"What I do is for the Cenith Empire. If the Empire says to take that hill no matter the cost, I don't try. I do it."- Lt. Gunter Speidel before the Battle of Wolfreach during the crusade.
Name: Gunter Speidel Gender: Male Age: 25 Species: Human Appearance: Picture above. Gunter is a big man, having been built for heavy infantry work. Very muscular and intimidating in his armor.
Personality: A soldier at heart, Gunter is a man with an objective: take the fight to the enemy and apply as much explosive solution as feasibly possible. Even so, out of combat Gunter is often very calm but intimidating, using this feature to his full advantage to keep his platoon in line. However, he was also known to be compassionate with his men, helping them with any problems they came across. As with most soldiers, Gunter is prideful of his own country and proud to be serving in the Empress's Royal Army.
With the recent loss of most of Gunter's family, Gunter is in a torn state, with Gunter being unpredictable and irritable even toward his own superiors. He has not got reprimanded yet as his feelings are mutual across the majority of the army, but Gunter is walking the line.
Bio: To understand Gunter's background, there must be an brief explanation of Gunter's world. The Empire of Cenith and the Collad Republic, both military powerhouses, were at each other's throats since the day the Collad Republic seceded from the Empire. Now, however, there is a even larger threat to both nations than each other: a entity, or what some would call an infection of the land, that is only known as "The Mire." It would take a book to write about everything about the Mire and what it could do, but as for an example of what this entity could do was learn from the minds of those who perished within it, raise the dead back from their grave and boost their abilities, and even take control of the mind in some cases. Even so, both sides fought each other from the days of knights and horses to trench warfare to finally the days where the first assault rifle was first being deployed in elite military units.
When Gunter came into the world, he was born into a very patriotic family. The family has had a history of military service and was proud of it. They expected their son and later their daughter, Gunter's younger sister, to enlist into the Royal Army of the Cenith Empire. This was only reinforced by the fact that school in Cenith taught military classes. Upon his graduation, Gunter decided to enlist into the Royal Army, passing basic training with flying colors, and serving first as a basic rifleman.
Eventually, Gunter climbed through the ranks and reached the rank of Lt, but soon after his valiant last stand against a Mire incursion protecting a town from sure destruction he was recommended to undergo higher tier specialized training. Gunter accepted this proposal and underwent the Royal Army's training program for grenadiers, the Royal Army's shock infantry and explosive specialists. Passing this training, he was put into the famous 12th Royal "Blasting Betty" Grenadier Regiment.
Unfortunately at this point in Gunter's career the world decided that the Cenith Empire and the Collad Republic were a threat to their new religion centered around the Mire and called upon a crusade to eliminate both nations. Though both nations have populations that would make China blush in comparison, the Collad Republic and the Cenith Empire after having a relative 10 years worth of peace made an unlikely alliance to repel the invaders. Five years in, the crusade is still going strong, but the nations are not giving any ground without a fight. Millions of lives are already lost, including some of those of Gunter's family and friends. Still, Gunter survived for five years worth of the crusade in intense battles and combat. At one point, just entering a combat zone alive made a soldier a veteran! Gunter did this and much more for his family and his country, if not because the religious fanatics at his doorstep would murder him.
Power: Gunter wears a bracelet that contains eight orbs-like "gems" of magical energy, activating many passive buffs for Gunter. As long as Gunter has his bracelet he has the ability to be slightly tougher via a weak shield if an attack lands, his attacks hitting slightly harder, slightly faster and more agile, and heal quicker than normal. Of course, this was nothing special in Gunter's world. In addition, he can use minor magic with water, earth, air, and fire. Likes: The Empire, his family, his comrades, the Royal Army and his equipment Dislikes: Religious fanatics, insubordination, and generally anything that wants to kill him. Family: Only living family Gunter now has is his sister Natali Speidel, who is yet to be 18. Friends: Gunter's platoon can be called his friends as he would die in a ditch for them. Sentimental Attachment: Gunter keeps a photograph of his regiment and his family in his breast pocket. Always. Weapon: 7.5mm Field Assault Rifle, 4-shot Grenade Launcher, "power" sword, Semi-Auto handgun, combat knife, 5kg worth of demolition charges, wide variety of grenades to be used with the grenade launcher. Other: Grenadier-issued explosive-resistant armor, Standard issue orb bracelet, Matches, Compass, All-Weather Clothing, Multi-purpose tool, Sanitation and personal hygiene items, Emergency Blanket, First-Aid Kit, Cenith-Issue Gas Mask, Work Gloves, Heavy-Duty tape, Cenithian-issue foldable survival shovel, foldable survival hatchet, Cenithian issue Rucksack, Cenithian Issue Binoculars, Airtight shatterproof safety Jar.
@Bushman501 Holy crap, that's pretty damn good, I wanted to do something similar to this at first but I couldn't pull off a good story or power/armory set for it. NOICE.

ok to keep it simple, and open, we can just say that Eli (future hero not yet in this RP) and D'ren were dispatched to figure out how much of a threat your character was to the multiverse. when they encountered him, they got into a scuffle. It was a draw, your character fled (somehow, you can figure that part out if you want), and my characters just put him on the list of people to keep a look out for. they didnt hunt him, since they had more powerful things to hunt, but they just had a warrant out for his arrest.
and so now your character is on the heroes side? i assume. since we're all supposed to be heroes of the multiverse?
@Infamous Empath He isn't a hero no, he looks after himself only. The people summoned are either heroes or villains who can survive in the world they are being summoned to and willing to do anything for survival for either themselves or others. Though that isn't a bad idea so I don't mind.
