Name:Jinayah Ifriti
AKA: Jin, "The Mechanic"
Age: 16
Race: Human
Appearance:
A short, scowling, dark skinned young girl. Rail thin, barely 5 feet tall, black hair and very dark, very wary eyes.
Faction: (Juvenile) Criminal
Role in Team?: Apprentice Mechanic
Bio: Jin could have had a great future. She was always a smart child, curious and running circles around her classmates in most subjects. However, any chance at greatness died along with her parents when she was about 8. The rough streets of an Earth slum raised her from there - her brilliance turned toward survival and then criminal acts of increasing talent and illegality. When she was 15, and freshly sentenced after a 4th (almost successful) escape attempt, the Council came to her with a choice: waste in isolation prison due to an extended sentence, or join the crew of the Monroe. If she can until 18 without mishap or death, her record will be sealed, and she can start her adult life as a brand new person. Realizing this would likely be her only chance to do something else in life, she took the offer. Time will tell if she lives to adulthood.
Personality: Foul mouthed, disrespectful, and has a chip on her shoulder the size of a computer. Once you get past that, she's still the same curious person she's been all her life - eager to learn and full of questions. Deep, deep beneath that is a scared, lonely child who really wants to just feel safe again one day, but realizes she doesn't remember how "safe" feels anymore.
Weapon(s): None, but she knows how to use various guns, and once refurbished a small microwave as an ion cannon.
Star-fighter?: None.
Family/Relationship?: No one left that she cares to think about.
Other: Young Jin has a long rap sheet and an always active brain. The Captain will have an extensive list of things not to leave her alone with, as well as access to the disarming shock anklet she wears 24/7. She has tried to break, hack, or otherwise disable this anklet multiple times, and is determined to beat it.
