Jouji Kanako
"Kana~, lets go to that shop at the station again."
"Eh?" Jouji Kanako turned to her best friend, who was grinning from ear to ear. "But Rita... won't you get tired of that shop quickly if you keep on going everyday?"
"Don't worry. I won't get tired of the ice cream there!" Rita laughed, brushing off strands of her messy hair off her face. "They taste really really good, and they have a different special every week!"
There was no way Kanako could ever refuse her friend, not when the redhead was already tugging impatiently at her sleeves. Together they walked, down the road surrounded not by large buildings, but with verdant fields and the occasional houses. Cars passed rarely by, one or two, but never in large numbers, so their pleasant conversation was never interrupted for long. Today however, Rita sounded a bit melancholic, a rare sight, for she was usually loud and cheerful. However, she seemed to cheer up a little once they reached the shop, possibly due to the handmade ice cream and crepe combo they had here.
"Hold this for a moment." Rita spoke, handing Kanako two ice cream crepe cones. "Today will my treat."
Waiting for her friend to pay, Kanako glanced at a passing truck, before turning back at the grim figures and some others sitting at a dinner table. Ah, Rita's going to be mad at me, was her first thought, before finally registering the situation she was in. Kanako was no longer at the station, she was seated here with some imposing figures and a few others that wasn't, and she was still holding onto the ice cream cones in both hands. She tried to force out something, some words to say, but could only manage a single word in her shock.
"Eh?"
