Standing quietly, Simon nodded as the woman announced herself as Strabella to him, as well as the others in the forming group. He had partially ignored the man who spoke about having his own ship, since if they wanted to set said, the ship that they would use would have to be fair in size. Having to work with a crew just starting as pirates would mean that they'd have to word hard to earn a name for themselves, and a small ship wouldn't help them. He quietly munched on the assorted fruits as the people continued to speak, and he was pretty surprised by the people he had just met. Each of them were unique in their own way, and for a small second he had actually considered moving his infamous "Land Pirate" status to the seas where he belonged. He could help these people in their quest to become famous pirates, and a change to visit the grand line isn't something to pass up.
Simon had a small but known reputation in the village as a land pirate. He couldn't leave the village due to attachments, and even before that he wasn't the most honest person. He didn't steal or take constantly, but he did it just enough to form a reputation of it. He didn't have a bounty, which he was thankful for, but he knew that if were to ever get caught even once one would be placed on his head. Escaping from his musings, Simon looked as a new person spoke up about not becoming pirates. It was a pretty foolish thing to say to the ninja-child, since his youthful fire wasn't going to be put out so easily. Simon simply listened as the boy spoke passionately about becoming a pirate and unknowingly fully convinced Simon to help them take to the seas. "Hey." Simon spoke up, trying to get the attention of the people as he stopped eating. "If you want to go and take to the seas, we should head out to the docks and find ourselves a ship to start out with. It's still morning. There should be more than a few ships to pick from." He picked up another exotic fruit and ate it, enjoying the taste as he moved his eyes to the ninja boy.
