(IM BACK BITCHES - DID THIS SHITE WITH CAITS)
Kyle opened his eyes. He was lying in a room, his room, but he was not sure how he arrived here. He slowly got up, immediately regretting his decision feeling his muscles scream. Kyle walked over to his window and opened the blinds. He shielded his eyes, wondering what the hell could have happened. How much time had passed. The last thing he remembered was that crazy chick, the plane, and........Kalinda! Kyle almost felt like he was punched in the face. What happened to her? Last thing he remembered she was hurt pretty bad. Kyle went over to his bathroom and washed his face and hair really quick, then walked over and changed clothes. He decided on wearing a dark blue V neck shirt with blue jeans and black vans. Kyle grabbed his wallet and phone and then headed out. He needed to find Kalinda, that was where he needed to go. But where?
Kyle spent quite a bit of time looking for Kalinda. At first it was because of how sore he was. His muscles were still conditioned which suprised Kyle, but he had not used them in awhile and explosive movement cause him pain. He was overfilled with emotions. Kyle first climbed his way to the rooftops, searching for Kalinda. Maybe she was hiding up there, Kyle thought. But to no avail. Kyle climbed down slowly then walked to the cafeteria. Kyle grabbed a dozen snack bars, pocketing half and chewing on the other half. It was more than a few minutes before he realized he forgot what he came there to do. Kalinda wasnt there either.
Kyle walked over to the gym, and he almost immediately saw her. He knew to look in the back of anywhere he looked, Kalinda liked the back of places. Better to avoid people. Kyle saw her and his heart skipped a bit. He pushed past anyone he was in front of him, and stumbled a bit still pretty sore. He got back up, walked a bit more, then fell right in front of Kalinda. He got up slightly, resting on one knee right in front of Kalinda.
"W-we-well yea no I mean,"Kyle took a moment to calm himself then flashed a smile.
"Hey Pretty Shadow."Looking up at the familiar emotions, Kalinda felt a million times better. Managing a small smile, she reached out to him, touching him. She breathed out a slow sigh of relief. The turmoil of emotions seemed to disappear, replaced by his, fading most of the other emotional noise to the back. "Hey" she said softly, colour flushing her pale cheeks, and she didn't feel so much like she was going to explode anymore. "I was hoping you would find me" her voice dropped slightly. She couldn't describe how much better she felt. It was...like she was no longer being attacked by thousands of needles.
She curled her fingers around his, breathing in slowly and letting it out just as slowly. "I felt like I was going to explode" she breathed out. "Which would have been bad" the last time that had happened, Kalinda had barely gotten away from people. Her telekinetic powers would have wrecked havoc.
"I escaped the infirmary, couldn't stand it there. But couldn't get to you"
Kyle held Kalinda's hand gently but firmly, so happy she was here with him right now. He tried to keep his emotions in check, tried to calm himself but he couldnt. He was just so damn relieved. But after a moment he was able to tear his eyes away from her eyes, and checked the rest of her out. Not in a bad way but this was the first time he was able to see Kalinda was hurt. Then her words rang in his ears. Kyle tried to focus as best as he could but he still wasnt up to one hundred percent.
"What the hell happened? Last thing I remember was that crazy pyscho chick tearing up the plan. I remember.....you were hurt......then I seemed to have blacked out. I just woke up in my room......well ok like half an hour ago but like just woke up can be a relative term,"Kyle said slightly speaking a little too fast.
Kyle raised his left hand and gently brushed her cheek.
Kalinda was just relieved that Kyle was there, and she knew he was trying to calm his emotions, but it didn't matter. Being able to focus on him was more then enough. It stabilized her, and she felt all the stronger for it. "She got lucky. Threw a dagger, and it punched through my chest, I guess it punctured a lung. Lucky it didn't hit my heart" she said, reaching up with her free hand to run her fingers over the wound, that she could feel under her clothes. "Probably thought I was a goner. Too tough to give up that easily" Kalinda said, giving him a smile, "I don't know what happened to you...maybe you did too much? I'm glad you're okay" she said, keeping her gaze on him, she sighed.
"We have to go to class. There was this big assembly. Wayne's letting us go on missions and things" she said, reluctant to move
Kyle's eyebrows narrowed and gently helped Kalinda up, still in a little pain. Kyle smiled and sighed, partly to release some pain sounds and partly because he knew more things were going to be afloat and it was going to be dangerous. Kyle wrapped his arms around Kalinda and pulled her into a soft an embrace.
"Alright but lets go slowly ok? And....you know....."Kyle blushed slightly.
"You...you should hold on to me. You know? Not let go. Cause your hurt and I am sore."Kyle took a moment to think about the fact they could go on missions.
"And I better be your missionb partner when you go on missions."Kalinda smiled, finding she needed the hand up, and she leaned against him, almost trying to touch him anywhere she could, keeping that contact. She slid her arm around him, and nodded "alright. We'll help each other" she said, her voice becoming stronger and her steps were sure.
"Of course you will be my partner" she said beaming up at him, "I wouldn't have it any other way, Kyle" she said, leading the way to Mimic's class
Kyle walked hand in hand and arm around each other with Kalinda. He was glad he could remember his way around the school, walking his way to Mimics class.
"So Mimic.......wow I almost forgot other people exist besides you."Kyle winked at Kalinda.
"But seriously, I wonder how everyone else has been. Oh...yea what has Mimic been teaching lately? Does it have anything to do with the missions we are allowed to go on now?""the normal" kalinda said with a shrug, "We didn't really do anything...I think he's more interested in making sure we know what we need to...i don't know, be ready'' kalinda shrugged, wanting to actually blow off the lesson, but she'd been doing that too much lately, "I think we can choose the mission, and prepare, do everything. They can't help, cause of the contract, but there was the underlying meaning that if we do get in trouble, they'd pull our butts out of it" She said, "I think everyones been okay...Mostly been avoiding people"
Kieran laughed off the uneasy feeling he had.
"Yea but you know who says we are gonna get in trouble? With my natural "Boy Wonder" skills and your cuteness, we dont need to worry about failing again anytime soon........"They were almost to Mimics class, just down the hall, when Kyle stopped them. He looked Kalinda in the eyes. He felt the heat rising in his chest and cheeks, and was worried he was going to stutter or fall down.
"By the way...I am glad your ok. Not dead I mean."Kiyle leaned forward and kissed Kalinda quickly on the lips.
Kalinda giggled, nodding, "We'll be fine" She agreed, "We'll have planning this time" She said, looking to him when they stopped, smiling.
"I'm glad-" She started to say, before he kissed her. She responded, smiling, "Um. Glad you're okay, too" She finished, the wash of her own emotions flowing through her distracting, enjoying them.
Kyle didnt plan on doing that, and he didnt know what future had in store with these missions, but they had known each other for such a short time and they had both nearly died already. He wasnt ready to settle down yet, but he at least wanted Kalinda to know that he cared. Plus he would probably feel sad if anyone else kissed her, but she wasnt that kind of girl. Kyle held her hand as they walked into Mimics class, greeted by Mimic.
"Hey Teacher man, thanks. Ive got my partner right here though."Kyle squeezed Kalindas hand and walked away from Mimic, choosing two adjacent seats.
Kalinda kept ahold of Kyle's hand, even when they sat, needing, wanting the contact. She didn't want to lose control, not today, not then. She leaned forward on the desk, getting some support from it, listening to Mimic, barely.
