*Jillian nods.*
Jillian: I am fine... just give me a bit.
*She finishes stitching her wound, but remains resting.*
Jillian: I'll talk to her...
*She slowly stands up using one of the discarded chairs.*

[Overlord Thraka]

*Horus nods and lets Mergoux up, but blocks the doorway*

*Mergoux stands up and rubs her ribs, then looks between Jillian and Horus*

*Iris hugs Hanna back*
Iris: It's okay... You want to go see if the fighting is over?

*Jillian leans on the counter, and sighs.*
Jillian: Your name? ... I am Jillian.
*She sighs again, and looks at Merg with a hard stare.*
Jillian: You don't look like a low man, that's what I figure at least. Speak true... Are you in league with the "Good man Farson."

*Hanna tightens the hug slightly and shakes her head*

Hanna: N-no... T-there might b-be more blood...

[Overlord Thraka]

*Mergoux glances between them both again then sighs and looks at Jillian*
Mergoux: My name is Mergoux.
*She frowns slightly*
Mergoux: A low man? If you mean a commoner, then no, I suppose I'm not. I've no idea who 'Good Man Farson' is either. I ran into these yellowcloaks outside, they offered to hire me to help find a killer. They said they were rebels against some regime, I didn't get specifics. I was hired to do a job, by people I thought were at least... not evil. Turns out I might've been wrong. They opened fire with innocents around. That's... not something I tolerate.

*Iris nods and gently strokes Hanna's hair to calm her down*
Iris: Alright... It's okay. We'll just wait for someone to come get us then okay? Or maybe I could go look?

[Vulkan 707]

*Jillian nods in agreement.*
Jillian: You are correct they are evil, and yes I was part of a regime... but the regime is gone.
*She stares at Merg for a long moment, then lights up a cigarette.*
Jillian: I... cry pardon for shooting you, if you like I can treat the wound.

[Overlord Thraka]

*Mergoux hesitates but eventually nods*
Mergoux:...Alright... What was that thing? I've never seen anything like it. It was so loud!
*She rolls back the sleeve of her plain roughly made shirt to reveal more ornate tattoos of manacles around her wrists sprouting chains that morph into vines that curl and wrap around her muscled arm, disappearing under the rolled up sleeve at her shoulder*

*The gunshot wound has had a bandage hastily tied around it, but the bullet is still in the arm, and it's bleeding badly.*
*Mergoux must be in quite a bit of pain, but she doesn't outwardly show any as blood trickles down her arm*

*Hanna nods to Iris*

Hanna: O-ok I'll be r-right here.

*She gnaws on her thumb*

*Iris nods, ruffles Hanna's hair and goes to see what's what*

*Horus cleans up the kitchen*

*Mergoux allows herself to be treated*

*Hanna curls up on the bed and waits*

*She hums to herself quietly*

*The pup has gotten itself stuck and is now barking in one of the side rooms*

*Jillian starts to treat Merg's wound.*
Jillian: It is called a firearm, it fires metal slugs.
*She looks at Merg's tattoos, but decides not to pry. She then finishes dressing the wound, and smiles at her work.*
Jillian: Should be alright now!

[Overlord Thraka]

*Mergoux nods and rolls her sleeve down*
Mergoux: I've never seen one before... Seems powerful.
*She winces slightly as she flexes the injured arm and looks at Jillian*
Mergoux: Thank you. So, who exactly are these yellowcoats? What do they have against you?

*Iris speaks with Horus in the doorway, and peaks around him at Mergoux*
*She nods and goes back to find Hanna*
Iris: Hanna? Hanna it's okay. It's all over

*Hanna slips out of the room she was hiding in and walks to Iris's side*

*She stays quiet and tries not to focus on the lingering scent of blood*

*Dog is under a box and can't free herself*

*She bums into walls and furnishings*

*Jillian nods.*
Jillian: Firearms are dangerous, and powerful. Though mine is a little old fashion.
*She sighs, and brushes back her bangs.*
Jillian: They are called Low men, they work for a dark power that destroyed my home, and killed off most.. if not all my kin. I think they wish to finish the job by slaying me.

[Overlord Thraka]

*Mergoux's mouth tightens as she hears the tale, as she relates to Jillian's tale*
Mergoux: I'm sorry... What can be done? Can they be stopped at all? And this power, what is it?
*Her tone is deadly serious*

*Iris puts a arm around Hanna and smiles gently down at her*
Iris: Hey, you okay?

*Horus cleans up all the blood and stuff, then piles the Low Men into a corner of the kitchen for Jillian to deal with*

*Hanna nods slowly then looks at the ground*

Hanna: ...

*She walks over to the sink to get a drink*

*Iris looks around the kitchen and sees Mergoux. She looks curious but doesn't bother her as Merg's talkin' with Jillian*
*Grabs herself some fruit and smiles at Hanna*
Iris: Hanna, you want to take a proper look around here after your drink?

*Hanna drinks her water and walks next to Iris*

Hanna: I'm r-ready.

*The dog transforms into an NPC and walks around the room being a dog.*

*Iris smiles kindly and offers her hand to Hanna then goes to explore the room*
Iris: So what first? I think we should avoid that bar... maybe- Oh! Here's a library! Do you know how to read Hanna?
*He leads into the library and starts browsing the shelves for anything interesting, smiling happily as her skin turns yellow*
