Jiriya evaded the shurikens Matrix style and used Night Slash.

Clefable used Protect again and countered with Moonblast up close.

Jiriya took advantage of Clefable having just used Protect to fire off another Gunk Shot once the shield dropped and it used Moonblast. Gunk Shot did not connect with the Moonblast, making it possible for both Pokémon to be hit. Jiriya was and the spot where Jiriya stood was obscured by upthrown dust for a breif moment.

Clefable had gotten hit by the Gunk Shot and was left weakened and poisoned, but still standing.

When the dust cleared, Jiriya was KO'd.
"Jiriya is unable to battle, Clefable wins." The offical called out. Liam sent Hitmonchan back out and ordered a Bullet Punch.

"Clefable is unable to continue, Hitmonchan wins." The offical declared. "Since one side has lost three Pokémon, we will take a five minute intermission." Liam called Hitmonchan over and praised him for the good work. The two than went off to take a breather before returning to the stage.

Liam took a seat on his end with Hitmonchan. Once the time was up, Liam returned to his corner with Hitmonchan put back in his ball.

Chuck returned to his end as well.

The jumbo-tron was dulled during the intermission, but lit back up once both trainers were back in their boxes.
"Sceptile, its time to shine!" Liam called. Sceptile appeared on the battlefield and took a battle pose.

Sceptile was hit and knocked back, making his attack fail. Sceptile was than ordered to use Bullet Seed.

"Azriel, Reflect into Signal Beam!" Chuck called out. Alakazam lessened the attack and fired off another beam of bug energy.

"Detect!" Sceptile was able to sidestep the Signal Beam and retaliated it another spray of Bullet Seed.

"Protect!" Chuck said. A barrier surrounded Alakazam, stopping the attack.
