Yes, I think more tension would be useful. Like, if the characters were on a timetable, or they had to "get there in time" for something, there's be more motivation.

I'll keep that in mind. ;)

Does the story need improvement as well? I was wondering if maybe the hype was lost because it wasn't what you were expecting.

Well I believe the 'burn out' effect is kicking in here. That is to say over time you start to lose interest in something but you need to give it time to build. That being said, I believe that the last event did have something to do with part of the burn out effect. Honestly the only way to fix it is to let the players respark themselves and breath life into this post once more.

Rush I feel bad for jumping into this and honestly tried to salvage the Warg thing, seems things got a little messier then expect but that doesn't mean we can't fix it.

By all means we need to get some ideas flowing before the next event/city entrance, it might help re-ignite that spark once more.

Also thin: Some lore explanations wouldn't hurt. Give people some more idea about the inner workings of critical things, Magic being key, that will aid in giving people more idea's how to work it and how to stay within the realm of the Story.

Yes, I think there's a lot of potential left with Laina and I want to work on improving her as a character as well.

* Do you still find it fun?

Well...Halfish. The posts are very detailed and everything is going so slow plus there's not much happening that brings up any major excitement than fight, walk, fight, walk etc. Really this RP could be so much more and I would love to see you do that.

* Is participation difficult?

For me, yes. These posts take a long time to think out and write and even then my text is really short and kind of insignificant. I'm hit with lots of Writer's Block and find myself focusing elsewhere though I do want to be a part of this but it just is hard for me.

I agree with all that has been said. After xeno was yelling about how we all stink at rping I kinda got too intimidated to do much. But more focus on character relations would certainly help things, after all who doesn't love other people paying attention to themselves?

I figured Xeno's comments might intimidate you guys. I kinda resented him doing that, not gonna lie. I think he saw us as dragging him down or something, as if his talents were wasted here. But I don't look at us that way. When I compare Xeno versus us, I don't see a good writer versus bad writers. I see a great writer (being generous here) versus good writers. Even the worst writers among us are better than half the writers I've met online. You're good at what you do, and you're only going to get better. I'm proud to stand among you. Don't let the elites get you down.

Speaking of character relations, that's precisely what this RP needs to stay alive (and something I've harped on previously). Take an interest in other player characters. We write for each other, not just for the GM. It's something I forget too sometimes, so I'll try to write more targeted and relevant posts.

Kind of? I understand that hype tends to slow down when a RP has a few posts in. It's a natural thing. It's like trying to stay excited about one thing for a long time. It's difficult to do that.

Additionally, about that comment on Character relations. Due to the fact that we were all thrown into a fight the moment we left the town, it's hard to say "We should've establish character relationships". There was no time for that to happen. Everyone was busy with figuring out the situation, looking through their chests or chasing Vert around.. And then we've been fighting the Warlock until now.

If you don't allow there to be some breathing space, I don't think you're allowed to harp on about it. That's just my two cents.

Might I add something else, regarding Xeno. He wasn't really saying that you're bad writers. He came into this RP with a certain expectation of how this RP should be run. Most casual RPs have posts with a paragraph or 2 with a good amount of lore set in place. And he was disappointed to see 'Rapid fire' posts of one sentence, even though this was advertised as 'Casual'. It had nothing to do with anyone's ability to write.

Rant aside, players should take this time to heal up and get some things off their chest because I have that wonderful feeling this an't a fight nor is it a rightfully relaxing moment. Are you really going to be able to rest will all that Adrenalin pumping and hunger setting in?
