Well, I was going to have it that the library I sat the tetra manor, Merrik simply keeps what books he needs in his room which is packed full of shelves of books, and he stocked each of the other tamers shelves with generic books. As they're needed, he will bring back the appropriate literature from the manor.

That definitely a possibility, though I was thinking it would be an out building instead, as I don't want to convert TOO many stalls. They were originally built a long time ago and even adding the kitchen and wash house was hard for Merrik, removing so much heritage and history

In a sense, she did give consent. She totally gave consent under the impression that they were going to the bedroom and she would rob him blind. And although it doesn't show, she wants to do this too.
