Hey guys. If any of you have read 'Gone' by Michael Grant, you'll know what I mean. If not, no problem! It's a simple concept.

A mysterious dome has constructed itself around a small surfer town and everyone over the age of 15 suddenly disappears. Some of the surviving kids begin to gain powers, such as gravity manipulation and flame throwing. That's the basic premise of 'Gone'.

For this roleplay, I want to take that idea and change it a bit. Maybe so that it's over 18's who disappear, and that the dome has been around for decades, pitting the children in a constant civil war and whoever survives to 18 leaves and enters the real world? Maybe the entire thing is televised (no, not The Hunger Games. Considerably more violent, similar to Death race perhaps)?

This is where you guys come in. Post your ideas here, PM me them, let's think up a great, constantly-changing persistent world to foster our characters in. I'm an easy going guy (probably too easy going), so I'll need a co-GM (someone trustworthy, because I'm a lazy little bugger) to help (also, I have exams on for the next little while).

This would probably be rated a 15 for strong language, strong violence (possibly bloody or detailed) and anything else that we feel like doing.

Thanks guys!

Very interested, there was one of these in the Free section but it wasn't put together well and free roam wasn't the best fit for a rp like this.

Yeah, I'm not keen on Free. This will be mid Casual to Advanced. Decent grammar and punctuation required, of course, but I'm not Hitler with a dictionary. I don't think this is going to be fully free-roam, but it will to a certain degree. There will be a general push in a direction though, to keep players headed towards the same point.

Looks like a decent premise. Not sure about the superpowers bit, but I'll watch this space anyway.

The superpowers did that to me before I started the book as well. They're easily replaceable here, but I just wanted to give people that choice.

Also, two more people, that's great!

Another suggestion is that we have some kind of unstable, not-entirely-in-control government? Either good or bad, just trying to keep things together (or control everyone, w/e).

How about a corrupt government? That could be a main plot for our first arc, a group of kids in the FAYZ trying to regain a stable and fair government.

Something similar to Caine in the first book? Like a revolution?

Sure, except the conditions and the king is way worse. And our groups of rpers have to band together to stop him.

Yeah, sounds great. If anyone else likes the idea, let us know so we know if it's a majority decision.

Yes, sounds good. This would be my first, but hey, looks fun.

So if it's a revolution, are we the only group rebelling? And are there more ruling groups? If this place was really as big as the FAYZ, or even larger, then there must be multiple ruling factions that control different sections of the land. People by the coast, the Rangers in the forests, Townies, etc.
