Seeing Phoebe being reunited with her parents, Light decided to step back and let the family bond. Light really couldn't understand what Tsura was saying, and nodded. "Yeah I dunno why they kidnapped the two of us either. We weren't related to this whole batman thing. Oh well"

As the day ended, students went back to their dorms until the next day. Some stayed with their friends, some like Light, went back to their dorm alone. But today was an interesting day. Really though why was she kidnapped? Heck, Light didn't know much about Phoebe til today so it wasn't because Light was her friend, so... Well that was a thought for another time.

She got up early the next day. Maybe she could meet her friends before today's assembly? Though it was kinda weird how school went on as normal after all these things keep happening. "Life of a hero!" she said to herself. It was really enjoyable all around, no dull moments for her!

"Heh, thanks. Though I've had some test runs with Archie back home. Those ended with dad having to replace more than a few parts." Walter says to Connor after Connor thanked Walter for his handling of the jet. When the jet had landed, Walter quickly called for a cab, then drove home, exhausted.

When he arrived home, his father and mother were there, acting casual which meant that they didn't hear about the mission. Good. Walter told them about his day (well, nix the part about him going on a rescue mission and landing a jet), ate dinner, then went upstairs and collapsed in bed. That was quite an eventful first day... And if it was only a fraction of what was to come, Walter already knew he wanted a lot more.

The next day, Walter went about his usual schedule of getting up, getting dressed in his costume (nix the mask and hat), eating, then leaving while sliding the mask and hat on. He took a taxi to school, arriving just before the start. Then, he heard the announcement: there was another assembly. Walter quickly hurried to the auditorium, looking around for Hachi, Jasper, Light, and the others in his group, which he supposed were his 'friends' now, even though he had just met most of them yesterday. Then again, dangerous missions do help bonding...

Kalinda found herself alone in the hospital ward when she woke, her knife wound bandaged, and finding it easier to breath, she glanced about her, before sliding into the shadows, sure she wouldn't be allowed to leave if she asked, and made her way out of the infirmary. She rubbed her shoulder lightly, grimacing, as she slid back out of the shadows. She found herself feeling ill, tired, and a little heart sick, as she slowly made her way to the cafeteria, not even sure if she would be able to eat anything, but knowing that she should, to at least keep her strength up, she didn't particularly feel like interacting with anyone-or rather making the first move. She grabbed some toast, one of those small things of butter, jam, and approached a table.

Connor looked about his room, which had, effectively, been transformed into a command centre-or thats what it looked like. Like the Star trek's command centre, it had a curved U like centre of computers, and other such things, a small versiont hat Connor could sit at and do a mulitude of things on. Which, so far, had been playing video games.

His bed was rumpled, having not made it, he was dressing, and approaching the command centre, he sat down, running his hands over the keys, he quickly set up a few searches, before starting out at the announcement.

Hachi was still a bit weak but his ankle was better. Jasper and Hachi made their way to the assembly...though Jasper seemed a touch quoted then usual. Possibly due to see his brother pass out with blood spilling from his nose. He still looked forward to the day though.

Both brothers made it to the seats and sat next to each other. It seemed they were more willing to have their friends come to them should anyone spot them.

Cole strode toward the assembly with confidence pouring from him in waves. For once he did not have a suit jacket on nor a vest. He was however, wearing all black in the form of a button up and trousers. The button up was not fully buttoned and exposed some of his chest. The only stand out part about his outfit was those white gloves he seemed keen on wearing. He strode past several girls and chuckled as they seemed to swoon. He made his way to a seat and sat with an amused look in his eyes.

Kassy, Kijani and Jin all started out toward the assembly. Kijani spotted Connor and quickly took the seat beside him. She looked worn but happy; her paper plane worked but to keep it together make her exhausted beyond measure.

Kassy shyly sat near the back, uncertain about what was happening. She figured the others would want to sit with their friends, and so she sat alone and nibbled at the roasted kelp she'd bought for breakfast.

Jin looked around for her sister before getting distracted by something new. She'd found one of her old model kits from her childhood and was consumed with trying to restore a miniature motorcycle.

Griffin made his way to to the assembly. He didn't want to go but he knew that he had to. He need to know what the plan was. He hated crowds though. Usually Zack attended things like this. But he wasn't ready to allow his brother out. It was too risky. Too much had happened in a short period of time. He was on edge. He headed to the back of the room where there were few people that he had to deal with.

Kalinda ate her toast walking to the gym, but she avoided going near anyone. Upset, still a little unstable, and hurting, Kalinda would have prefered to find somewhere quite where she could just be by herself. The previous days events had left her...empty? And on high alert. Every emotion seemed heightened, but it wasn't just that.

There were strange, mixed emotions swirling around her. Almost...dull, but still powerful. Different...as she dropped crumbs walkng, there was sparks of excitement, flashes of adrenaline, and she'd heard flutters of wings.

Bemused, Kalinda moved to the back of the Gym, avoiding anyone and everyone, not wanting to risk touching anyone.

Connor looked over to Kijani and smiled, glad she seemed okay, if a little tired. Perhaps there was another way for her to build her paper planes...he thought on that a moment, but his thoughts were broken as Bruce Wayne approached the centre of the stage.

Bruce looked over the students, unable to not feel guilty for what he had agreed to. Giving a soft sigh, Bruce started to speak. "After recent events, and quite a length of arguments and debates, its has been decided that, as we teachers are unable to do so due to the pact, that you students shall take jobs. There will be, of course, regulations to up hold, and we will be there if needed" he started, pausing to see the students reactions.

Kassy offered up a shy smile to the girl who'd sat close to her. She didn't look quite well - really tired, possibly ill. After rumaging around in her bag, she offered another roll of dried kelp. "...um... do you need something to eat?"

The other person who'd sat down was much more intimidating. But she offered him a roll too, just in case. It would be rather hypocritical of her if she ignored someone who looked scary. "You too?"

Kijani flashed Connor a little smile, but before she could talk to him, Bruce Wayne was on stage. Even though he wasn't Batman anymore, Kijani had a healthy amount of fear for their school headmaster. His annoucement caused her mouth to fall wide open, and she was silent for a moment before raising her hand. She didn't wait to be called on; fear be damned.

"Wait, wait, are you telling me we're going to be heroes? That we have to be? Shall implies that we're going to do this whether we want to or not!"

Light was one of the first arrivals to the assembly, but because of that she got lost in the crowd of students and had no opportunity to look for her newfound friends. After the room had filled, the principe Bruce got on the stage and said his regrets about what happened yesterday. And after that told the students that they'd get... jobs? Light had never really had a job before. She wondered if he meant making the students part time heroes, or if it was some kinda office 9-5 thing. If it was the latter... well... Light didn't mesh well with boring stuff like that.

Bruce turned his gaze to Kijani, letting silence fall, he waited. And waited. Before he said "Ah. You will find that the jobs offered are...well of either nature. We don't descrimate, as you well know Miss Ryane. Our job here is not to steer you onto one course, or the other, but to train you, so you don't make the same mistakes that we did, and damage things too badly they can't be healed.

Many of you know of the contract, the pact. That was designed to bring about people, and to prevent further destruction of cites, towns, buildings, parks, and in general the world itself. We left the world scared with out battles, and we do not wish to see our children to the same.

We can teach you a lot, we can give you simulations here, but eventually you will need on the job training. Thats what these jobs are for. Real life simulations, and the jobs taken will be either real jobs, or you will be tasked with villianous tasks, and yes, there will be jobs to counter those-so you may end up fighting your classmates. We expect there to be no loss of life.

You need training out in the real world, and that is what you shall get. You are expected to do everything for yourselves. Research. Plan. And apprehand your targets, complete your goals. And learn, learn what it is to fight out there in the real world. Learn what it is to be by yourself, to work as a team, to do what needs to be done.

The Jobs will be offered each week, and you will be expected to work around your classes-at least the mandatory classes, and make up what work you miss for the others. This is your chance to find out which role suits you. It is your chance to decide what type of hero, what type of villian you wish to be. It is your chance to further yourselfs, so that you don't come back injuried, so you don't go out there your first day after graduation and burn yourselves out. its your chance to find your limitiations, to learn your strengths, to grow. We do not discriminate here.

Griffin turned his attention to the small girl that held something out to him. He raised an eyebrow at her. He could smell her fear. She wasn't sure if she could trust him or not. But despite her fear she offered him a ... well he didnt know it was. It smelled like the ocean. He carefully took the green thing. "That you little one. That is very kind of you." He told her softly before he turned his attention to Batman and the announcement of jobs. He had mixed feelings about taking a job in the real world. They would need the "on the job" training. But it would be dangerous.

Cole had looked a bit...upset at the job simulations. i have work to do here. he was working in his mind what to do with it. And then Bruce spoke once more. He raised a brow and shook his head. that would blow all my plans his carefully conceived plans.

No he would not be practicing villainy. That would be too easy. A small smile bloomed on his face as a new plan slowly took form. Why do what's expected when you can do what's unexpected

Hachi and Jasper looked absolutely thrilled. Real jobs! How cool was that. They could practice being heros and really get into it. Jasper was grinning while Hachi looked happy but it was hard to tell.

Kijani listened intently, completely focused on what was being said. Once Principal Wayne was done, she spoke up. "That answers all of my questions but one. What if..." Her voice failed her briefly, and she looked off. "...what if we don't want to... to choose a side? What if we don't want to do any of it?"

Katherin wasn't happy about this new development. She didn't feel like she had enough control over her power to take a job. She didn't like the idea of taking a job and hurting someone because she couldn't control her power. She underwhelming they were allowing them to take jobs. But she wasn't sure that them taking jobs was a good idea. All she could think about was all the ways this could go very very badly.

"Then you don't have to" Bruce said simply, "We aren't goign to pressure you to choose a side, but it is recommended that you try your skills, it is an excellent training opportunirty, but again, we won't force you. There are other ways, other skills. Intelligence, for one thing. If that is all..." Bruce glanced about to see if there would be any other questions.

Phoebe counted it as a win, that this had gone on ahead. Smiling to herself, Phoebe quickling found Katherin, knowing that her friend had a little trouble believing in herself, Phoebe said to her "We could team up together, if you'd like. We've always done well together"

Light was excited at this whole 'job' thing. It meant that she had some leverage and could go to places without people looking at her weird or flat out running away. She looked for other people with as much joy about the whole thing as her, and found the two furry brothers being almost as enthusiastic as her. Approaching the pair from the back, she hung on the two, one in each arm. "Hey, wanna see if we can find another person and make some kind of monster or furry squad?" She said with a laugh.

A job.
Walter didn't know what to made of that. On one hand, money for days. On the other, stress leads to hair loss. He could do without that. But hey, he had to get a job to stay in the school, so oh well. Besides, the hat and mask hid his hair so he could deal with it. After weighing the pros and cons, and figuring he was only on his second day so it'd make him look lazy if he dropped out, Walter sighed and leaned against a wall, crossing his arms and not saying anything as he watched his classmates talk amongst themselves about this new development.

Once the assembly was completed they dismissed to go to class. Griffin waited while other filed out of the room. He wasn't in any hurry to get to Mimic's class. He was too on edge to be comfortable with being around someone who could copy powers. He figured he would wait until the gym was empty to leave. He didn't want to deal with the crowd as everyone tried to get out of the gym at once. Besides he wanted to think some more on these new jobs that would be open to them now.

Kalinda slipped into the shadows as the assembly was over, not wanting to be near people any longer then she had to be, she wondered if she could ditch power development. Her shoulder hurt, and she felt like one touch would send her off her rocker, the students emotions seemed to be hightened, and she shook slightly with the effort not to lose control. Surely that was cause to ditch class? She moved through the shadows out of the gym, and watched the students trotting off to their classes. Feeling a little sick, Kalinda scanned the crowd, unable to shake the paranoid feeling that they were being watched.

If you're out there, you physcotic witch, I will find you. I owe you for the pain you have caused me she thought to herself, and potentially Penelope if the piece of slime was listening in on her thoughts.

She shimmered back into existance as the crowd thinned, still having not made a decision at what to do.

Cole watched the crowd as it became time to go to class. He stood and slipped his gloved hands into his pockets his attention now snagged by a girl who shimmered back into existence. He teleported to get to her before she shimmer again and faced the same direction making sure to stand side by side.
"Are you well?" that curiosity on how she would react to his....predicament of irritability was there like always.

Hachi and Jasper turned to look at light. Jasper had a grin. "I think a group a three would work just fine" Jasper beamed and Hachi looked like he was about to say something but it was then time to go. Hachi and Jasper made their way out amongst the throng of students with Jasper giving a wave as he went.
