I've strayed away from using them (except in on-going RPs where it would be jarring if I suddenly stopped doing so) and don't use them unless everyone else does. Real books don't use colors either, so I use writing tricks to easily distinguish my dialogue in another way (keeping it at the end or start of a paragraph, or dedicating an entire line just to a single piece of dialogue.)
