"Earthquake!" Goodra leapt up into the air and stomped on the ground, making it tremeble. It would do extra damage, which helped to make up for it being Not Very Effective

Golem burst out of the ground and grabbed Goodra. "Explosion!"

"No!" Liam called. But it was too late. It was a double KO.

"Neither Pokémon is able to continue. This round is a draw." The offical stated.
The MC commented that it was down to each trainer's last Pokémon, neither of whom had come out yet. It was all down to this.

Liam praised Goodra for the good try and recalled him. "Smaug! It's time to shine!" Liam's Charizard emerged as his last hope.

"The final match up is Charizard vs Blastoise. Based on type, it looks like it is over for the 'Dragon Master', but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any tricks up his sleeve." The MC said.
"Focus Blast, go!" Liam ordered.

"Muddy Water!" Chuck called.

"Iron Tail the ground!" Smaug attacked downward to make a chunk of ground jetasen upward to part the sea of dirt filled water.

"Rain Dance!" Chuck said. The Blastoise danced around a bit, causing it to rain down, powering up it's water moves, while lowering Charizard's fire moves.

"Ok, Play time's over." Liam said. He didn't want to use his ace this quickly into Smaug's battle, but felt he had no other choice. Not without taking unneeded risks at least. He activated the Megastone and made Charizard Mega evolve to Mega Charizard Y, causing intense sunlight to rain on the stadium, despite the late hour.

"Two can play that game!" Chuck said, activating his own Mega Ring, causing Blastoise to Mega Evolve to Mega Blastoise. "Dragon Pulse!" With it's Mega Launcher ability, the attack was powered up as it clashed with the Solarbeam.

The two attacks met in a stalemate.
"OK Smaug, Seismis Toss into Solarbeam!" If it went off as Liam anticiapted, Smaug would grab Zenni and soar up into the air. When he tossed Zenni toward the ground, he would fire the powerful Grass move.

"Counter with Submission!" Chuck said. When Charizard grabbed him, Blastoise grabbed him back and instead of getting thrown, he slammed Charizard to the ground, holding his head down as the Solarbeam fired off to the side. "Now, Water Pulse point blank!" Blastoise used the massive cannon on it's back to fire a blast of water right at Charizard.

Smaug roared in pain at this. He freed his head and used Fire Blast at point blank in an attempt to get Zenni off of him.

Zenni got knocked back and retaliated with an Aura Sphere.

[Mike the Bloodwolf]

Mike tapped his chin as he watched this battle, he was a little annoyed at not being able to have taken on the mega charizard himself as he had to change tactic at the end of his battle when Liam used his legendary. Rotom was taking picture of the battle so he could help Mike if he ever battled Liam again. Saahia too was watching so she could have strategies ready if she faced Liam in a contest ever again.

Shiranui was observing the battle as well, noting how their Pokémon were executing their moves.

Smaug was hit and his health was low. "Solarbeam!" Liam called. Smaug fired the Solarbeam instantanoiusly due to the intense sunlight, which was due to end soon.

"Dragon Pulse!" Chuck called out.

The attacks nulled one another as the sunlight faded. Liam knew that calling for Sunny Day would be a gamble as Smaug would not last too much longer, and that could be flushing away valueable time. "Focus Blast!"

"Rain Dance into Water Pulse!" Chuck said. Blastoise made it rain once more and fired off a powered up Water Pulse.
