It does sort of blend in with the background and make it harder to read.

You get used to it with enough practice. Especially if you already know the color name you want. Just flows with your writing eventually. XD

I usually go by a type of color I find fitting for my character.

For example, Phalanx is purple because it's a fitting color for Geth and Quarians. Then went to the list of colors the site gives in the Toggle menu and look for the correct shading. I decided on Plum because it's a purple that's so neon it burns but not too dark or light where you can't see.

Plus feels like a calm but cheery color xD

Actually, inspired by @Silver Fox's example, steel blue was actually the color I thought to use for Vella in my next post(given she's probably the bluest character in this RP!)! But any other color of that same level of luminosity basically works too, so choose freely ^^
