But killing Winter, while I realize was necessary, has put me in a tight spot. I hate making apps, and I have no ideas.

Make a tribal. I think we need someone who could really live off the lands. Someone who knows how too cook up radscorpion venom sacks into a delicous treat, or turn a couple of knives and duct tape into a trap. We could also still use that "Smooth Talker" type.

But, you wouldn't NEED a smooth talker. We're a strike team, not Ocean's Eleven
And Winter already was both those archtypes.

Okay, I have one quirky idea since I'm sort of running low on it: You can be a robot. Enclave is creating more advance combat AI's and want to send their current field model with the Eagle Claw. A heavy weapon's platform, but more akin to mobile artillery. He'd be the guy that would shell a building to it's foundation or destroy other vehicles. Alternative: melee specialist. Master of death up close and personal. Granted, most of us are pretty deadly when in melee as it is (Whisper is a powerful berserker, Golem's got a giant axe, Lucy can create explosions with her fist, etc) but this guy can do all of that, and more. He'd be the guy who would make the most use out of throwing weapons like knives and spears, and could even begin doing feats of inhuman ability, like shooting bullets from his fists like that one electrical dude from metal gear solid 3. Honestly I'm just shooting ideas here.

Make Winter a Cyborg, if he is the guy that reminds people of his humanity he'd have some extreme existential crisis after that. Have to decide where he wants to go from there.

I can see it happening. Winter is brought in for his funeral, but lo and behold, he still lives! But in a critical state. Or perhaps his body never gets to be recovered, mysteriously vanishing from the scene (Whisper only did find one body). This could allow Winter some time to himself away from the Enclave, questioning what value the Enclave is that it would even for the NCR to resort to child soldiers. It's not that the NCR were fighting dirty either; they were becoming desperate. Enclave taking no prisoners, not even sparing the children who have no involvement with the NCR aside from just being born to parents who worked for them.

Now granted, I don't know how you want to take this path. But just know that death could not claim you. The afterlife could not take you. So now you must create your own reason to live. Perhaps you want vengeance against the world for causing to much pain. Maybe you want to make peace, seeing how hurtful it makes everyone. Just know that no matter what decision you decide to take him, I will support it.

Hmm, let me edit the post. I like this idea. Don't worry, Winter is still for all intensive purposes "Dead" to those of eagle squad. But I'll be putting more description to make it seem...believable.

EDIT 2: Glad you're loving this idea, Grav. I think every now and then we need something truly permanent to happen to our characters. Plus, if he survives through it and he ends up being mostly okay with lots of scars, he's so GETTIN SUM from whisper. Probably.
