[OOC] Pokemon Gijinka [Always Accepting!]

Go ahead. As awesome as a third pokemon would be at the moment Gredy would rather strengthen the pokemon that he has rather then pick up a third right away.

No problem, I shall work on a Togepi to work alongside Seth. I'm positively giddy with excitement.

This is a first draft, because chances are good that there's either something I've missed, or somebody reads this and has a great idea that I'd missed. If this is fine, and works for everyone, hooray. If not, naturally, I'm happy to tweak things, rewrite things and just generally reconsider everything in order to make it fit in better with the game.

A Wild Togepi Appears!

Age: "Really super old, a total grown-up," apparently. Looks closer to twelve.
Gender: Female.
Height: 5' 1"
Weight: "A gentleman never asks and a lady never tells. Light as a feather. A feather! A feather."
Hair Color: Blonde.

Type: Fairy
Visual Appearance: It's only fair that I link it, seeing as it's not my drawing and they deserve the credit!

Written Appearance: Wears an oversized crown made out of stiff card painted with gold. Carries an equally oversized scepter to really nail that whole "royal" look, even though the scepter looks like it's been constructed out of a curtain rod and an inflatable ball before being attacked with red and blue paint.

Personality: Dangerously cheerful, rather playful, quite outspoken. Pretty convinced that everyone's a friend just waiting to be made. Enjoys playing games, and enjoys dragging other people into these games even more. Despite professing that she's independent and capable and doesn't need help thank you very much, she's constantly looking for an excuse for companionship. Occasionally gets quite grumpy about this.

You absolute madman. I've never done it, I've just sheepishly watched other people suffer their way through the Hot & Cold sidequest-minigame-thing. I mostly end up replaying it because there's something about the setting and it harking back to the more fantasy elements of Final Fantasy that I really liked. And the music. And the characters. And the fact my brother accidentally scratched up the CDs when I was younger, so for the longest time, we never got past the first disc, so playing through the start of the game reminds me of spending time with him on the sofa back home.

I am pretty sure the dex is up to us to decide how literally are we taking it.
And as far as obedience goes, I think Hero said once that we can play it how ever we want. That we dont have to listen to the trainer if we dont want to. That we can try to run away, or make their lives harder.... *points to Kaiser Thore* He a level one and didnt listen to Rasa during the fight most of the time, and now as you can see even attacking his trainer. He has his reasons and logic to do so.

But I will let Hero confirm this.

Than we have Togepi with staff 12
And the oldest Shinx 15 He is basically going to be a older brother figure.

I cannot wait for Togepi to be lv5 and learn metronome. The potential Zorua will see in that move.

@Saltwater ThiefSorry if my post kinda messed you up a bit, but as I was writing I kinda realized that Jaden's sense of honor wouldn't let him just allow Seth to follow him, and while I was thinking of having him send on of his pokemon to contact the police, it'd make things a bit overly-complex and wouldn't make sense given that he's kinda paranoid about them right now(and will continue to be for quite sometime afterwards).

Not until Celadon City. As for Egg moves, no. It made the RP more complicated.

I don't know what you mean by your first question. The Pokedex in this RP allows a trainer to identify a Pokemon they never seen before. People are making their Pokemon's personality however they want.

The gym badges show the Pokemon that your trainer isn't some push-over. As the Pokemon grow stronger, they'll grow a little rebellious. The trainer has to keep up with their Pokemon's increase in strength. It's like having those types of dog breeds that need a dominant master/alpha. If you're a crummy trainer, then your dog will make you the bitch.

@Holy SoldierI think they mean the Pokedex descriptions, since they tend to be a bit out there from time to time in how they describe the powers and abilities of each pokemon(like Gardevoir being able to create Black Holes and Mega-Alakazam's being able to see a person's entire life, from birth to death, just by looking at them.)

Is there anything I can do to help on this front? Beyond ressuring you that we'll be awesome, it just might take Togepi a little while to get there.

After all, didn't I read some great trainer say something about the importance of the journey over the destination? I'm pretty sure I remember reading that!

@Holy Soldier Raijin was dead on what I meant, but yeah when I asked that I wanted to know if we as players would have access to the abilities and powers that are described in a pokemon's Pokedex entry. I was unsure because some of the abilities and their descriptions tend to be a bit... overkill at times i.e (Garchomp travelling at speeds that rival jet planes), and most of them never really have any function in the games.

@Hylozoist nah, it's not your fault. And really it just adds a complication in Togepi won't be able to get battle exp except under certain circumstances until she either evolves, hits lv 33, or we hit Celadon, whichever comes first.
