What up friends? It's me, some guy that probably wants to create crazy fantasy worlds with you.

This is me diving back into the world of PBP roleplaying after something like a seven year gap. Way back when, I frequented a site called Gaia online, where I was charmed by the ability to be part of a dynamic story with other people, creating them together without the need for non-euclidean 11 sided dice and a dose of abstract calculus. Tabletop pen-and-paper stuff is cool, but what I truly love is character building without the restrictions of a game framework.

While I do love to write, I'm a pretty easy-going person. If I can't get my point across in six paragraphs or less, I'm going to think along a different track. If you're looking for someone to drop purple-prose laden novellas all over the place, I'm definitely not the one. I don't begrudge anyone their style, but I'm too lazy to type that much. :^)

I'm a total sucker for Modern Fantasy (HUGE Dresden Files fan), but I'm just as comfortable with High/Epic Fantasy (Rothfuss? Tolkien? Cook? Yes please). I'm also a lover of all things Horror and Spooky, and I've always found those sorts of RPs to be fun to write in.

All that said, I'm extremely excited to get to know and work with all of you! I'd love any suggestions as to where I should start, and anything involving overall etiquette you think a clueless jerk like me ought to know!

First I must say this, as I find it important to use and it's helpful and convenient in my opinion. The bottom right of each post in a thread there are two buttons a Quote button and an @mention button. Use the mention button to cleanly tag the person so they receive a notification about the post.

All I can really say about rping here is you should just look at the interest checks of whatever sub-forum you feel would be most comfortable for you and look to see what you'd like and tell them that you are interested and/or whatever they say to do on the post.

Welcome to the guild. I'm one of those people who posts a lot of content when I'm on a good day, but I've got no problem with people who post less so long as the content is good and readable. You might have an interest in my project, since the genre that it most resembles would be "contemporary fantasy", though it's a very complex and in-depth work so it's very hard to class into any one genre. Anyway, all the best.
