Phoebe sighed softly at Tsura's response, "You've already beaten her quite well, and she hasn't lost her concentration. Pyschopaths rarely feel pain, among otherthings. She's smart." She said, shifting slightly, Phoebe studied Penelope, once more giving Jasper a nod.
"Which means we have to be smarter"
Phoebe pondered that a moment, trying to work it through. What a good distraction would be, she had an idea, but...it would be tricky. She glanced about, looking for Flora, the small plant minion, thinking she could use the small organic creature in this.
Many things happened at once, not all of them Kyle was happy with and not all of them Kyle hated. He liked how everyone of his classmates acted and reacted, althought the fighting was maybe a little painful to watch. Yes he did in fact try to fight Penelope, but to be honest his heart wasnt in it. He couldnt react fast enough when his captor was getting beat up, so when Phoebe and everyone calmed down Kyle stood up and walked over to Penelope. He picked her up, holding her in his arms, and set her sitting up against the wall of the jet. He was a whirlwind of emotions, and he could only imagine what he would do if this was a heat of the moment situations.
On one hand he knew they had to free themselves before someones parent broke bad and supered up to save them. On the other.......this girl had something over him. She was crazy, but a kind of alluring crazy. Suddenly he was pinged by what felt like a bubble in his head, and a familiar prescence washed over him. It felt like......Kalinda?
Kyle spoke inside his head,
"Kalinda? Is that you?"Kyle calmed himself, and rendered himself emotionally void as to not give away how conflicted he was. He may be extremely emotional, but the upside to it is he spent years learning how to master his feelings in mid mission. Courtesy of Bruce Wayne, the emotionless, logical superhero. He looked at Penelope.
"Crazy lady, maybe you should make the plane touch down. Doesnt seem like its gonna get much better for you here."Penelope seemed a little taken aback at the gentleness after such roughness. She got her feet under her, and rose, ignoring the pain she felt from the attacks, reaching up to run her fingers over her cheek, seeming to be more upset about the damage to her face then anything else. She hissed, and then laughed "Oh, you are all just so stupid! Did you forget I can hear your thoughts?
The ship is mine, and you won't get control of it!" She chuckled, turning her back on them, unafraid. "Oh, how lovely. More friends, just want I want! To open the door or not" She tilted her head, then laughed again. "I do so love a good trap though"
She went over to the controls, whistling as if she had all the time in the world, and didn't have a handful of anger youths quite ready to attack her. With a few taps of controls, she had the world outside shown on a screen, humming as she saw both the two flying figures and the jet, still in the distance. "Oh, yay! You're all such good bait! Although I do wish I had managed to get more of you, this makes up for it! I wonder how many they sent after you"
She rubbed her hands together gleefully, before frowning. "Ah, the gnat, such a pickle but still, should be fun" She smiled again, and twirled back towards her captives.
"Can't talk me out of it, no matter how sweetly you do it! My plane, my rules. You can't get out!" She laughed, and clapped her hands.
Phoebe frowned over the whole thing, but she used it to her advantage, finding she could search for the plant minion, sure she had been taken with Tsura. Her eyes roamed over the cabin, a few times, before finally landing on the small green shape. She reached out slightly, making a come here motion towards the small creature, and gently cupping her hands around it when it approached, stroking a finger down it, causing the plant minio to shiver. She smiled, and whispered a few words, the plant minion seeming to change shape just slightly as she did so.
She set it down, watching it move about the cabin quickly on its plant legs, with each step the small creature became not quite so small. There was always a way around boundaries, and Phoebe was glad she had kept the minion alive, and that Tsura had taken such good care of it so far.
Kyle leaned against the wall and snapped his fingers at Penelope to get her attention. He reaised his eyebrow.
"Hun for real, we're the good guys. Your the bad guy, at the moment. Good guys always win. And when we dont, we destroy reality and get a do over. Or heroes from an alternate reality come over and help us win. Seriously. Read a book, play a video game. Kyle chuckled and stood up straight. He walke dforward towards Penelope, making sure her attention was on him so he made several hand gestures as he spoke.
"I mean I am all for fun and games, but it isnt too late. You could always come to the academy, work with us instead of against us. Or......your right even that would be TOO crazy. I mean cmon you would truly need to be insane to do that."Kyle winked jokingly at Penelope.
"Or are you the bad guys and am I the good guy? its all about perception!" Penelope laughed, "I've trained for this for years, I'm not going to give up!" Penelope pushed Kyle away as he came closer, "I'm crazy, but I'm not stupid. Not gonna let sweet words sway me, so you may as well give up"
She moved around Kyle, "Oh, how lovely! Such turmoil, I like it" She chuckled, and one had to wonder if she was hearing or seeing things no one else could. Walking around her captives, she stopped in front of Tsura, and may have done something, if the minion hadn't suddenly sprouted five feet and wrapped itself around Penelope, and essentially tying itself around her.
"HEY! NO FAIR! GET YOUR LEAFY DOG OFF ME!" She cried out, trying to fight her way out but it seemed to make it harder.
Phoebe shook her head, going over the control panels, she frowned, pressing a button, but nothing happened. "She's got it passcoded or something." She glanced up at the screen, "And lucky enough that's a Stark Jet. Connor is good at hacking" She looked up at a soft thunk on the planes roof, "Oh, maybe we should...move away and duck"
Kyle made several mistakes. His first mistake was trying to warn Penelope of the impending plant minion. He did not say anything out loud, but he noticed what was going to happen and nearly shouted for Penelope to watch out. He held himself back but became nervous. When she started struggling Kyel walked over to Phoebe. As she told everyone to duck and move, Kyle stuck to the wall but still spoke to Phoebe.
"Hey cousin, maybe we can make the plant minion not be so constricting. You could seriously hurt Penelope."Phoebe glanced over at Kyle, a little troubled at his behaviour. "You'd think I'd kill someone? The minion won't cause any damage." She glanced over to the struggling Penelope and Minon, "Although I do wonder how much Tsura has put into her..." Phoebe normally dispelled the minions after she was done with them, but she hadn't this one, making it uncharted territory for her.
"Still. She won't be hurt. She hasn't done anything seriously bad. We're all alive and unhurt, although I'm still annoyed at not being able to use my powers fully"
She glanced up at a grinding noise on the roof, "Don't be too soft, Kyle. Penelope's mind control is stronger then we knew." She shifted, approaching the trapped Penelope. She reached out to touch the plant minion, and it began to move slightly, tightening its grip around Penelope's hands, and legs, but leaving her torso free, making breathing easier. She didn't bother asking for the codes to the controls.
"Let me go, damn it!" Penelope said, "this isn't how its suppose to go!"
"Plans often go wrong, Penelope. Don't struggle, and you won't hurt yourself"
Above, Kalinda was trying to pry open the joints between the planes panels, but it proved more difficult then using her empathy. She'd blocked herself off, for now, to concentrate on what she was trying to do, the jet getting ever closer.
Finally, she felt some give, and poured on more telekinetic power, pushing against the weakness, she began to pull the panal away.
As Penelope struggled, Kyle felt a pang of sadness. He almost started to go over and try to help her when he heard the groaning of metal appear. Then Kyle felt another familiar wave pass through his body, like when the mental note was struck insid ehis head. Kyle decided, it must be Kalinda. She was here! Kyle suddenly felt a pang of guilt but easily dismissed it. He hadnt done anything wrong, and his own thoughts were his own. Kyle looked at Pheobe.
"Kalinda is here. Looks like from the screen more of our friends are here as well."Meanwhile, at the end of the plane Clyde was holding on for dear life. He had a sword stuck in the plane and he held on as the plane flew. This was way more fun than he thought was possible. He had gotten ont he stark jet, and he had stayed out of sight and out of mind while he was
there. No point in getting too cozy, he was planning on befriending anyone here. When they got close Clyde dug out from the back of the plane a pair of metal shoes and gloves and put them on. He had manage to steal a glitchy pair of iron man gauntlets and boots, and manage to sneak them on the plane.
When they got close, Clyde snuck out of the plan without alerting the others and flew towards the enemy plane. he landed on the back of the plane, but suddenly the iron man equipement short circuited and shot out a small burst of power propelling him back. Clyde yelled, throwing out a knife attacked to a rope and it stuck in the plane. He pulled himself to the plane, and stuck his sword in the plane so he had something to hold on to. Clyde pulled out a second sword and used both of them to climb to the top of the plane. When he was atop the plane, he used his swords to cut a hole into the plane and dropped inside. Hopefully the target would try to read his mind, his crazy fractured mind.
Things seemed to go to hell all at once, or so it seemed to Phoebe. It was an instinctive reaction that when Penelope seemed to...Phoebe wasn't entirely too sure what she did, but suddenly she had a dagger. In that moment, fear not only for her friends, but for her minion, she broke the control, and the minion released Penelope, just before the dagger sliced up to try and cut its right arm.
Light opened overhead, there was a thunk as someone landed inside the plane, and Phoebe glanced up, but the fact that she saw Kalinda threw her a moment. If it hadn't been her that had landed in the plane, who did?
In that moment of confusion, the glint of light on the dagger seen out the cornor of her vision as she stumbled back, towards Tsura, towards her fellow students, "Stop her!" She cried out to the minion, but it was too late.
The dagger wasn't aimed at any of them, and for a brief moment, Phoebe felt relieved, but in the next, she cried out, once more too late. The dagger flipped end over end.
Letting the panel fly free, Kalinda glanced up to Griffin, just about to call the boys down, seeing the jet now quite close, seeing a panel open on the jet, but that was it. Bursts of emotions overwhelmed her a moment, and she swallowed, drawing a breath to try and control herself, but all at once it seemed like her senses were on high alert.
She flinched, leaned move towards the boys then the inside of the plane, and that would be what saved her. The dagger embedded itself in her right side, instead of her left. She gave a muffled sort of cry, feeling herself starting to slide off the side of the plane, but unable to stop it, suddenly weak all over.
