The Bludhaven Chronicles
150 years have pasted since the Justice League has been disbanded and dissolved. Many of the legends of today are either missing, gone, or assumed dead. Superman had left Earth to explore the universe, finally acknowledging his true power and finding purpose in helping all beings. Batman disappeared, to which many assume he passed away - even Nightwing, Batgirl, and others have either died in the good fight or hung up their capes and passed peacefully. Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern... all the legends of the early 21st century have left the world in one way or another.
But, the world keeps turning. New heroes arise just as new villains crop up to terrorize the cities across the globe. However a new threat has reared it's head. Mysteriously, superhero teams across the globe are being eliminated one by one - those who survive don't seem to have any more answers than anyone else, only claiming the new threat is 'cloaked in shadows.' Our heroes have found Bludhaven to be their new home and as they band together to face the threats of the city, dark eyes fall upon them. Will they survive or will they fall like so many before them?
So! The idea behind this role-play is that we play superheroes set in the DC Universe! Obviously a lot of the iconic heroes we're used to have either disappeared or passed away. This is supposed to be a small group, like 4-6 players, though to be honest I thought of presenting this idea as a 1x1x1x1 (which I've never seen before, lol). So I figured this might have a bit more success. My main reason was - I'm a HUGE romantic... but in either case (=P), I thought this idea would be really fun to play around in. I adore DC, but this also gives people options to play their own unique heroes. You can either come up with something completely original or a new hero who decides to revive the "Batman." This'll also be somewhere between causal / high-causal. ^.^
Anyways, let me know if you guys are interested! Any comments, suggestions, ideas, or questions you have are welcome! I already have an idea for my heroine (who I'm totally okay not being the leader of the team - also she'll be a fire user) and I'm completely open to some assistance with the story and setting - I know there's bigger DC nerds out there than me, so I definitely don't know as much as some.
(Note: I am recovering from invasive surgery, so I'll try my best to reply ASAP but it still might slow sometimes. Sorry!)
