So, in quick summary, we've got Urgrugg's merc ship which has jsut landed, Some Imperial ship with Fattius McNespy and Commodore Harker floating nearby, Rigged Fortune which has the tau, the dark eldar, and the penile colony escapee on board, and lastly, Lucius alone on a chaos vomit-experiment flying in a completely random direction which will ultimately splatter upon the space hulk.

Let me add to that.

@Wraithblade6 Looks alright to me. I might bring up some issues with spelling, but otherwise, it's fairly good.
Three things I will say, however: first of all, the Dark Angels, and by extension the Fallen scattered through space and time, had black armour until after the Great Betrayal, so whilst the red parts of his armour are probably accurate, because Techmarine, the dark green sections ought to be black.
Second, it may be a good idea to actually describe the armour he's wearing, since it's such a major part of his appearance; this may help if you need pointers. To wit, the latest Power Armour Pattern available to the Fallen Angels at the time of the Betrayal would likely have been Mark VI Corvus, though the Mark V Heresy Pattern would be more likely for any given Fallen to wear as the earlier and more common design.
And thirdly, just as a minor query, but in his history, you say "Deciding he would rather die than waste what remained of his life on some Emperor-forsaken hellworld," as if Xepherial's lifespan is limited by aging. I just wanted to make sure you were aware that Space Marines don't seem to age, or at least nowhere near as quickly as normal humans, as they can easily live to substantially more than 1000 years old if they keep surviving their battles, as many anecdotes prove.

@BCTheEntity

Thank you for the info. I just recently learned, like today, that DA's had the black armor. I will change that. Besides, black is badass. He'd probably have a Mark V pattern also. And I am additionally aware that space marines don't age much, if at all. Take what I typed to mean he didn't want to get killed on that world without answers. Clearly, he didn't fit in with the crowd. There's also the notion that a warrior without a war is no warrior at all, thus Xepherial hates wasting his potential usefulness in being stranded. He was created to fight and to serve his role, and he's not doing that on that planet.

btw, I was bored and made a first post. Enjoy.

A thunderhawk with warp drive capabilities?

That's some severely advanced mechanicum prototyping at some point in its existence.
To be honest i think it's impossible, but it's up to the GM to yay or nay.

(But coming up with a reasonable scenario shouldn't be hard to accomplish, and if you want i can help.)

@Klomster I looked it up ahead of time, and I did find a reference where it said they had the capability. Of course suddenly the site is down... ok it loaded, and maybe I did misread the reference. Anyway, I have two options. One, state that the rendezvous is not that far away, or two, get a bigger ship. I'm currently combing through lists of Imperial armada.

So, it seems you need at least a strike cruiser for warp travel, as the engines needed for it are apparently huge. I'm not sure what the others in this rp are using, but chances are, we'd never be able to meet up in the expanse of space.

I'm going to say Xeph didn't need warp speed.

@Wraithblade6 Alright, just wanted to make sure you were aware of all the stuff, and things.

@Klomster@Necroes Yeah, that is pretty much the idea, that we're all some degree of "not the good guys". But there are degrees, of course.

@Necroes@Wraithblade6@Hank@DepressedSoviet@BCTheEntity@Bright_Ops@Klomster

I'll get an update in today, but just a quick thing; there isn't any sign of Imperial ships as-of-yet - so everyone's posts going on about Imperial vessels/battlebarges/whatever are factually incorrect at the moment. While Outpost 3-12/19 will likely have called for reinforcement(s), you are all probably closer to the Hulk than any other assistance.

In fact it's likely that you're all the only ships there; that being the Rigged Fortune, Lucius' city-killing experiment ship, Urgrugg's band of cutthroats and the -chip.

More are incoming, but currently you are alone except for each other.

And this is why I chose the generic term, 'other vessels.'

I'm happy to let other people control the Rigged Fortune. After all, our little Tau is to busy screwing around with relics to actually know what the hell is going on.

The ship Lucius is on is probably going to dramatically crash into the Hulk in some way or another, possibly by activating a giant drill on the front and boring a hole several hundred meters into the Hulk's side. That shit doesn't really have a pilot of its own, see...

A strike cruiser?

What reference site are you using?
Since in battlefleet gothic, and a lot of fluff and the rogue trader rpg rulebook say that while expensive, the warp drives can be fitted on reasonably small ships.

That being transport ships.
So roughly the size of an escort, so roughly 1 kilometer.

(Most in system transports though lack warp drives and gellar fields, which usually result in most of the vessels in 40k actually don't have warp drives.)

There are in fact scout sloops that are slightly smaller, which can also have a warp drive. But more advanced warp drives usually takes more space and thus is difficult and considered too expensive to put on smaller vessels.
But many 40k vessels being relics with odd things on board, resulting in surprising things from time to time. These odd one outs are usually ordered or gotten hold of by rogue traders.

But yeah @Wraithblade6, the simplest way to have -chip get to the scene, is that the planet it was launched from actually is in system.

Also, i think the confusion with the battle barge stems from a slightly unclear description in the initial description of the hulk. If read speedily, it can appear as the battle barge is not part of the hulk. Which it is.

I think the ship my character was on is sort of smeared across the left side of the hulk. Bent around like a piece of pasta on a shoe.

Thanks. All my 40K info comes from the web in loose fragments. Some of it IS wrong. At this point, I have yet to acquire a single Warhammer novel, although Master of Mankind has caught my eye.

Well, given his status as a mercenary-and his somewhat pressing need to be on a ship leaving the hulk-Urgrugg doesn't have any interest in shooting potential customer. At least, in so far as he'll hesitate just long enough for someone to reach for/aim their weapon before killing them.

I can't help but feel the irony in any situation where the ork is the least likely in a group to start a fight.

I'm writing a post so I'm just curious, don't want to step on any toes.
