I'll hopefully get a post up later this evening. Probably won't have much to do with Erika, but I'll make a little blurb about what Claire's general plans are now and the potential meet up and whatnot.
Speaking for Claire's pokemon - I think Weedle and Ledyba started at level five, and Combee started at level six though. I'd say five is a good general level to start with though.
Appearance: Rory stands at a tall 5'11", making him taller than the average 16 year old. This, however, gives him a good advantage when swimming, as he is able to swim more powerfully. Due to his years of swimming, he has a toned body. Rory has short black hair that doesn't require any styling, he just lets it go how it wants.
Rory usually wears a T-shirt, with a black and red jacket over it if it might rain, or it is cold. In warm weather, he wears shorts with his T-shirt, and wears jeans when it is cold. With these, he wears trainers.
Rory is almost always accompanied by one or more of his pokémon walking with him, out of their pokéball(s).
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Personality: At first, Rory can seem a bit introverted, possibly even rudely so, but he is in fact a wallflower. Once you get to know Rory, you'll find out that he's a friendly, sporty guy, who loves swimming, especially with his friends and pokémon. Whilst he usually doesn't go out of his way to make new friends, he'll certainly become friends with people who talk to him first.
Hometown: LaRousse City, Hoenn (now living in Highhill Town, Isson)
Background: Rory was born to a pokemon trainer father, and a pokemon contest winner mother. Being the middle of three children, however, caused Rory to spend a lot of his time on his own, and he went to the beach a lot, swimming most of the time with water pokemon such as Wailmer, Marill, and Barboach, as well as the occasional ice type pokemon. It was through this that he developed his love of ice and water type pokemon.
At the age of 14, Rory's parents decided that, whilst the hustle and bustle of LaRousse City was nice, they fancied a change, and decided to move to Highhill town, in Issen. It is here that they opened up their Pokemon ranch, where abandoned pokemon are free to live. Along with swimming in the nearby stream, Rory helped out on the ranch, which allowed him to gain knowledge of many pokemon. With his parents retired, and his older brother and younger sister travelling, Professor Kalmia decided that Rory would be a good choice of a trainer to give a pokedex, given his pre-knowledge.
Kind of Pokémon you like: Rory loves any water or ice type pokemon, and any other pokemon who are willing to swim with him, though they may not be able to keep up with him!
Quirks/Talents/Aspirations/Other: Rory still isn't sure if he would rather battle in gym battles or pokemon contests, but he is sure that he loves pokemon! Working on the ranch for the past two years has allowed him to make a lot of food for the pokemon, and the occasional human visitor, and he's got quite good cooking skills. Rory loves to walk with his pokemon outside of his pokeballs. Given the opportunity to swim, Rory will always take it.
Items: 1x Potion. You'll obtain more over time. Pokédollars: 500p. You'll obtain more over time.
Spheal Appearance:
Gender: ♂ Type: Ice/Water Personality: Spheal is much more sociable than his trainer, Rory. He will roll over to and nuzzle almost any trainer that they meet. Quirks/Talents/Aspirations/Other: Likes to roll instead of hop wherever he can. Level: 5 Moves: Defence Curl, Powder Snow, Growl, Water Gun, Rollout Ability: Thick fat. Halves damage from ice and fire type moves. Held Item: None
I kept getting so distracted by pokemon information whilst "quickly" checking something up on Bulbapedia. I totally didn't get so distracted that I watched all of Destiny Deoxys.
@Valkan Goshpf. Events. Alright. Strange things that happen to individuals. It does feel a little odd that the Tropius dropped you off next to Pureplain City, since that'd mean leaving the rainy forest... BUT EH! We'll go with convenience! They can go wherever they please! We'll go with that. Nicely posted.
@Pirouette Now, I will note, I don't want my players deciding by themselves that they managed to catch a Pokémon. That's my call. I also decide gender, level, ability, and any other small details. Not everything goes one's way all the time. That said, I do actually permit "quick-catch", where you just declare your strategies for the entire fight and I say the result of it all in case you want to do it fast. I will assume that's what you're doing, so you won't have to edit the events after the capture. You're very likely not going to fail. But, it's my call how the wild Pokémon reacted and how it finally went. You assume control first after you've caught the Pokémon. I'll also note that Poli's still hurt from that battle if you intend to use (*rolls gender*) her again on the same trip... but you seem to have taken that into account. Nice status screen, by the way. Not actually sure Sno would get that winded, though. Heh.
Aside from that, nicely posted.
@Rune_Alchemist Lots of things happening at once, eh? Teh-heh. Gosh, Lure. Anyways. Yupp, I see the plan. And multitasking on the phone, haha. Nicely posted.
@TheIrishJJ Awwwwwwwww, Spheal~ Adorable round thing. ... And with excellent type-coverage already, huh. Three moves with three types super-effective against eight basic types and can hit all basic types for at least neutral damage... Woo. Anyways.
Let's see, trainer. Yupp, all looks alright from here. With both parents in Pokémon professions and reasonably ahead, it makes sense Kalmia would know of them especially as she actually might have use of a ranch like that. She may have contacted you all quite a few times, Pureplain City isn't really large-open-space-for-Pokémon friendly exactly everywhere, it's a city, haha.
Hm, don't recognize the name of that Hoenn town. Let's see. ... Oh, anime exclusive. Gooooootcha. Well, that's fine, just don't expect me to make a lot of references to it, and we're never ever going there, even in the extremely unlikely situation we head to Hoenn for whatever reason, because it won't be on no map. XD ... Anyways, Highhill Town for two years, eh? Alright. Expect a PM in not too long. Might be a day or three because I'm currently feeling lazy.
Yupp. It all looks nice. Rory is accepted!
@Eklispe@Pikmin Eye@Pyromaniacwolf Hiya, there. I'm starting to consider posting. How are you all holding up? Thinking anything particular? Wanting someone to post first or so?
Gah, I wrote this before, but hit cancel instead of save. I forgot to actually write it a second time. Sorry for the long delay, but I finally got mine in. It's probably as good as the first post I erased.

Yeah, I know it was a bit off but I mean, I could go and add a whole other paragraph just of Erza walking back to Pureplain but I felt it would only make the post bigger without an actual need. XD
I'm anxiously waiting to get into actual pokémon action. ♥ (not that Erza didn't had enough already, lol)
@Pikmin Eye Oh, my. That's too bad. Hence why I always write my posts in Google Docs before copy-pasting it over, saves instantly. Just a potential tip. But anyways! This post conveys your intentions just fine! Nicely posted. Let's see where this goes.
@Pirouette Oh, wait, yeah. Sno had been training a bunch. Then yeah, winded makes sense. I momentarily forgot that. Hah.
Nope, nothing needs to be fixed. I'll just give you the things as you're experiencing them in the next post and you respond to them there, but keep it in mind in the future.

And I added the rough relation to the percentage system to give some comparable standard. Of course, status effects are an easy add. PSN, FZN, PLZ, BRN, SLP
Alright. Of course. I didn't know how things worked, yet. :/
@Pyromaniacwolf Alright, nicely posted. Teh-heh, going right ahead.
@Eklispe And nicely posted. Don't worry about delay, I've been delayed myself. Quite a situation you've found yourself in, eh? Haha. Anyways.
Alright, time to post, when I can find the time. The majority is already written, but today's a busy day.
@TheIrishJJ And you're free to write a post about heading to Kalmia's lab. That's where you start your journey, after all. If you post before me, there'll be someone else at the door. If you post after me, that person will have been let in. And if you want something else, talk to me about it and we'll see what we'll do. Heh.
