research facility,' in other words it was being used as a torture house in the name of science. She grabbed Archie by the collar as the baby stopped making any sounds at all and Ari ran to the car as fast as she could get there. Archie jumped in and Malik was already starting the car again. Backing out they continued down the road.

"Did you see what that was?" Her expression showed that she couldn't get the images out of her mind. She had seen several 'doctors of science' in there in the white coats and gloves and masks. There was no doctoring going on there though. She was breathing hard and she couldn't get the images of the baby out of her mind as the man injected it with something that obviously killed it.

How were they supposed to survive in this world? Was all that was left of humanity evil?
