@AristoJust a random idea, but would you find something like a "critical failure" (as in you roll a 1 or something) plausible/feasible for this RP? Just a carry over from DnD that I think might be mildly amusing.
Perhaps; a 6 and anything under is an outright failure, but the degree of failure is mostly dependent on what's happening in the fiction. Maybe I could whip up something drastic on a double 1.
I'd say the most compelling prospect of Ajaxi was that I didn't know what to expect from the character. Jitters and huge, precise hammer aside I hope Solis comes into her own as a character--I'd hate for her to end up a carbon copy of an established character like Harley.
On a lighter note, Looking forward to @Grey and @Leoven to join the fray with their own CSs. Fingers crossed my brightly dressed foreigner doesn't end up the least outlandish character on the roster.

She was literally a blank slate and was more or less going to stay a blank slate with little more than "I'm a fighter with a sword"; she had absolutely nothing going for her besides very, very generic character traits and was about as compelling as a toaster. I don't find that compelling.
That said, now I'm thinking of redoing my character entirely, again.
1) Do I have to take a weapon from the ones on the CS?
2) Can I use a gong as a weapon?
EDIT: I've also now finished my Bard.
1) To keep things running smoothly, I'd like to keep them as they are, unless you have a substitute in mind that fits the same weapon tags. A shortsword, axe, warhammer and mace all have the close tag and a weight of 1, for example.
2) You could improvise, sure; just be aware that a gong may not be ideal against every mook you encounter. In keeping with DW's fiction first mentality, it probably won't do you much good one-on-one against a fully-armored knight, but might knock somebody out if you get the drop on him.

1) More or less my idea, I was thinking of of the gong having the "stats" of a mace or something like that.
2) Don't worry, that's more or less what I'm thinking, hoping to confuse/scare the shit out of someone as they see a madman with a gong charging at them spouting poetry.
Also, when I say gong, what comes to mind for you? Like a small hand gong or a larger, shield like gong?
When you first mentioned it, I was imagining something like this:
Not exactly puny or huge; maybe a foot across. Solid enough you could bash somebody over the head with the flat, or with sufficient force, cleave with the rim. If you had to, it might work as an improv buckler.
You sing the healing songs of spring and brook. When you make camp, you and your allies heal +1d6.
Born of the Soil
You learned your magic in a place whose spirits are strong and ancient and they’ve marked you as one of their own. No matter where you go, they live within you and allow you to take their shape. Choose one of the following. It is the land to which you are attuned—when shapeshifting you may take the shape of any animal who might live in your Land.
By Nature Sustained
You don’t need to eat or drink. If a move tells you to mark off a ration just ignore it.
Spirit Tongue
The grunts, barks, chirps, and calls of the creatures of the wild are as language to you. You can understand any animal native to your land or akin to one whose essence you have studied.
Shapeshifter
When you call upon the spirits to change your shape, roll+Wis. On a 10+ hold 3. On a 7–9 hold 2. On a miss hold 1 in addition to whatever the GM says.
You may take on the physical form of any species whose essence you have studied or who lives in your land: you and your possessions meld into a perfect copy of the species’ form. You have any innate abilities and weaknesses of the form: claws, wings, gills, breathing water instead of air. You still use your normal stats but some moves may be harder to trigger—a housecat will find it hard to do battle with an ogre. The GM will also tell you one or more moves associated with your new form. Spend 1 hold to make that move. Once you’re out of hold, you return to your natural form. At any time, you may spend all your hold and revert to your natural form.
Studied Essence
When you spend time in contemplation of an animal spirit, you may add its species to those you can assume using shapeshifting.
Happy to see you on board. I'd suggest putting the Frozen North under born of the soil, or just formatting it like this:
The Great Forests The Whispering Plains The Vast Desert The Stinking Mire The River Delta The Depths of the Earth The Sapphire Islands The Open Sea The Towering Mountains The Frozen North The Blasted Wasteland
Just so that it's easier at a glance to know what lands you're attuned to. Remember, you may gain more as you level up. Also, you do need to include a 'tell' specifically tied to this move. Described as "a physical attribute that marks you as born of the soil—that reflects the spirit of your land. It may be an animal feature like antlers or leopard’s spots or something more general: hair like leaves or eyes of glittering crystal. Your tell remains no matter what shape you take."
Other than that I think the only thing you're missing is that you could add the other two bonds from the druid class, if you were so inclined. wouldn't think it mandatory though.
As for additional gear that's Aristo's call, but I feel what each class can start with is fairly balanced against each other. There'll be plenty of chances to come across a bow once we start playing I'd think.
@LeovenThere's a poultices and herbs option, if you want medicinal herbs. Your antitoxins could also just be medicinal herbs in the fiction.
As for weapons, there'll be chances to grab specific equipment in the IC. As @Paraffin mentioned, the starting gear is pretty balanced and suited to the potential themes of the classes. If you want range, your spear has the thrown tag.
& yes, I'd like to see your Frozen North tell mentioned. Remember that when you use Shapeshifter, your form needs to be a creature that can be found in your land.
Other than that, your sheet is sound and can be added once we settle the bove!
Everybody is, for the most part, accepted, so I went ahead and got the IC up! I'm happy to have this show on the road; thanks for joining in! I hope you're all as excited as I am!
