Our adventure begins in the Slateport City in the Hoenn region.

The city is bustling with activity, more so than usual. A very rare occurrence was going to happen today: a meteor shower that's said to occur every fifty years or so. It was said that this meteor shower was not merely astral rocks flying through deep space, but a migration of pokemon beyond the stars, and should the people of Hoenn prepare for it, they may be visited by celestial pokemon. Whether or not these rumors were true wasn't really the point; it was a celebration and a holiday, and thus everyone was in a festive mood. The beachfront was absolutely populated by vendors and visitors hoping to see the meteor shower later that night. Even the ocean was populated with various boats and water craft in order to get a clear view of the sky tonight.

All the while, four very important people had just arrived. One person in particular was Tatsuya Goroshi, a girl seeking fame and fortune on the path of pokemon. Having arrived to Stateport city from Dewford Town, she had the pleasure of trying to work her way towards the city itself, hoping to stop by a pokemon center to gain her barrings. Though she wasn't a local to the Hoenn region, she had heard word of this festival while in Dewford Town and hoped to stay and watch. Not only that, but her pokemon could certainly use the chance to relax.

"Alright little ones, come out and stretch your legs!"

Tatsuya removed three pokeballs from her belt, letting her pokemon come out and prance about. The first was Kage, a poochyena wearing a red scarf. Tatsuya thought it looked cute on her. Then there was Mint, a ralt who immediately jumped onto Tatsuya for hugs. Snuggling her adorable little ralts Tatsuya nearly missed her aron, Tank, who seemed to use his time out of the ball to immediately curl up in the sand and take a nap. "Tch! Come on tank, I didn't let you out just so you can take a nap here! We have a whole city to see!" Eventually Tatsuya was able to make Tank take a stroll with her and the others as they explored Slateport City. There was a lot of things going on, and Tatsuya was certain that she'd find trouble soon enough.

~Kiara Bastion~
Current Location: Slateport City-Hoenn

A new adventure in the world of Pokemon! Many from all over the Hoenn Region had flocked here, to Slateport City in the attempts to watch the elusive meteor shower scheduled. While some rumors were flying around about the shower being a flock of Pokemon from beyond, only a few actually believed such things. Still, it was good to see such enthusiasm for a bunch of flying rocks.

One who shared that same passion was none other than Kiara Bastion, fresh from arrival of her own hometown nearby. With a grin on her face and a tap of her hat, she scanned the bustling beach to take the entire sight in. Perched on her shoulder was her partner Meowstic, the little creature near-bouncing in place.

“Hey now, reel it back in. I don’t want you running off into someone’s house again,” she warned playfully with a pat to her partner’s head. The Meowstic gave a sound of mischief, ears flicking to the side as it nuzzled against her Trainer’s hand. Both knew how much trouble the one Meowstic could get into on a single night alone. But this was a time for relaxation and rest.

Yet the sound of duel growling stomachs made both Kiara and Meowstic take pause, glancing down upon themselves. Ok, maybe first and then some rest. They had the whole day to look forward to after all. “Alright, let’s find someplace to eat then,” said Kiara, walking along the road closest to the beach side and looking around for a restaurant of some kind, noticing a lot of Trainers walking their Pokemon. “You could stretch your legs out you know,” she pointed out, only for Meowstic to cling tighter to her shoulder. “Yeah. Figured as much,” Kiara sighed.

Juno Eclipse
Slateport City

An adventure in the Pokeworld... oooh!

Meh, maybe not so much enthusiasm was needed after all. At least that wasn't the first thing on the mind of a certain Juno Eclipse who'd much rather preferred to spend the time before the meteor shower that was the talk of the whole Region at a seaside restaurant filling herself at the all you can buffet, along with her travel partners.

As was expected, Wobby was taking the role of Juno's butler, holding her plate while the girl stuffed it full with all manner of foodstuff, especially the house specialty, fresh sea food. "Nom, nom, nom..." The sound of Juno's runaway chewing filled the air, occasionally being cut by Wobby's chewing as Juno fed him with some treat or other.

On a table not very far from the purple-haired trainer, Abra rested asleep as is expected of him, resting over Juno's traveling gear. Only ever once in a while did the fox like psychic Pokemon move a hand minutely to drag one of the berries that Juno placed before him inside his mouth. Even this looked more like reflex than a conscious effort though.

Given that there was no space on the inside of the restaurant for a bull, Tauros was on the outside, chewing at a big stack of fresh veggies and sweet stuffs, like beets, carrots and berries, that Juno got for him, inside of an area exclusive for large Pokemon. If no one poked (poked, hah!) him the wrong way, Tauros wouldn't cause trouble for the time being... probably.

Roma Bhakti

An adventure in the pokemon world...was already in progress!

Pokemon, trainer, and bystander alike flocked to the bustling port city of Slateport to witness the passing of celestial matter across the night's sky. Many had there eyes glued to the sky above, or were keeping a watchful eye on their children splashing in the waves and dashing along the sands with rowdy pokemon. It was a hectic, but festive affair that spoke of the people's jubilation to be gathered and entertained en masse.

With everyone pouring onto the beach, it was the perfect time to enjoy the Slateport Museum in peace and quiet.

Roma stood before a display holding a long since fossilized pokemon from the ocean floor, her dull eyes flickering back and forth to gleam every curve of the ancient stone. Her hands were folded before her, sleeves joined at the waist to provide a perch for the sleeping Tentacool nestled against her. She turned to look at the woman manning the admissions desk and found her still watching Roma with a warm smile on her face. It was kind of her to waive the policy in regards to released pokemon in the museum, if only due to the lack of other customers and Tentacool's sleeping death grip upon Roma.

She'd been a touch disappointed to find no fossils of her newest pokemon, but observing what there was on display was still worth the trip to Slateport, even if Truffles and Weaboo had to stay in their pokeballs while she enjoyed the cultural landmark of Slateport.

"Excuse me, Miss, but the shower is due to start soon." The attendant said as she came out from around her counter and walked up to the entrance, an unspoken eagerness to view the shower hindered by an obligation not to leave the museum unattended.

"Ah, of course. Thank you for affording me your time." The Eel said, offering her an appreciative nod in passing before they slipped out the door and stood on the wharf before them to view the night's sky in all its splendor.

Night was falling, and already excited astronomers were able to see the coming meteor storm with their telescopes. It'd only be a few hours before night fell and the astral bodies would rain across space, and possibly even pay a visit to the planet itself. Tatsuya had spent her time in the city chowing down on various street foods for cheap, as well as gathering some information about what she could do or what to look for while she was here. One thing that certainly caught her interest was something called "The Battle Boat". Essentially, a large yacht that would set sail into the sea to get a pristine view of the meteor shower, even using specific pokemon to ensure no weather obstructions like cloud or fog. Compared to lying on the beach or sitting in a rocky boat among other boats, the yacht sounded like a much better option.

Of course there was a catch: there was only limited spacing that cannot be brought, but only won from battle. There was a total of ten places, and only the top ten battlers would get those places. It sounded way too exclusive, but Tatsuya didn't question it too much. She would get a chance to battle and possibly even the best seats to watch tonight's meteor storm, so it was a win-win to her. She'd have to hurry though, as the competition was about to begin, and once it does there will be no more contestants. "Alright everyone, back inside! We got a boat to win!" Tatsuya called for her pokemon back into the pokeballs as she made a run for the beach front to join in the battle.

Finding the place was easy enough: there was a huge area to the beach sectioned off for pokemon battles. There was a large crowd watching, and a only slightly smaller crowd who were going to take part in the battles. Tatsuya joined the line as soon as she could and applied for battle. She got a number, 57, and waited with bated breath for her turn to fight. The order of the competition was simple enough: A 80 trainers would battle, one against one. The first round should result in about 40 trainers remaining, and another one-on-one match will begin and should end with 20 trainers. The third and final round would have those 20 trainers pitted against one another, should end with 10 trainers. They would be the ones who get to go on the yacht.

Soon after Tatsuya had gotten her number, she heard it called out. It was time to battle. "Yeah! Let's do this!"

~Kiara Bastion~
Current Location: Slateport City-Hoenn

“It’s night already? When did that happen?!?”

“Meow, meow!”

Kiara could have sworn they had more time than that because when she exited the restaurant with Meowstic, the sky had already begun to darken. Well then again, they had been held up in line for their food. Some purple-haired glutton was causing such a commotion with her constant orders that Kiara feared they would run out of things on the menu entirely! A few hours later and finally, finally herself and her team had been fed full to the brim.

“Hmpf! If I see that grape-haired jerk, I’m going to beat her so bad she’ll be crying Dive Balls,” the Trainer muttered to herself. If it was supposed to be a joke, Meowstic wasn’t laughing but then again, none of Kiara’s jokes were particularly funny to begin with. Besides, Meowstic was also annoyed, not only for the delayed meal but also because the purple-haired girl had annoyed her Trainer.

Hands in her pockets, Kiara was wondering if anything could salvage this wreck of a moment. Fortunately, someone was smiling down upon her from below because her boot crunched against a wet paper along the beach front. Raising an eye, she picked up the soggy thing, both her and Meowstic scanning the advertisement with curious eyes.

“Battle Boat? Best ten Trainers get free seats? Close to the shower? Well what are we waiting for?” she said with an excited grin, Meowstic nodding enthusiastically in encouragement. Tossing the thing into the trash can-let it not be known Kiara Bastion litters-she quickly spotted the gathering spot and ran towards the beach.

By the time she arrived though, the number of people had skyrocketed and she wondered if she’d be able to join at all. A few minutes later and a ticket with the number sixty-three was held in her palm. “Man, I’d be a lower number if it wasn’t for that grape head,” she said to Meowstic with irritation. Once again she owed it to that girl for her misfortune.

Roma Bhakti

The exterior of the museum afforded a rather poor view of the night's sky. Looming before Roma's gaze where the cranes and high pitched roofs of the ship yards, wreathed in a variety of bright lights cast by the beach beyond. Even from the distance separating them, her ears were assailed by the reverberations of party goers swarming across sands.

A rumbling against her breast alerted the Eel that her Tentacool had awoken, it's big eyes creaking open with a flutter that left it staring up her. Roma expected it to latch onto her with its well intentioned Constrict and cry out for affection, but to her surprise the squid pokemon had its attention drawn away by the sounds of gathered trainers. She clutched the bouncing squid to her buxom to keep it from bouncing away into the water and swimming out along the beach where any trainer could mistake it for the many wild Tentacool and attack it.

"Hush little one. I will carry you there myself." Roma said with a consoling pet of its moist head. The Tentacool voiced its joy in being enabled and settle down so Roma could carry out her promise. Young as it was, it knew that she could be a real pushover when it came to the desires of her pokemon, as most others wouldn't bother to raise a common pokemon like Tentacool from an egg, let alone baby it as the Eel did.

They strolled down Slateport till pavement gave way to fine sand and Roma had to weave her way around planted umbrella's and boisterous youths playing among one another or their pokemon. She thought that Tentacool was perhaps looking for a similar playmate, maybe a young Igglypuff or a Marill, but the baby pokemon obstinately tugged its trainer towards the sounds of battle that had Roma standing at the end of a line for the Battle Boat tourney, not that she was aware of that.

"Really? This was what you wanted?" Roma deadpanned, only to receive a vigorous nod in response. "Hmm....okay, we had no other plans, so you may as well start training like Truffles and Weaboo."

A few minutes later, and the Eel would find herself at the front of the line with a ticket stamped 71 and standing before a plot of sand designated for her battle, wondering who would be going against her Tentacool first.

Juno Eclipse
Slateport City

@TheWindel @Lucius Cypher @Lonewolf685

When Juno came out of the restaurant there was still a little time before the evening, which she spent walking around the city and sightseeing all the cool stuff that the Hoenn Region had. Abra and Tauros were resting at their Pokeballs, while Wobby made a point of walking all around the place with Juno, thus i was no surprise that once he spotted a flier for some upcoming battle event happening in the beach, Wobby tugged the hem of his master's skirt to call for her attention.

"What's it, Wobby?" Juno's gaze was tore away from the window of a clothing store that had all sorts of cool trainer gear at the bulletin board where the flier Wobby was pointing to was pinned. "A battle tournament for spots on a boat? Do you think that there'll be some free food, Wobby? Or do you want to go just fight these people?"

Wobby nodded, twice. There probably would be free food for them to take as usual of these events and he wanted to go out and show whoever was there that he was the best Wobbuffet or the best Pokemon in a fight.

Not a long while ago and Juno would arrive at the Beach, just as a line was starting to form. It seems that they were lucky to get there early, Juno thought as she waited for the competitions to begin, staring at the number she was given, 18.

Soon the battles began. The first fights were huge; eighty pokemon trainers facing off against each other all at once, so huge that it was impossible to see them all. The ground shook and the skies changed weather rapidly as various battlers and their pokemon fought one another, but those didn’t matter too much. What was more important was the battle with our interpret heroes.

Tatsuya was assigned to face off against number 23, a young man who favored water pokemon. When spotting Tatsuya he said he’d go easy on her, which Tatsuya played along with. ”Aw, thank you! I promise you won’t regret it~” She said with a false, flirtatious tone. Plugging her headphones into her ears Tatsuya played her music and the battle would begin.

The first pokemon she brought out was Tank, while her opponent brought out Wingull. ”Alright tank, you know what to do!” Sure enough the little aron started by curling up into a ball, but not before the wingull fired a water gun at him. It was strong enough to cause Tank to sink into the ground, and the trainer mocked Tatsuya for her choice of pokemon. ”Ooooh! You said you were going to go easy on me! Time to teach you a lesson about what I do with liars. Tank, rollout!”

Suddenly, Tank started spinning in place. Despite the water gun making the sand around him muddy. The wingull didn’t see what hit him; one moment Tank was spinning on the ground and the next thing it knew, it hit the ground, knocked out. This surprised her opponent who thought that Tank would have been taken out by the water gun. Taking his wingull back the next pokemon was a lotad. Tatsuya’s opponent apologized for lying and said that this time he was going to go all out. ”Kufufufu! Show me your moves then.”

Tank won the initiative however, and his rollout was getting more intense. The lotad fired some bubbles at Tank, but it couldn’t stop the little metal tyke from running the lotad over, knocking him out with one hit. However right after Tank sprawled out on the ground, having taken a bit more of a beating that he could handle. Water attacks were always his weakness, even for his considerable defenses. Taking her out pokeball Tatsuya returned Tank. ”Good job Tank, sleep it off for now. Let’s go Mint!”

The little psychic pokemon was brought out, who immediately fell onto the sand beneath her. She wasn’t use to sand yet. Her opponent brought out a corphish, who had no troubles walking on sand. He came fast and aggressive with a Vice Grip, and if Mint didn’t act fast it could be over for her quickly. Fortunately Tatsuya was on point. ”Teleport!” Mint looked up just in time to see the corphish wrap it’s pincer around her face. The corphish was just perceptive enough to notices some sort of magical particles surround Mint right before she vanished, his attack missing.

”Now put him to sleep!”

The corphish just barely noticed the shadow above him as Mint used hypnosis on him, causing the corphish to fall asleep. His trainer was surprised too see a pokemon use Teleport so keenly in battle; usually teleport brought a pokemon back to somewhere “safe”, but Mint was able to attune her teleport to wherever she wanted, such as above the corphish. ”You got it Mint, now you just gotta knock him out!” Nodding her head Ralts used Disarming Voice on the Corphish, the mystical soundwave strong enough to push the corphish’s sleeping body over. His trainer tried to wake him up with shouting, but to no avail. One more blast from Ralts and the Corphish was out, and Tatsuya was the winner.

”Booyah! Good job Mint! You did great too Tank!” Praising her pokemon the ref on hand healed Tatsuya’s pokemon as well as gave her a small money reward for winning her first battle. The prizes and challenge would only get bigger from here however, and she has some time before the next fight. So Tatsuya decided to use that time to watch some of the other battles.

~Kiara Bastion~
Current Location: Slateport City-Hoenn

“Huff…Huff…way to go Meowstic!” cheered Kiara from her position at the opposite side of the battlefield. The waiting was honestly the worst part and when it was finally her turn to step up and battle she had done so with a fiery determination and vigor so strong it could burn a hole into the ground. Thus, the majority of the fight had been spent in a blur with a bare recollection of events.

She remembered her opponent using a Flareon, a Blaziken, and a Salazzle; it was evidently they liked fire a lot. Possibly a future arsonist but Kiara wouldn’t say that aloud. Thus, it had been a grueling match of wits, strategies, and will. In the end, she had come out on top with Meowstic to pull her through like always. In the end, the better Trainer had come out on top.

“Thanks,” she said proudly, accepting the cash reward as well as allowing her Pokemon to heal up. From what she understood, there would be at least two or three more battles to come but given that the others still needed to go she had some time to hang around. Meowstic, fresh from the healing, jumped onto her shoulder gently nudged her cheek.

“You did good out there Meowstic. Actually, no, wait…you were amazing,” Kiara said with a happily smile to her partner. The Pokemon responded with cute little cries to signify its agreement. Like anyone could seriously challenge them. With nothing else to do, Kiara found a small seat on the ground and watched the next few matches. Across from her was a purple-haired girl. "Won your first match too, right?” she asked Tatsuya with a friendly wave.
