Well I'm looking to set up a Tactical homebrew Rp, using armies and leaders mostly using a custom battle calculator system. More on the technical side on a later point I suppose.
The basic idea however, is that Everyone will roleplay as leaders of Factions owning their own town set in a large Empire. Everyone will be able to make their own races with special traits and abilities attached to them and be able to interact on a either political level, person to person and through warfare.
We will all be starting as a Part of the Same large empire, minor factions serving the empire. However with many enemy factions around there will be plenty of things to keep us busy.
However, players will also be able to declare war on each other, and one of the Goals for warfare Victory is to conquer the other player factions.
I will draw and update the map as we go, using a Map maker from probably "Age of Wonders III" So a map based on hexagonal tiles.
The System will use rather simple numbers and calculations that hopefully work out in the end.
Army Example Of Armies could be something as following:
Race: Human
Type: Light Infantry
Size: 100
Hitpoints: 1
Attack: 2
Ranged: 0
Defense: 1
Speed: 1
Equipment:
Weapon: Improvised Melee Weapons +1
Armor: Light Tunics +1
No additional bonus:
Vs
Race: Evil Humans
Type: Light Infantry
Size: 100
Hitpoints: 2
Attack: 3
Ranged: 0
Defense: 0
Speed: 1
Equipment: Light Standard weapons +2
Armor: Regular clothing +0
Blessed By Evil Deity: Hp +1
Assuming both fight with the same initiative: A battle log would be something like:
Both armies march up to each other and duke it out:
Humans inflict 200 damage vs 0 defense =200 : 200 damage = 100 casualties among Evil humans as they got 2 hp each.
Evil humans inflict 300 damage vs 100 defense = 200 : 200 damage = 200 casualties among Humans as they only got 1 hp each.
Ratio: 2.1 Casualties inflicted
Approximately 100 Humans are lost while only 50 Evil Humans are lost.
Evil Humans win the battle.
And so on...
Leaders will have their effects in battle, and on politics and economy that will all play into the big picture.
Such as a Human town may have a base income of 100. Be lead by a Human Leader that give 10% bonus to Trade giving it 110 Income monthly.
Difficult stuff asside, on the side of making decisions in war battles or on the strategy map, each Player will play a week at a time in the Rp:
Day: 1 Oversaw the construction of the New Mills.
Day: 2 Set out on a 2 day trip to Elven Kingdom for political mission.
Day: 4 Arrived at Elven kingdom, decided to speak to the court. (Established Trade +1d10x10 income)
Day: 5 Set out on a 2 day trip back home.
Day: 7 Decided to rest and and use take a day of free time.
And so onto the next player who decide what they do, and once all players have done their turn a week have passed.
Players can visit each other if allowed by other players, such as if the Elves was a Player they could engage in conversation, and Roleplay an 'Entire day' together and give a summary... perhaps they make a good relation that will benefit both with trade and a later political marriage?... or perhaps it dosen't turn out so well... and they end up declaring war on each other.
The Empire itself will be neutral and not favor any race until its at least conquered by someone, but will start much stronger than any player.
There will be Empire quests that give rewards and influence etc.
Basically i'm only asking if there's any interest before even putting in the effort to develop it further as I already have a dev plan, but there's really no point if nobody want to play xD
