Background: Theoduin was born during the elf/human wars and he was cherished and loved. He was taught how to survive in the world and he became a master with the bow and arrow as well as with the sword.

Theoduin heard the rumors of his cousin the banished one. He had been born a drow and therefore cast out into the world. His Aunt often cried for her son whom she'd had to give up at just 10 years old. Theoduin made it a mission to try to find his lost cousin and see if he could bring him back for his aunt.

While out hunting one day Theoduin caught sight of a beautiful young woman. She was playing in the water with another young woman. Since that day he now searches her out and watches from afar, protecting her on occasion without her knowledge.

Background: Freya was born into the middle class. She had an older brother who was protective of her. Freya was exuberant and happy most of the time. She would often be in the company of her best friend Sabina Parrish, who was the princess. Freya would carry a short sword with her when they would go out alone. She knew how to use it and had been trained well enough for the King to allow her to take Sabina out on their own.

She often got the feeling that they were being followed but she couldn't quite prove it or catch the one following. Eventually, she figured whomever was following them must be on their side as they had never tried to harm them. She still stayed alert just in case.

Freya would often times carry herbs back to her mother that she would find for her while out with Sabina. The girls would wander off to go swimming or play games or explore.

Background:
Hatharal is the son of the high priest of Ilyra and born during the great human-elf conflict. Although both parents had light skin and clear blue eyes, he was born with olive skin and strange golden eyes. To his parents, he was beautiful and they cherished him. To the rest of the elves, he was tainted. Rumors about his birth spread across the land, some speculating that his mother was raped by a human as some sort of retribution while some whispered that his mother had an illicit affair with a human behind his father's back. Despite his parents' insistence that none of those things happened (and none really did), the royal family feared the strange dark skinned boy and opted to cast him out.

The royal decree was as follows: Hatharal was to be casted out but the high priest and his wife were to remain in Ilyra as they were important elves in the community. Both parents refused and fled to the outer edges of the forest where they tried to keep their son hidden. For several years, the small family remain hidden. To be able to stay together, his father devised a plan to cross the barrier into the human realm but before he could enact his plans, the royal guards found them. Hatharal had only been 10 years old when he was casted out of the magical barrier that protected Ilyra from the rest of the world, preventing him from ever stepping into the land he rightfully belonged in. His parents were forcibly brought back to the castle where the King was waiting, ready to pardon the couple so long as they forgot about their "tainted" son.

The young elf, lost and alone and with no one to rely on, wandered the magic-less, unfamiliar forest in the human realm, staying close to the barrier. He tried walking through the barrier he had been cast out several times but he could not cross it and ended up hurting himself. Nevertheless, he tried for several hours that eventually turned to several days until he could no longer bear the hunger and the weariness. Abandoned and hungry, he wandered off, away from the place he once knew as home.

Eventually, he stumbled upon elves with the same dark skin that he had. He was immediately taken into the small group and learned that they had all been casted out of Ilyria just like he was. He gravitated towards the oldest male in the group and came to look up to him as a father.

The seed of hate for his light skinned kin that had been planted in his heart the moment he had been casted out of Ilyra blossomed into something massive as he grew up in the foreign land. He vowed to topple those that put such discrimination in place.

Background:
Sabina came from the long lone of royals that had been in the great human-elf conflict several centuries ago. Although she knew all the stories, she had been raised to believe that they were all fairy tales and fiction. No magic existed in the world and elves, being creatures of magic, cannot possibly exist. But despite being led to believe that what transpired was merely make believe, she frequently daydreamed of magical lands and magical creatures and often spent time in the forest, hoping to be able to meet an elf.

Even as she entered her teenage years, she still retained her childhood fantasies and often discussed it with her bestfriend, Freya Miner. Together, the two would wander the forests, imagining what an elf would look like (records of the elves had been taken out of the castle library) and how their realm would appear.
