Well, mostly he has been calling people worthless the entire time. And when the nearby Felinid friend offered to 'help' find him a regulation fit suit - he simply blowed them both off, to get drunk with his people and go scavenge from dead soldiers whom had served the Emperor proudly.

Showing that, he is going to get killed shortly with that attitude - via his overconfidence against a xeno, failure to cooperate with his fellow Guardsmen, or BLAMed for breaking Imperial Protocol and Code of Conduct, also threatening a superior officer.

I even asked, if a religious angle would work on him. If John is going to play the ass without any angle to approach him - then like RL asses he will be ignored and left in the ditch.

Well that's the thing, I'm trying to go for the hard-ass, that keeps his feelings/thoughts to himself. I.e. He storms out of the scene with khaz like a tough guy but is probably crying about what was said to him. He also feels alone/friendless and berated needlessly on all sides and is super defensive about everything now. It's also pretty depressing to admit your purpose is to die. This was supposed to be revealed IC but oh well.

See... the thing is that he isn't coming across as a tough guy. He is coming off as a man who is dangerously deranged who thinks he could fight and kill everyone around him without repercussions or consequence. He honestly threatened to open fire with a heavy bolter on Khaz and his surviving peers if Khaz refused a fist fight. Can you see why Khaz thinks very poorly of him?

Not much Marcus can do at the moment, I was thinking that my next post would be at the 0500 meeting, but it seems to be taking a while. I might do something quickly with him for the sake of character development (probably have him wake up or something, some time before the meeting) if these conversations take a while. Might even be able to open him up to interactions with the others if ever I do that, heh. For now I'll wait as the IC night passes by.
